No you can't skin the turkeys. as mentioned earlier in the thread if you actually read it: The ring necked pheasant and Chinese ring necked pheasant are the only birds that can be skinned :)

This is wrong, a lot of birds can be skinned. Like the 3 loons. My trophy popped when I skinned the Rio turkey!

Just got both the animal trophies!

Helpful thing I found;

- I didn't need the Carolina Parakeet for the trophy to pop.

Theory; If you get the macaws/booby the counter thinks you're "ahead" of whats needed.

This might be a dumb question but whatever. It's about the Zoologist trophy. Do you actually need to study all 178 animals through your binoculars or does skinning them count as if you've studied them? I mean, sometimes it's freaking hard to study an animal because they move faster than the speed of light...

I have these left

  Reveal hidden contents

Farm animals:
Hereford bull
Bloodhound dog

Wild:
Neotropic
California Horned Owl
Great horned owl
Carolina Parakeet
Rio grande wild turkey
Timber Wolf (study)

All tips appreciated

The rio turkey is native to New Austin which is an area you can go to once you beat the story. It's basically a desert so it's easy to find once you get there.

You've got to study them, skinning them doesn't count.

Managed to get Skin Deep and Zoologist now. I have video footage of all animals and will upload them soon.

That will be greatly appreciated. I've been holding off on the 2 study/skin trophies in wait for a video or picture guide. Do you show location on the map aswell? Plz post here when video is uploaded =>

I've been studying all animals i have come across during story and stranger missions but i'm only at 55 studied animals so far and 32 skinned =(

To sum up :

ZOOLOGIST (study 178 different animals) :

  • Need to study every animals (execpt guarma + legendary)
  • Don't need to achieve 100% for every animals

SKIN DEEP (skin 76 different animal species) :

  • Need to skin every land animal (+ some birds)
  • Don't need to kill/skin animals that don't list skinning as an option
  • Animals that are plucked or collected aren’t needed
  • Birds that can be skinned = Ring necked pheasant + Chinese ring necked pheasant + 3 loons (Anything else?)

Am I missing something ? Something false?

How did you study panthers lmfao, everytime i find one they just jump straight at me :(

Lol took an hour for me to get both panthers, one was killed (no study) and the second was studied (no kill). Died like 10x against those... You need to stand a far and random sweep the trees (forest is dense as hell here) and pray you see it

I am starting to upload a video location of all the animals on my channel.

And Yes I show the location on the map at the start of every video. Most spawns arent guaranteed at all but it should help those who are searching.

I have about 25 videos up so far. Working on the rest now. Here's the playlist:
