Date a Live Rio Reincarnation coming West for PS4 in summer 2019

Recommended Posts

Idea Factory International will release Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation for PlayStation 4 both physically and digitally, and for PC via Steam in North America and Europe in summer 2019, the publisher announced. It will feature Japanese voice-overs with English subtitles (plus Traditional Chinese subtitles on PC).

According to Idea Factory International, “Two CG scenes were modified for the PS4 release (FU Sony:spank:)
while the Steam version will remain unedited. Please note that the gameplay for both games has not changed from the Japanese version.”

First released for PlayStation 4 in Japan in October 2017, Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation is a collection that includes three visual novels: Date A Live: Rinne Utopia, Date A Live: Arusu Install, and Date A Live Twin Edition: Rio Reincarnation. The former two were released for PlayStation 3 in Japan, while the latter was released for PS Vita. It also includes the drama CDs (featuring 17 songs) and special books (with thumbnail mode page skip and zoom features) originally included as bonuses for each game, which are accessible in-game.

Speaking to NoisyPixel, Idea Factory International confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of the western release will feature changes to event scenes and the removal of illustrations that show characters in suggestive positions. (FU again Sony:spank:)

The PC version will feature all of the events scenes unaltered.

Here is an overview about the story:

I am so happy that we are finally getting Date A Live game in the west but I am super pissed at Idea Factory for taking such a long god damn time because out of all the times to release it, they decided now is good time to release during Sony's fucking censorship spree.

Yes, checked it on google as well and I could be wrong. Sorry for getting your hopes up @HuntingFever

Nuts, thanks anyway :(. I'm seriously considering getting a decent gaming PC in the new year so I can play all these games uncensored, because I'm fast getting sick and tired of Sony's BS regarding this matter.

Date A Live might be one of those few harem anime I don't despise. Hearing that this PS4 game was on the way proved exciting until Sony had to get their soy-based hands on it and provide censorship-- When will this madness ever end?

Considering tumblr just announced it's banning adult content, no. It's only effecting other platforms.

I recon next year we'll see even more crackdowns.
