Popular Post xFalionx
Alright, so I think I'm gonna go with six games for five days each now as I'd like to add Burly Men At Sea to my list and I don't feel like replacing anything. I don't think I'm getting another trophy today, so my completion at the start should be 65.01% (which is about 3% higher than my starting percentage of KYC 777, I'm recovering! ) 2064: Read Only Memories (PSVita) The Bridge (PSVita/PS3) Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines (PSVita) Port Royale 3 (PS3) Child of Light (PS3) Burly Men At Sea (PSVita) That's my list for now. If nothing major happens I should probably end up playing my games in this order. I'm always willing to switch them around some more in case @Kassandra or someone else decides to go with Burly Men At Sea and wants to play it in synch with me. So I'm probably going to play it as a bonus game in case I come up short somewhere, instead.
xFalionx
Wow, I just realized I was pretty lazy in keeping track of my backlog and I didn't add a couple of PSPlus games back then. Turns out I got Child of Light in my last month of PSPlus and must have thought the game wasn't crossbuy. I just had to switch out Master Reboot for this game as it's one I've been looking to play since I got my Vita in 2014. Now I'm really looking forward to November. @voodoo_eyes Just mentioning you, so you know I edited my list again. Sorry for the inconvenience. 1 hour ago, Kassandra said: I'll do Burly Men then too (HAH!) Just peeked at HowLongToBeat and Burly Men is short. As in, shamefully short for a KYC event. It's a slot where I'll have very little time to game and if I end up beating the game I'll probably just add a bonus game or go back to one of my previous games. Popular Post dizzyshadow
Missed the last one of these, but keen to join this time, i am currently away and therefore typing this on my phone so apologies for any typos. I had prepared a list but I've left it at home so will try and recreate it from memory but this may change when i get back home and remember what i actually planned. Im also going for a few games that ive preordered so if release dates change i may need to adjust it. But this is my draft list for now. 1. Steamworld Heist 2. Doom VFR 3. Moonlighter 4. Spyro 5. Gravel 6. The American Dream 7. Shadows Awakening 8. Moss 9. Spiderman 10. Asterix and Obelix XXL 2 I've gone VR heavy to encourage myself to actually try it out properly. Plus a number of newer releases i want to try and a game i can play on the vita as im not home until Saturday.

It could be that the gameplay had just gotten stale in the series; hence the reboot with Origins. BUT! I think the Jack the Ripper dlc is the best add-on in the series. Mm.. It's tough for me to say which one I liked more. Syndicate was a blast to play, I loved that grappling hook and its ability to shoot you to the top of a building in an instant, and the murder mystery missions were some of the best sidequests I've experienced in an Assassin's Creed game (I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff). But Unity was a lot of fun, and had a better story. But it also had all those chests... So I'd probably put Syndicate above it in the "fun" department. Lol. 4 hours ago, voodoo_eyes said: For those that were already potentially including Kiwami or Bulletstorm, you'll be pleased to hear that they are part of the list. What to do, what to do.. I guess I'll stick with Rogue Legacy, since I'd probably just be switching it out of fear (and @Dragon-Archon's status updates haven't been helping ). Can always play Bulletstorm at a later date. I've tried out Touhou Double Focus a couple of months ago, and deleted it almost immediately. I could not get used to how the dashing works in that game. It was too counter-intuitive, as it wants you to press in the opposite direction to where you want to dash to. Weirdest mechanic I've ever come across in a game. I'm probably going to try to go back to it and see if I can't make more progress through it at least. I've had very few games that I won't go back to so that I can at least give them a second shot (Luftrausers, Super Stardust HD). It's just getting back to them when something new and shiny has my attention. On the plus side, I've made a fair bit of backlog progress. If I hadn't started Dragon Quest XI and Monster Hunter: World, I would actually have had my unearned trophies down below pre-KYC 6 levels.
Popular Post Metal Slime King
Trick or Treat Game #0 - NeverDead () - PS3 NeverDead is a 3rd person shooter / hack em up released a while back by Konami (they released something that wasn't pachinko or milking old IP?! I was surprised too!) that I believe was critically panned but I had a lot of fun with it. You play an "unkillable" demon hunter tracking down the demon king who cursed you 500 years ago. When you are damaged you lose body parts until you are just a head rolling around. You can collect your parts or regenerate them with time. Although technically immortal if your head is captured by the otherwise harmless little vacuum enemies or if your human partner dies that counts as a fail and you'll have to restart at the last checkpoint. The checkpoints are pretty fair though and I didn't think the game was that hard even if there are a couple of tricky parts. Regarding combat, you switch between dual welding a variety of collectible firearms with L1 and R1 and thrashing around your sword by holding L1 and waggling the R stick around. It seemed rather unique and was fun and worked quite well. Character progression is interesting and useful. XP earned from enemies and collectibles can be spent on stats and abilities that can be equipped to a limited number of slots on your character so you can tailor your character to your play-style or circumstance. The MP consists of 13 missions of varying types that include both cooperative and competitive. I'm not big on MP in general but I had fun with it, particularly the cooperative modes. I boosted it with fellow NeverDead-heads @Bullstomp and @BeautifulTorment and things went smoothly for the most part. The civilian rescue missions were the hardest because the civilians are totally useless and seem to want to be gobbled up by demons. Even the hardest of those didn't take more than maybe five attempts. Thanks again guys for the good runs! The graphics were good and the camera was OK, I didn't have any issues with it. The music was great, while it never really blew me away at any part it was upbeat and rockin' and kept everything moving along. The story seemed to be a big fault for critics, I thought it was campy fun. At times it felt like your characters limbs were held together by snot and chewing gum, he has a habit of falling apart at the slightest provocation. Going for the plat was a bit of a grind because the final unlockable ability costs 10,000,000 XP which would require like 5 full playthroughs or you could replay a chapter from the campaign ad nauseam. Thankfully there's a bit of a glitch where you can kill the boss of the first level then quickly "Restart from last checkpoint" before the level ends and kill the boss over and over again for 48K each time and with the grenade launcher and shotgun equipped you can take him out in about 30 seconds but even then that last ability could take a couple of hours. In the end those are fairly minor quibbles and I'm left a little confused why this game never got a better reception. I certainly would be interested in any feedback from anyone who's played it.
Popular Post dmland12
Alright, here's my final ordered list: 1) Crypt of the Necrodancer 2) 2064: Read Only Memories 3) Everspace 4) Pyre 5) Cities: Skylines 6) Way of the Passive Fist 7) Crawl 8) Knack 9) Yakuza Kiwami 10) Monster Slayers One interesting thing about this list: I've got a chance to pick up 5 platinums for games starting with letters I don't have (#,C,K,W,Y) for that whole "have a platinum for every letter plus one that starts with a number thing." Right now I'm missing 7, so if I can get those 5 sometime after the event, I'll just be missing V and X. I know I talked with someone last year in KYC 4 about that (I think it was when I was playing Quest of Dungeons) and how I was missing too many letters to go for it or worry about it. I guess I am getting close enough now to go for it.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #1 - Yomawari: Night Alone - Preview Well, it's past midnight for me, so I'll post a preview for the 1st game. This is a horror game, and I love myself some horror games (and movies). Especially, if they're of Asian origin. So I'm quite looking forward to this one. I've stumbled upon this game quite a while back, when it only had a Japanese release. Back then I hoped it would eventually find it's way to the west, and so it did. I've tried to keep myself spoiler free and only glanced at a few minutes of gameplay. From what I saw it reminded me a bit of Corpse Party: Blood Drive (which I was not a fan of by the way). My issue with that game was, that the constant interruption of the VN aspect completely messed up the pacing and any immersion of that game. As far as I know Yomawari Night Alone.doesn't have VN elements, so I'm hoping that won't be the case here. All I know, is that it's a sort of top-down view and that you control a girl while exploring a town at night. I'm quite excited to finally give this one a try..

My current percentage is 95.57% so I didn't choose any PSN-315 games. That way my completion will take decent dent. Popular Post Oobedoob S Benubi
Well, I played some more Hitman last night and got a few trophies. Here are my starting stats. Starting stats: Completion percentage: 51,48% (the highest it's been in quite a few KYC events) Trophies won: 7.472 Unearned trophies: 5.666 Games played: 380 Expectations: Hitman 2 Excited for this. And it will definitely kill my completion percentage as I just found out that they've included all of the first game's trophies for the remastered levels. 2064: Read Only Memories Will start playing this today, in sync with @xFalionx. Interested to see if I'll enjoy it. Broforce Probably the game on my list with the highest risk of being dumped an hour or two in. I'm not sure about this one, just playing it because I can play as Ash. Valley, SOMA Both are games I bought a while ago and I've put them on my list because I feel guilty for still not having played them. Wayward Sky I'll probably enjoy this little puzzle game a lot. Robinson: The Journey I really, really hope I don't get VR sickness from this one. Esper Bought it, forgot all about it. Excited to play it though. SUPERHOT VR Well, you know my opinion on the non-VR version from the previous KYC event. I'll probably enjoy this one too. Tethered Could go either way, but I feel positive about this one. Burly Men At Sea Not sure yet how to count this one as supposedly you can get the platinum in an hour or two. I'll probably play it as a bonus game at some point, or perhaps I'll just wait for December. Have fun with all your games, everyone! Can't wait to read all the reviews! As said previously, I'm playing ten games, five of which are VR, and I'll play VR and non-VR next to each other so I won't have to only do VR games. That gives me five six-day sets of two games each. I've chosen 2064 as the non-VR game in the first set, playing with @xFalionx, and I'll very likely choose some short games for set 2 (days 7-12) so I can have them finished come November 9, which is when I get Hitman 2 - so I can make set 3 one that lasts ten days (days 9-18) instead of six, so I can spend more time on Hitman 2. Other than that, I'll be a good boy this time (promise, @voodoo_eyes!) and actually stick to the set planning, so if I'm done early in a set I'll just do more in the set's games or I'll play something on Switch, or some more Hitman 1.
