If you do both you get a message (with capital letters I think) "Stationary Weapon Destroyed". Only then, it counts for the trophy. I have managed several times to kill the person sitting but only do 50-60 damage to the stationary weapon itself, and this does not count for the trophy. Fly from one side to the other, if they shooting on you just fly over and points down the nose at them. Once the 2 circle is on AA, just release all 4 bombs.. I have to say that it’s not that hard once you’ve upgraded the bomber.. like everyone said, just upgrade... Here’s a few tips for how on upgrading the bomber. The best bomber to use is the axis JU-88 A. Take the following specialisations: 50KG bombs Field Repair Dive Brakes 1000KG bombs. The 50kg bombs are insanely good for multikills in bombing runs, so it will help you level up your bomber fast. Whilst levelling up to the 1000KG bombs, just focus on hitting as many enemies as you can, and attempt to pick off stationary weapons if you happen across any in use.. Once you get the 1000KG bombs, then ONLY focus on the stationary weapons.. The last thing you want is to use your bombs on infantry, then when you suddenly start receiving flak; you have no bombs.. Fly at a high altitude and circle the map.. when you spot a stationary weapon, start diving, get it in line and drop your 1000kg bomb, then immediately press to switch to the 50kg bombs and spam the fire button. This is how I got all my kills, even an indirect hit with a 1000kg bomb, followed by 32 of the 50kg ones is enough to fully destroy an undamaged AA gun. But persistence is key. Because there are more planes available on that map, people are more likely to get annoyed with planes; at which point they hop into an AA gun. I've spent many hours learning how to fly and upgrading the planes, but once i got the 1000 kg bombs it became so much easier. My advice is: keep trying, i didn't believe i could get this trophy, but here we are. Thanks to everyone that put tips on this topic. steel6burgh Posted November 27, 2018 Share Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) So a little bit ago i got my 1st stationary weapon destroyed after upgrading the bombs for the allied to 500lb bombs. Soon after I got my 1st stationary weapon destroyed pop up after dropping bombs on a stationary weapon that was firing on me. While doing this I got a quadruple kill. A few matches later going for the same point from the same spawn I got another stationary weapon and a multi kill and the trophy popped. now i realize the trophy description says destroy 5 AA guns, however, I think as long as you destroy a stationary weapon all the kills you get at that instance count toward the death from above total of 5. I'm quite positive I never had a stationary weapon destroyed before those two tonight. This was my method...on fjell 652 i spawned in as allied and equipped the 500 lb bombs. on point b you an actually see the aa gun as a little black figure on the deployment map. I noticed it moving around. Therefore i knew someone was on it before i spawned in. I nose dived straight at him taking flak the whole time and let loose of the bombs and crashed right next to him as well. Twice in just a few matches I got the stationary weapon destroyed and the trophy popped. Before upgrading the bombs to 500 all i ever got was stationary weapon damaged. Hope this helps. I cant figure out how to get a plane with bombs. I thought pressing triangle was supposed to switch weapons but all my planes only have a machine gun. Ive been on both sides and had several planes. But each time its the small plane with a machine gun. 2. Is there some way to select a different plane? Maybe that is my issue? 3. Do I really need to level up the default plane to 8? If so how did you guys do it so fast? Ive been on 5 hours now and not even leveled it once. Masietown Posted December 3, 2018 Share Posted December 3, 2018 My friend and I ended up figuring out the best place to boost for this trophy for us. Once you get on a server on separate teams (this was a pain, but is doable with coordination), load up Twisted Steel. This map has stationary turrets tied to vehicles that respawn once they are killed. I got my friend to drive the turret to a location in his starting base that very few others would travel to (the twisted road on the top right of the map if you’re playing as the Germans). He would then damage the turret and jump in. From there it was a matter of using the small bomber (only one available on this map) and diving down quite close to the turret while dropping the bombs. Once it dies, we just kept repeating it. Since the turret was in a low traffic area, if I killed him and didn’t kill the turret, he could easily just run back to it and there wasn’t any risk of being attacked by the enemy team. Yesterday I managed to destroy two in my first match going specifically for the trophy, then on the second match, there was this mf that was super good with the Spitfire and he killed me everytime I spawned. ? I was super mad with that so I continued today, and today I managed to destroy 6 in one match so yeah it was a breeze to get the trophy. My recommendations are: Play on Arras on the German side and use the JU-88 Bomber. The stationary weapon that I destroyed was the one in the enemy base and I used the 250 kg and 5 kg bombs (No need to have the 1000 kg bombs). Go in a straight line eighter from A to the enemy base or from F to the enemy base and drop all your bombs. Once you manage to see where the stationary weapon is and destroy it for the first time the rest is super easy. The only annoying part of the trophy in my experience was when other planes attack you, the rest is easy. Best of luck to everyone! Edit: Once you start a game as the Germans on Arras, immediately redeploy and get into the bomber, go to the enemy base and drop the 250 kg bombs and the 5 kg bombs, I got 10 kills lol everyone is running from the starting point. After that just keep dropping bombs on the enemy base and you will get the trophy eventually. No need to boost or anything for this trophy, just play and have fun! All we did is filter the servers to have 10+ slots open and got in a dead European lobby, took 15 minutes once we properly got on opposite teams.
