Advanced boosting tips

Warhawk servers are going to be shutdown, at this point the trophy hunters wanna know how to boost all the huge amount of kills, so i gonna explain you how to do so in the most efficient way.

 

(you don't need other people except for the battle clan win trophy which requires 1 other person. The rest of trophies can be done in split screen alone (including the grindy ones), but personally i couldn't unlock a few with this way (i rememeber Hit List and World Victory) and i had to play with randoms; no one really skilled is still on the game so you can do them in few attempts)

 

(Check if you can get the Bandwidth Donor trophy first, a weak connection won't allow you to make a ranked room making the platinum impossible. If you see you can get this trophy, DONT DO IT! leave and work for medals/badges/rank before go for it or this may happen:

 

(Do the 3 trainings as they involve 3 trophies and teach you the game)

 

(The Legion of Merit medal has a 1% chance to glitch and be impossible to unlock, i know this happened to me with an alt and to another player, you may want to try this first once you get 5,000 kills before you go for the rest of the long grind)

 

Tip from GastNDorf: if you have 5 or more bots, you can play in Hero mode (excluding when you need other modes ofc), where you will be alone in your team vs the bots with all troup's weapons (+ammo replenish after few min) and higher damage. reason for why you shouldn't do so with less than 5 bots is that 1 of them will have that role and it will take awhile to be killed (better to ignore it), not to mention the role rotates between the players so that will make you lose some kills if before getting killed a bot becomes the Hero, recovering all health and having a lot of resistance.

 

TheYuriG: note that when you make the minimum amount to players higher than 1, you will be in a pre-fight match until enough players are in (yellow permanent message on top-left of the screen, do not confuse that with the Welcome message which disappears soon), as long as you are in this match the stats WILL NOT COUNT.

 

 

 

The Begin

 

First thing to keep in mind is that this game allows fight as soldier, inside a vehicle and inside a plane, similar to Battlefield games; you need all ranks, medals and badges (these last are similar to medals but involve almost only X kills with a weapon), for a total of 30,000 kills around. Now assuming you've read the 2 threads about hackers and ranked glitch room, let's talk where and how to boost.

 

You start for each respawn with a handgun, knife and 2 grenades, all the weapons are scattered around the map, to quickly travel use the aircraft which is very easy to use. I recommend to start with some badges to take the hand on the game, they are divided into Bandit, Master and Warhawk (we can consider that as Bronze, Silver and Gold) rank and must be earned in that order per weapon. Global requirement must be done first and then you can do the IAR ones, all the requirements for badges ask a specific amount of kills (excluding few of them which you can leave as last) so you don't need a good memory to remember what to do, just take in mind that very few weapons don't have badges to earn.

 

Make a glitched rank room on Capture the Flag unbalanced teams, Eucadia-Valley Run map (put the Return Time to max), each ps3 can offer max 4 players from split screen so adjust your max players allowed. This map has an alternative spawning point from your base with 2 jeeps, in this spot the bots will spawn in the same spot over and over again, allowing easy kills. First thing to do is to get the flag with a bot and go on this spot, you need to kill 500 flag carriers, and this also gives extra xp towards ranks. On this spot, you can get all kills here (but we will leave the Air-to-Air kills for later), in fact there is a missile turret on the base closest to the one you begin from facing this spot, a binocular close to this spot, on your base you can find assault rifles, snipers, rocket launchers and mines, there is also a Tank, not to mention the jeep. All these stuffs can be done here including knife and handgun.

Some kills can be combinated, in fact if before your shots hit the target you get inside an aircraft, the kills will be counted for the weapon+done from the aircraft, this helps to cut the time towards the 5,000 Air-To-Surface kills if you use the bot to go inside the jeep, this is helpful when you are doing the Binocular kills. For Air-to-Surface kills which you will do now use also the aircraft with the weapons TOW (pink weapon, air mines are purple) and Cluster Bomb (light blue weapon, to not be confused with the Lightning gun), then you can use any other weapon you want.

The second phase

With all these things done, is time for some Zones farm to take a break from the kills. There are only 2 medals about Zone mode, "Zone Offence" and "Zone defence".

IMPORTANT: a zone is considered expanded/captured/neutralized/reducted only from 1 player, this means that if a bot is in your team doing that then there is a 50/50 chance that it will get the stat and not your main (which instead will get the assist that does not count), this means that the teams must be You alone vs All the bots.

 

Make a Zone mode unbalanced teams anywhere in a big map, if you have more than 1 ps3 and the Broken Mirror dlc make the map with it since you will have the APC where you can have 7 bots in unlike the jeep which has only 3 spots.

Now, find a zone you like, and have the bots capturing it up to level 1, then you go on it to capture it for your team up to level 2, now your bots make the zone back to them to level 1 and this is the way you gonna boost this. With this cyrcle you will get:

• x1 reduction/neutralization (from level 1 enemy's zone to 0, the requirement considers both in total, exaple 500 reduction and 500 neutralization will work for the 1000 required, but is longer doing a reduction so just focus on 1000 neutralizations)
• x1 capture (from level 0 to 1 for your team, you need 1000 total)
• x1 expansion (from level 1 for your team to level 2, you need 500 total, once done you can capture up to level 1 to make things faster for captures)

You also need 200 zone defends (Zone mode only), simply kill your bots when they are trying to reduce your zone (POEman553 suggestion: with the APC close to your zone (not too close to avoid to capture it), keep 1 bot as driver and spawn inside with the others bots, as with this way you can quickly get your bots back to the zone). And this ends the Zone mode medals after the IAR requirements of course.

Finish the 25 hours inside a jeep/tank as you won't use them anymore.

 

The third phase

Now is time to do the Air-To-Air kills. You need 5,000 totals as well as some aircraft weapons. You also need 100 wins on Team Deathmatch and 50 on Deathmatch, so make a lobby on these modes without a too high limit (or you'll finish kills before wins) and as the Map layout scroll until you find "Dogfight" (i personally played on Eucadia), here you and bots will automatically be in an aircraft making the grind less boring. Simply use the weapons scattered around that you need to get kills, probably at some point you will have all weapons done so just kill until you hit the 5,000 Air-To-Air kills.

 

The final phase

 

  Time to get all medals and badges you still need (leave the 50h aircraft requirement for now), no real tips here, proceed in any order. Take in mind these medals:

• Munition Badge: this will unlock automatically during other badges as there are 17 warhawk weapon badges available against the 16 required
• Teamwork badge: will come during XP boost
• Team Death Match medal: the 100 round points IAR, since you are forced to play in this mode for the other IAr requirement, can be done quickly by capturing zones
• Marksman medal: the weapon accuracy % requires the 25% for any troup weapon, since you were boosting there is no way you managed to keep all weapons' accuracy lower than 25% expecially for the binocular, so do not worry about this requirement.

 

Last step are XP, boost in The Badlands, Fortress, put flags limit to 10 and enable Fly With Objective, now simply capture the flags with the aircraft, you can max 19 (with change team) before match restarts.You may need to do some of the requirements as not all involve to get a specific medal/badge, the one for 100 warhawk Wings mean be the best player of the match, should have come during the kills. Once you are done, finish the 50h in aircraft (same room we used to Air-To-Air kills), you can be idle but fill the spots with bots to avoid that a random joins, every 30minutes you must respawn again to resume the timer unless you have a turbo pad, set it to X button and you can leave your ps3 running for the night.

Now do the rest of trophies without need to worry about hackers.

Extimated timefor 100%: it depends from how many bots you can have, i would say around 100hours with you+3 bots.

Thanks for posting this, great advice. I started on TDM and DM since the rounds can be 5 minutes round. Do 1 kill, have it count as a win and it will take 8 hours to do TDM and 4 hours to do DM (I had already done the IAR kills for each medal).

 

But I will have to do CTF quite a bit now.

 

With 2 copies of the game, how many bots would I have available?

Some more tips that might be helpful:

 

Get a turbo controller for weapons kills then have the other bots run into the line of fire.

The stats will not update immediately (found this out the hard way). You will get medals/ribbons but it may take a few minutes. Shutdown the game and start it back up.

For people doing Flag Saves, what's the best way to do it (besides setting the timer to 15 seconds and maybe using the knife with a turbo controller)? I'm finding I'm losing a lot of time trying to get the flag, get the bot back to my attacking turbo host for a knife kill/flag save.

Also wondering a thing about time requirements, if you play in glitched ranked splitscreen, would it take less time if the main and alt sit in vehicles? Say you need 50h in aircraft, what if the main and alt accounts sit in one during 25 hours at the same time, would it work?

Running into an issue where teams can't choose APC's as a spawn point, which will speed up the boosting process.

As long as the driver is in, they can respawn there; unless for zone defences doing that is useless as you have that good spawning point in eucadia.

The driver is in, but I can't choose APC as a spawn point.

Why you say that is slower doing a neutralization?

 

You got a neutralization, when you reduce from level 1 to level 0 an enemy zone, so if a bot stay on a zone and continuosly conquer it at level 1 and you continuosly neutralize the zone (by step in and then step out of it), it's faster than doing a reduction.

 

EDIT:

 

I managed to obtain 122 neutralizations by doing the step in-out method described above in a 30 minutes match and just 2 pads, so it's very very good (8-9 matches to reach 1000 neutralizations and so, 1000 captures for the other requirement later).

 

Only the expansions are slow. I managed to obtain 63 of them with the same method in a 30 minutes match.

Some more advice from over the weekend:

 

-Medals will not unlock if you are exactly on the dot with the global requirements for the medal. You have to do IAR requirements afterwards. Weird I know -- Legion of Merit unlocked for me after I did 20 zone defends. All of the other medals were the same with this.

-If you're going for a badge/medal and you met the requirements, always quit out of the game from XMB and wait about 5 to 10 minutes, maybe longer depending on how many matches you did at once. Then when you login, you'll get the badge/medal you are working on.

-The Badlands/CTF & Zones is probably the best map (thanks to Arkon Rhys from his solo boosting tips), especially with APC. I did the badges for 4x4/tanks/WH machineguns on that map. I wish Eucadia had a spot for a APC or an easier way to get the bots in position instead of having to chase them down.

 

I've gotten about 33 hours in so far and I'm a bit more confident I will get the Platinum.

If you want APC on Eucadia just make the biggest map. Do not forget that you must pick a map with the APC DLC symbol to have that vehicle. I think you didn't find out the spot i mentioned as there the bots spawn exactly in the same point, in fact i remember when i was doing tank kills i just had to press the shooting button over and over again as the bots were always all together in the same spot.
