ProfBambam55 Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) yoz, for any who don't feel like grinding for cash here's a method that nets basically unlimited gold bars...you can only carry 30 at once but that's $15 000 per trip to the fence (pretty quick to go to the one in rhodes) ...upgrade your camp early...get rid of bounties...buy your weapon upgrades...donate to the tithing box for honour...etc...only question is : how long before it gets patched?...haha...enjoy... I’ll skip this but I’m sure some people will find it useful. truth be told, I play a couple of hours a day...i'm finding the beginning slow...really slow...i was doing the billy midnight quest...got off my horse, jumped on the train, killed him, picked up his gun...while I was doing this, I get a notification that my horse (who was tied up at the train station) has randomly died...no idea how or why...i rob another horse and head back to pick up my saddle...i ride to a stable to buy a new horse only to find out that they don't even sell horses...ride across the map again...finally replace my old horse but couldn't afford the same upgrades (stirrups not even available)...save game, call it a night...load up the following day only to find that billy's pistol is gone from my weapons...total buzzkill... point being, i'm feeling not much like an outlaw at all at this point as 95% of gameplay has been riding my horse spamming l1 to study various things...add in a weapon disappearing and horse randomly dying "glitch" and my immersion is just not there...i might even argue that being an outlaw penalizes you financially quite severely since the requirements for going undetected are a little too "real" imo (i.e. just equipping a bandana doesn't hide your identity) and even locks out a quest if you don't have high enough honour... yes, yes, it's supposed to be slow...it picks up...i get it...if your feeling like an outlaw, enjoying your experience so far, and happy to earn your cash legit, awesome...this thread is not for you then...i'm enjoying not having to worry or waste more time than necessary on cash for upgrades, bounties, items, etc. and maintaining a high honour level early on in the few hours I have available to play each day...this glitch takes like 10 minutes...perfect for time management to get me over the slow start hump... I also go ahead and drop money in the box to upgrade my honor. So i can say i have my enjoyment i paid for and that's ok. Salt_AU Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Defeats the purpose of actually playing the game considering most of the rewards in game are monetary and or weapons, etc. Here is a list of things that will become boring real fast and in turn make the game feel like a 'grind' by exploiting money. Robbing trains, banks, people, homesteads and stores. Looting corpses, chests, cupboards, etc. Hunting and selling skins, winning money in Blackjack, Poker, etc. The list goes on. All of those game features reward players with money in order to purchase items, horses, clothing, upgrade weapons, etc. That's the game loop. With zero reward incentive for taking part in pretty much all of the games features your enjoyment of the game will fade pretty quickly. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Deluziion90 Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Chapter 3: Fully upgraded my camp mid chapter Bought most of the guns I wanted Chapter 4 Found a random NPC I helped early in game and he bought my current outfit so no cash loss Spent about 1.5k in the box and 1 bar away from max honour and still 3k to spent What's the purpose of this money glitch it kills the purpose of the game.
