I think it works out nicely for everyone. Gamers get to try the game for free, Bungie gets to rake in some cash from Forsaken/expansions from the people who decide to stick around. Destiny 2 was free in September for PS+ ... considering the game is online only and you basically need PS+ to enjoy it, it's more or less the same thing. Kittet3 Posted November 3, 2018 Share Posted November 3, 2018 Probably because on PS4 they would almost have to offer free online play with it and Playstation only allows for F2P games or free weekends. They also offered it on plus already, so it wouldn't make sense to give it out as a bonus plus game again. I also find it interesting that they'd do this right around the release date of Warframe's Fortuna update.
