Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Welcome again to the annual PSNP Awards First off, I would like to thank Dwayne Johnson for taking time out of his busy schedule to make a small cameo at this years awards. See Geoff Keighley, I can get big name actors as well Anyways, this is that wonderful time of the year where we celebrate (or condemn) the plats we earned this year. If you are new to the awards you can check out the previous years below but basically give awards to games or plats that you think deserve the following awards. These aren't necessarily games that came out this year but are games that you played and platted this year. So please participate and remember that any game you plat before December 31, 2018 count towards these awards. 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 Always a fun award. What plat did you get while barely even looking at a Trophy Guide? What VN did you play for the "story" while secretly stacking up some easy trophies? With Tell Tale Games going out of business which of their games did you quickly plat before it became cool to hate them? M@TH#RF@CK!NG STUPID NO GOOD TROPHY! I WILL HUNT DOWN THE DEVELOPER OF THIS PIECE OF SH!T GAME AND GO TO TOWN ON THEIR LOVED ONES...WHY ARE YOU SO DIFFIC...oh sorry I didn't know you were there...well what game this year has made you go on a tirade similar to this? Remember it can't just be the hardest trophy you went for...you had to have actually earned the plat as well. This isn't necessarily about getting a platinum...this is just what game or moment made you think "I am a total Bad Ass " Was it finishing a particularly hard section of a game? Thinking outside the box that ended up in something amazing happening? Being the one person to end a huge Kill Streak? Tell us in your answers below. UGH This is always one of the shittiest trophies to relive. Did you finish the Battle Trophies in Star Ocean 4? Did you get Kung Fu is Stronger in MK9? Did you plat Final Fantasy 14? Relive your most tedious moments so the rest of us know what game to avoid. A part of gaming is going Online and meeting other people. What game gave you most the fun while hanging out on the interwebs? And the opposite. What game was the biggest loser online? Maybe crashing all the time? Terrible online trophy requirements? Closing or Dead servers forcing you to work extra hard to earn those trophies? What game did you plat that made you think "everyone needs to play this" I am not talking about Red Dead Redemption or God of War...this has to be a game that people haven't really heard of or you think more people need to check out. What game did you get on sale this year and turned out to be amazing. This (as usual) is the opposite of the last award. What big budget AAA game made you think "fuck that sucked' What overhyped piece of garbage made you regret ever watching E3 or that inferior award show the VGAs What developer really put some effort into what their Plat Image looked like? There are some games that I have personally platted because I really liked what the Plat Image looked like. What game makes you proud to put that image in your PSNP Trophy Checklist? OK first off you are awesome if you know where this image came from without googling it Second what game made you think "what the fuck, that is a lazy ugly plat image. I put all this work into platting your game and in the end you gave me the generic image as my reward" (looking at you Reality Fighters and The Walking Dead) What was your favourite female character you played as this year? And in the same vein what was your favourite Male character you played as this year? What was the best plat you earned this year? Remember this isn't your favourite game (necessarily) but it was the most fun from the first trophy to the last. And as always...the most fun trophy to write about. It is so much fun to shit all over a game that gave you so much frustration. What game made you just want to quit trophy hunting entirely. What game gave you the most ranting sessions in the Status Updates. What game made you go around down voting every Youtube video you could find that featured that game? And finally So what are you looking forward to playing next year? Come on get us all hyped with what makes you excited.
BG_painter
Hey Doc! That is very cool But let me see if I understand this well, I need to choose all these awards from the trophy lists of the plats I got this year, and then post my awards here, is that it?

Thanks Yup, if you look back at the other years it will help show it off but everyone posts whatever games they platted they think will fit the awards and give a little write up (if they like) as to why they think it deserves that award. It is just a fun way for us all to showcase our good and bad plats this year and it makes for a fun read
JohnCenaSong-
If anyone says anything other than Fallout 76 for "Biggest Bomb" I'll be quite surprised. It's become the cool trendy thing to hate on currently (justifiably so, though)

Cassylvania
Sounds like fun. I guess I should wait until the end of December, but let's see where we stand right now... Piece of Cake Award: Burly Men at Sea. I did this game before it was cool (free), but it's extremely easy to platinum, even without a guide. It's Like Dark Souls: Dark Souls: Remastered. Well, it IS Dark Souls. Bad Ass Award: Batman: Arkham Knight. I summoned GODLIKE powers one weekend in April and knocked out every annoying DLC trophy in that game, despite not having played the game for months. For that brief period of time, I WAS the Bat. Grind of the Year: Resident Evil Revelations. This is the game that almost made me quit gaming. As bad as the KH:CoM grind has been, nothing compares to that fuckin' Raid Mode. King of the Internet: Resident Evil Revelations. Don't let it go to your head, RER. You were the ONLY online game I played this year. But I met some cool peeps, so I guess that was fun...? Worst Online Experience: Resident Evil Revelations. Well, you win by default again. Congrats for being an annoying slogfest that requires you to play the same stages over and over again, when they're all literally just re-skins of the main campaign. A part of me died this year, and you are to blame. Sleeper Hit of the Year: Wow, so many choices. Celeste, Pyre, Blackwood Crossing, A Hat in Time, Yomawari: Midnight Shadows... I don't think I could give it to any one of those games, so we'll have a five-way tie! Biggest Bomb of the Year: You know, I didn't play a lot of AAA titles this year, and I loved the ones I did... I'm just going to give it to The Swords of Ditto, which was obviously inspired by A Link to the Past, and failed MISERABLY to live up to that. Best Trophy Image: Going to have to be another five-way tie between Valkyria Chronicles 4, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Kingdom Hearts, God Wars: Future Past, and Spyro the Dragon. Worst Trophy Image: You know, for such a beautiful game, A Hat in Time has some ugly trophy images. I'm not even sure what the plat is supposed to be. Best Female Character: Hard not to give it to my girl Shantae, but Hat Kid from A Hat in Time was adorable, and she has a vocabulary barely bigger than Link's. Best Male Character: Oh, man. I loved Barry from Resident Evil Revelations 2. Dude has to be my favorite RE character at this point. Best Plat of the Year: Celeste. Loved SO many games this year, but the grind at the end ruins a lot of them. Not so with Celeste. There's a built-in Assist Mode that basically makes every stage trivial, so you'll never be stuck pulling your hair. Still, you'll obviously want to refrain from using that during your first playthrough, as this game is too great to be rushed. Wurst Plat ov teh Yeer: Fill-a-Pix: Phil's Epic Adventure. This game is so bad that I actually put it ahead of RER, the game that almost made me quit gaming. Think about that. Most Anticipated Plat of 2019: The Witcher 3. Should be fun. Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
@Dr_Mayus Can't wait to see what you come up with this year! These are always a good read from everyone. I'm not planning on really starting anything new for the rest of the year, so I'll go ahead and give you mine! Spoiler Job Simulator. This is a dorky game where you pretty much get all the trophies doing random $h!+. My cousin and I played the game and messed around with all of the different jobs to take on.... and now it's my fastest platinum. Lots of fun and little effort. My type of platinum! Spoiler I don't really have any Dark Souls-like platinums this year (really didn't have the time and energy for it), but if I had to choose one I would say Crash Bandicoot: Warped. I'm not going to lie, I had to have my brother do a lot of the trials because I suck at platformers partially due to my time away from crash games and partially due to my bad eyesight where I think it's a shadow and it's actually a giant gaping fucking hole.... Ugh. Spoiler Okay, I don't know if this is just badass or funny, but a couple of weeks ago while playing Eagle's Flight, I decided to play the original "Star Wolf Theme" from Star Fox 64 while chasing down and shooting vultures out of the sky. The song matched up with what I was doing so perfectly, it's not even funny (actually it was fucking hilarious, I wish I would have gotten it on video). Not to mention, I got 3 stars (highest score) while the music was going! Spoiler Funny. The worst grind of the year was from my biggest bomb last year. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (in my ass). I completed all of the side ops mission and I still question myself why I even wasted the effort. It was so mindless and boring that I almost decided not to do it at all since I didn't enjoy the game enough to earn the platinum. I wish I could name it biggest bomb of the year again, but there's another game I played this year that deserves a certain spot in hell... Spoiler I'll give this to Rigs: Mechanical Combat hands down. I've met so many friends and have had so much fun playing with them that I might just keep this game on my PS4 FOR FUN! Whoa, you don't see that many hunters doing that very often. Worst Online Experience - N/A. Can't say I really had one... Spoiler If you are looking for a REAL sleeper, then look not further. It's Reverie. The game plays like an old-school classic, over-the-top Legend of Zelda game and the 6 hours I put into it was totally worth the 5-6 bucks I payed for it. I'm not a guy who tends to play a lot of indie games, but I thought I'd give this one a shot and absolutely loved it. It you want a classic nintendo game on the PS4 this is your game. If you are a 90s kid like I am, you'll love it. It has a few goofy glitches, but nothing that affects the gameplay. Spoiler Spelunker HD. Spelunker HD. SPELUNKER HD!!!! I think I would put this in my top 5 worst games I've ever played. Period. I would have put it in the category for "It's like Dark Souls", but that requires you to get the platinum... HA! I can't even finish the stupid game. You fall from a 2-foot ledge, you die. You stub your toe, you die. You try and do something couragous, you die. You breathe, you die. You, get pooped on by a bird, you FUCKING DIE! Fuck this game and fuck the people who made it for wasting my time on this garbage. I know some classic gamers like it for this exact reason, but I didn't play a video game to get frustrated and angry 99% of the time. No point in that at all. Spoiler Uncharted Lost Legacy This is literally one of the coolest platinum images I've seen in a while. The color and design of it is just so cool that I wish I could get this shit stitched into a quilt and use it as a blanket. Spoiler It's so bad that I don't even have to tell you the name of the game! I've seen worse, but damn, could they not be a little more creative with this one? Spoiler 2B - Nier Automata - She has to be one of the more interesting characters I've played this year. Chloe Frazier from Uncharted: Lost Legacy was a close second, but 2B gets the trophy here. Her design, badass-ness, and her personality are just so cool and interesting. I've only put in 15 hours into this game, and I can tell that even though she's "just a robot/android." that she has the emotions of a human. I also love to see characters grow through a story (it makes it more believable to me), and she has changed quite a bit as I've played. She went from cold, and apathetic to a strong-willed character. Now, I just need to get Soul Caliber 6 to play as her again! Spoiler I'm a little biased here since I've played with him in other games before and I liked him, but I'm rolling with... Sig from Jak X: Combat Racing. You gotta love the wise-cracking, friendly, lovable wastelander, right? Spoiler That's right! Tekken 7! I've loved Tekken for a long time so it should not be a surprise that I'd put this at the top of my list. Granted, there wasn't a whole lot of competition, but hey, it is what it is. I love fighting games, and I loved how Tekken 7 felt like a "fresh" start to the series for me with the rage mode and new special moves. I even picked up a new main character to play as and plan to come back and play some more of this game sometime in the future. Can't ever have enough Tekken in your life! Spoiler This again! NOOOO! I was so bored playing this game by myself, with random people, with friends, and with random people that became my friend. Grinding to level 50 was a chore, and playing through the game by myself for the most part on my account instead of as a co-op partner with my brother nearly put me to sleep. Really wish they would've added something new to this game other than the ability to die from suffocation and moon-jumping/stomping. Yawn. Spoiler So many options here it not funny. Do I go for my first <1% platinum in Rigs: MCL or maybe a game from the Spyro series? Nope. I'm rolling with.... Nier Automata. I've put in 16 hours or so and this game just keeps getting more mysterious and more fun the more I play it. I'm thinking about saving this for #75 so I have it as a milestone. This was definitely the best game I've played all year! Edited December 2, 2018 by Beyondthegrave07
Avatar_Of_Battle
Piece of Cake Award: Kingdom Hearts. Thanks PS4 remaster for not having to do every gummi ship mission. It's Like Dark Souls: The closest thing for this is Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and that's only because the climbing was shit and reared it's ugly ass head on Deadly Obsession more. Bad Ass Award: Although I've done it before, I'm giving this one to Master of the North Atlantic for sinking Storm Fortress in Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered. Grind of the Year: Allow me a Kanye moment. *ahem* I know this doesn't count, but DanceDanceRevolution had the grindiest trophy of all 2018. (That trophy being Trick Master) King of the Internet: N/A. F.E.A.R. 3 has only 1 online trophy and it's the only one I did this year...and it was like 20 minutes without issues and my co op partner had to do more than I did. Sorry @Conker . Worst Online Experience: ^See King of the Internet Sleeper Hit of the Year: Didn't play anything this year that isn't relatively well known. Biggest Bomb of the Year: Don't have any AAA I'd put here. Arcania was my biggest bomb though. Best Trophy Image: Best platinum image I've gotten this year is a tie between these 2. or Worst Trophy Image: I have the usual lazy ass trophy image or the dumb check mark for HZD, but I really just don't like how blurry this image is. Best Female: Lara Croft. Aloy is a close second. Kassandra would be a very distant third. Best Male: Shay Patrick Cormac...really my only choice I think lol. Best Plat of the Year: Dragon Age: Inquisition. Aside from the fact that I have a permanent trophy picture of man ass and 1 trophy was bothersome this game was a blast to play and plat. Worst Plat of the Year: Arcania. Most Anticipated Plat of 2019: Kingdom Hearts III. Edited December 2, 2018 by Avatar_Of_Battle
Popular Post eigen-space
Piece of Cake Award Burly Men at Sea - I think the fact that this is my fastest platinum says it all. Even though it was short and simple, it was very charming. It's Like Dark Souls Alice: Madness Returns - Maybe it's just that I haven't played many games that are like this, but I found it extremely challenging, particularly the DLC as it had very buggy controls. Bad Ass Award Yomawari: Night Alone - As much as I would like to attribute my nearly 2-year gap in platinuming this game to having a corrupted memory card (which is true! I did lose my save), it was more because I just sucked at this game when I started it at the end of 2016. When I picked it back up for the PSNP Spelling Bee event, I found that I could play it with relative ease. Knowing that my skills as a gamer have evolved so much makes me feel like a Bad Ass. Grind of the Year Final Fantasy IX - That Bloodlust trophy took forever. I know a lot of people use the rubberband trick to acquire this trophy, but I did it all manually... what a pain. King of the Internet Final Fantasy XV Comrades DLC - Even though I was only able to play this DLC with real players a small handful of times, it was really fun to see how much easier the game could have been if I played with other people regularly. I may even try out the full version when it's released despite my dislike of online MP. Worst Online Experience Final Fantasy XV Comrades DLC - This is by default since I didn't play anything else with an online component, but... One of my major qualms with anything online is that the servers can go away at any time, leaving you with an incomplete game... just so happens that that this announcement gave very little notice to players to finish up their games (and not giving a very clear answer on the fate of the trophies). I don't like feeling rushed to complete games. Sleeper Hit of the Year N.E.R.O. - This game was masterful with its storytelling, had breathtaking art, and provided a very emotional journey. I definitely cried. I also have to give shout outs to several non-platinum games: Song of the Deep (very fun, engaging puzzles, beautiful art, and the best soundtrack I've heard all year), Hatoful Boyfriend (seriously... you won't truly understand until you play it), and Valiant Hearts (yet another that had amazing storytelling and unique art). Biggest Bomb of the Year Syberia 3 - I had high hopes for this game as I was hoping for a game play improvement on the original 2 Syberia games as well as a continuation of the fantastic story they had told so far. I mean, I would almost expect that a game actually developed for the PS4 would be much better than what was essentially a bad port of an old PC game. Well, I shouldn't have expected anything as this game was a buggy mess. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to complete it due to all the glitches and game crashes. Additionally, some of the storytelling charm had disappeared as well... Kate Walker just didn't seem as compelling as she had in the past. Best Trophy Image I'm going to have to go with N.E.R.O.'s trophy art. The trophy images are just as beautiful as the artwork within the game. Spoiler Worst Trophy Image Romancing SaGa 2 - Not only does the list only have 1 trophy image with different colors depending on what level of trophy it is, but you also can't really tell what it's a picture of because there's almost no contrast. Spoiler Best Female Character This goes to Laura S. Arseid from The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 2. I already knew how much of a bad ass she was from the first game, but she continued to reveal different layers of her personality during the second game as well. I also have a love of beautiful girls that can masterfully wield large swords. Best Male Character I'm going with Jinas from Shining Resonance Refrain. He was such an interesting character and was super fun to use in battle. Also, he was pretty enough that he could pass for a beautiful girl that masterfully wields a large sword. Best Plat of the Year Cat Quest - I honestly can't recommend this game enough. It's one of those games where you go in not expecting much but end up having such a good time. It is very basic in its game play, but it manages to keep adding small layers here and there to keep it feeling fresh and not repetitive. The developers also knew exactly how much content to put in so that it remained engaging throughout, yet not long enough that you got bored with it. The trophies also manage to do what many games can't seem to do with their trophy lists-- you're required to do everything important in the game in order to get the platinum. I really appreciate trophy lists that manage to do this while still remaining fun the entire time (last game I played that had a good trophy list like this was Tales of Berseria). This game is 100% charming and worth picking up whenever you get the chance. Wurst Plat ov teh Yeer Little Dragons Cafe - I was REALLY looking forward to this game. It looked like a lite version of the Atelier games and was released by one of my favorite publishers... plus, the art was cute and it has baby dragons! And I REALLY wanted to like it. However, from a trophy hunter standpoint, I freaking hate this game. I could get past the repetitiveness, I could get past the mediocre NPC storylines... but what I can't get past is grinding for weeks to get one final trophy (which I will get before the end of the year... I hope) while not knowing if what I'm doing is actually the trigger for getting the trophy. No one knows for sure... and the devs/publisher will only give extremely vague response to tweets, messages, etc. Most Anticipated Plat of 2019 Tales of Vesperia - I'm Tales deprived at the moment and am very much looking forward to what many people regard as the best Tales title. I haven't had the opportunity to play it before. Edited December 2, 2018 by eigen-space

OK you guys bring up good points. I mean if a game is terrible why would you finish it (unless your user name is Dr_Mayus then you finish all the shitty games). I can't edit the main post because I am still getting that stupid CAPTCHA thing that prevented this thread from being posted originally but for Biggest Bomb you DON"T have to plat the game this year (just played it). Also it looks like Burly Men at Sea might be the Mayo game of this year Can't say for sure but it might make an appearance on my list as well. @Cassylvania those are some nice plat images for sure. I am really liking the Spyro ones and since Insomniac games usually have shitty plat images it is nice to see a good one for once . Also I really need to play Hat in Time I hear nothing but great things about it. @Beyondthegrave07 Thanks I always look forward to Dec 1 as this is one of my favourite threads. Also nice work on the Badass Award that is the type of shit I am talking about. @eigen-space ugh, FF9 might be on my list as well if I can finish that jump rope trophy. I almost missed my kill trophy as I was listening to podcasts while running around on the snow field and luckily I looked up as it popped. What a stupid trophy.
Popular Post Evil_Joker88
I'm going for one of the easy but good games: Telltale's Batman and Batman: Enemy Within... Why does he win? He's BATMAN of course jokes aside, they're a big surprise even though i knew some Batman movies, those games tell a different story and a friendship-rivalry related to some important Batman Enemies... was quite a laugh when the "Penguin" took over Wayne Enterprises with words not weapons ... This is a tough battle between Trine 2 PS4 and Bloodborne but i'll go with the second one. Just because Trine 2 was easy to playthrough once. I hardly felt that way in Bloodborne... Only when i reached a high hero level (140+) and joined a friend to beat a few (dlc) bosses it became a little bit easier... oh and speaking about the DLC: that is another reason to say Bloodborne deserves this spot... playing NG+ for three weapons was much easier than beating the 5 DLC Bosses for which i needed online assisstance in every case ? This made me think about the longest but i say it's beating the final hidden Boss in Bloodborne... beating the final boss didn't feel so amazing but seeing the hidden boss was "? i have to fight THAAT? With 2 health potions?! ?" ... i died of course after a min but with 20 health potions and a bit luck i got him in the end Again choosing between two titles but here i name Bleach Soul Resurección which is an amazing adaption from the Anime i love but boy why?? 19 characters have to reach lx max (175) and you have to finish all sidemissions (28) with each character!! So basically i played sidemission 7 for dozens of hours until my characters were nerly max and then i rushed through every other sidemission ... oh and i played 3 times the story mode (easy, hard, very hard) and three times all sidemissions with Ichigo (main hero) on easy, hard and very hard... still not the worst experience, maybe plat time around 100 hours... but boring... Again Bloodborne while i played some other games online (most coop too) this is the one i had the most fun with brutal it is but having a friend besides you who struggles as well and beating every two times close after each other (once his world, once mine) felt sooo good ... and i was glad to hear often "Yikes! That's gross!!" so i didn't feel alone that way This goes to Killzone 2 which i played shortly before the server would shutdown and oh boy what a grind but even online luckily i found 3 boosting partners and got a week off work to grind up to 10 hours each night(!) to play with my american friends (i'm European ^^)... i was happy i had to turbo controllers for this... punching hours upon hours an enemy i tiresome on your own ... worst thing though i reached 140k points in a week while 20k would have sufficed for Valor Grand Cross... that made me think how stupid i was boosting all the hours... Not sure if that game still counts as a sleeper hit but my vote goes to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice the self acclaimed AAA indie game ... it looks amazing! Story was amazing, i really felt inside Senua's head hearing her voices... and the balance between exploring + solving puzzles vs combat was well done in my opinion as they're publishing it on Bluray too (now or soon?) i hope more people play it... 2nd in place is Hidden Agenda which is a movie like police investigation Definitely Bleach Soul Resurrección! The trophy name even more than the image though Yes there are other cool looking trophy images in my collection but only this game made me go for the to unlock this image (even as #175 ) This is Aizen the Antagonist and the description is: I will transcend all! And he really wants to do that... becoming someone stronger than a Shinigami (Samurai like Protector of the Undead) and a Hollow (Undead Monster) and for that he wants to sacrifice 100.000 people among other things... but he's so cool and arrogant ... Far Cry Primal but not mainly cuz it's ugly or generic only so small i didn't see anything until i upscaled it just now ? it looked like an eye with just a slash in the middle but it's more detailed (people and white hands around - Saruman would be proud ) ... If this is about the total trophy list of a game then it's God of War 3 and Ascension... Senua from Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice wins a little over Hidden Agendat... there's few games with a female protagonist at all but Senua is on her own facing the perils of death while Becky Marney and Felicity Graves have some friends around themselves... Those 3 women show their feelings but in Hellblade i was more involved, i kept more distance in Hidden Agenda as it looks more like a movie (although i do like the style!)... This decision is not as easy as the female one just because there wasn't such a good one here... i go for Makoto from Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc as Makoto struggels through a life threatening situation saying he's the utlimate lucky student is a pun intentionally there ... but instead of being brute (hello Kratos ^^) he's smart and seems like an average teenage boy... SKYRIM on PS4... i love this game and i was happy when they announced a PS4 version, then a let down thx to no mods allowed for trophies i struggled a few days buying it but went for it and it was so great to be back - i had played it 3 times on PC already... i wasn't happy about the Thief Guilds last trophy but beside from that every trophy was rather easy... getting one skill to lv 100 for example? hell, i got sneak 5 times to that and smithing twice, some others once to max in order to reach lv 70+ for a legendary dragon to spawn ?... i set it to Easy this time to be a Great Sword wielding Badass instead of the sneaky Archer well sometimes the Archery came in handy (especially fighting mages)... #200 well deserved No Orc Slayer this year?! ? Ok then it is Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space ... clunky controls, too much green on screen thx to low difficulty but one quick platinum so i obtained it a second time ... close behind is Slyde ... need i to explain why?! ? Mh this is the hardest one... i'll name several: Dirt Rally. I played it a bit and it's hard. I don't win a race by default like i did/do in many other racing games... Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Great game for "thinking outside the box", don't go the most obvious path, look around for another one... but sadly the servers are partially broken and i can't get some more trophies so this might be stuck uncomplete forever ... God of War PS4. I played the latest GoW for an hour or so and it looks good. And i think the relationship to his son gives the game a similarity to TLOU which i like for the conversations between Joel and Ellie... Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. The first game was an amazing journey although a bit repetitive but i have high hopes the 2nd game takes the parts i like about the first and goes further down the road (Damn that took much longer than i thought to write... almost an hour by now ) Edited December 2, 2018 by Evil_Joker88
Dr_Mayus
@Evil_Joker88 your Bloodborne story would have been more Badass if you had beaten him with 2 health potions Also just like Hat in Time I have been hearing good things about Hellblade. These both might be 2019 games for me.

Definitely Bleach Soul Resurrección! The trophy name even more than the image though Yes there are other cool looking trophy images in my collection but only this game made me go for the to unlock this images (even as #175 ) This is Aizen the Antagonist and the description is: I will transcend all! And he really wants to do that... becoming someone stronger than a Shinigami (Samurai like Protector of the Undead) and a Hollow (Undead Monster) and for that he wants to sacrifice 100.000 people among other things... but he's so cool and arrogant ... lol yeah this game's grind is horribly boring. They could have done away with the grind and done something else by adding more characters. Would have loved to do something with Isshin, Kisuke, or Yamamoto. (wish I had done more to remember the game and take notes because I would have made a guide for sure.) Aside from loving the series once upon a time, I made plans to make this game my 100th plat, before I even reached 50, simply for the image...so I ended up waiting around 2 years before playing it I think. Aizen is my favorite anime villain of all time. Edited December 2, 2018 by Avatar_Of_Battle
ihadalifeb4this
Nice! I'll do my list later. Piece of Cake Award: A Way Out - It's fun and short game with really easy trophy list. It's Like Dark Souls: Rise of the Tomb Raider/Endurance Mode - I was trying to get 100 artifacts with + 450% multiplier on Survivor difficulty. It didn't end well. I would usually die after picking up over 40 artifacts. My best attempt was 82, but I got killed. I'm putting this on hold because of Red Dead Redemption 2. Bad Ass Award: Allenation - It took few tries, but I managed to max out character in Hardcore (permadeath) mode and to complete all story missions on Legenda difficulty. I even have it on YouTube. I also had my fail of the year in this mode. I was on last map doing master difficulty and my battery died right before horde spawned. Grind of the Year: Tom Clancy's Ghost Reacon Wildlands - It took a while to max out Tier One. King of the Internet: Doom - Really well made shooter living up to it's name. It was mostly fun to work on dlc trophies. It's so cool to play as demon. Worst Online Experience: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - I hate to do this to otherwise really good game, but servers are broken. I can't plat it for now. To make things even worse I already bought DLCs. Sleeper Hit of the Year: A Way Out - I expected lot more people to play/plat game on this website. I'm glad it got nomination for Best Game Direction. Best Trophy Image: Rise of the Tomb Rider - I didn't finish game yet, but from games I played this year I like this platinum image most. Worst Trophy Image: Alienation - They were really lazy with this trophy list. Best Female Character: Lara Croft - I don't know why, but she's the only game character that I'm drooling over. I liked her on ps1 and I like her now. Best Male Character: Kratos - Christopher Judge did great job bringing God of War to life. Most Anticipated Platinum of 2019: Red Dead Redemption 2 - It's probably optimistic to think I will get it in 2019 because I will probably leave this one for my 100th plat. I'm getting trophies way too slow to reach 100 next year. Edited December 3, 2018 by ihadalifeb4this

A_KlR_A
Is going to: Fallout Shelter Funny game, a little grind and time consuming but still i like this. It dont have story but i want give this Award to this game than to any Talletale games. Award is going to: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition I love this game. I have 2 platinums from this game and played this about 7-8 full times. Just for fun and checking dubbing. And yes i know its not Dark Souls, but its the closest to DS from any other my games. Award is going to: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition Nope. Not gonna give this award to any other game. Nope. For me only Witcher deserv this award. And this award is going to: Tom Clancy's The Division Boring as hell game. Those all collectibles? And no stories, no cutscenes? In some point it was only runing from point a to point b for stupid collectibles. Screw this games. And this award is going to: Titanfall 2 Very underrated game. Great story, and great multiplayer. I would say very easy platinum if NOT one stupid trophy. Who played this game then you know what it is -_-. Still great game, i hope T3 will be the same fun Dead Space 3 Beacuse i didnt find any coop partner, and have 0 trophies so i dont know if this count - i think not xD. Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception I was thinking its gonna be only so-so. But it turned to be great game! Tom Clancy's The Division Its not garbage, but its for sure overhyped game. It was so boring that if i havent payed for this and i knew its easy platinum i would dropped making platinum :/. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy have the best looking platinum and other trophies images. I would like to say it was hard decision beacuse also Witcher, Dishonored, God of War and otheres ahve nice looking images but for me its the best. Final Fantasy XV I was also thinking about South Park. But no, FFXV have the same boring images. And SP have ugly images but still they diffrent. Detroit: Become Human Kara Beacuse. Thats it. God of War Kratos. I wanted to vote for Witcher Geralt but no. Kratos deserve this better. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition Like i wrote earlier, i love this game and i played for pure fun 7-8 times. And for sure its not last! Tom Clancy's The Division Overhyped, repetive, boring. I want forget about this. If its about game which is gonna come next year then its gonna be: Cyberpunk 2077. But if its game which it have already come, then i think gonna platinum next year Spider-Man. Popular Post Dilust
Piece of Cake Award: Batman : The Telltale Series - practically playing the game nets you a platinum. It's Like Dark Souls: Darkest Dungeon - I loved this game. It's unfair with its RNG system but in the right way, if you learn how it works it'll give you a lot of satisfaction. Bad Ass Award:Magicka 2 - Very interesting and fun game with a gazillion of combos available. It is a very hard platinum too. I should thank my coop partners because without them I'd never ever completed those damn challenges on banana difficulty. Grind of the Year:Absolver - what idiots I was to start this pile of crap. Basically this game is not so difficult but it has a very poor leveling system. It integrates two experiences levels, one for singleplayer and one for multiplayer, and the second one is necessary to unlock stuff for the sp experience - how the hell may this be a sensible thing, I don't know. And in order to unlock new moves you have to find the enemy that uses this move, avoid, parry, etc. it and then kill the enemy, if the enemy kill you you lose every experience gained, so rinse and repeat ad infinitum. King of the Internet: Laser League - this is an ultra rare platinum, but basically the game is not so complicated. It's fun in its mechanics but a bit of a grind because leveling class is linked to specific challenges - not always balanced well. In the complex the game is only good. Worst Online Experience: Definitively Absolver. The online is full of people that spam the same ultra-fast or ultra heavy attack over and over again. The coop side experience is practically not existing. Sleeper Hit of the Year: I do not know if this game counts because it has no platinum. However my greatest surprise this year was Neon Chrome. A great twin-stick shooter with roguelike elements, tons of weapons and skills. Very addictive and very well made. Biggest Bomb of the Year: No major title disappointed me this year. On the contrary a lot of indies made me regret having started them: Absolver for the above mentioned reasons; Claire, because pixel-art doesn't means that I couldn't see anything and damage my eyes by trying to decipher the crap on the screen; Games of Thrones, because is the example (in negative) of what Telltale games have become - barely a game experience with the "disillusion" of a choice system. Best Trophy Image:Darkest Dungeon has some very nice trophy images: Worst Trophy Image: The worst trophy set belongs to Beyond: Two Souls for sure. What great imagination they had. Best Female:Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw. How can't you love this bad-ass zombie slayer heroine? Best Male:Barry Burton from Resident Evil Revelations 2. Great performance in this game. Hope to see him soon. Best Plat of the Year:The Saboteur was the funniest game I played this year. I enjoyed every single moment of mayhem and destruction. Worst Plat of the Year: Guess what? Absolver. Most Anticipated Plat of 2019: My backlog has the magnitude of a black hole and it's full of masterpieces of the current and past generation. Mass Effect, The Last of Us, Nier Automata, God of War and many more. Really I'm so overwhelmed that I do not know where to start. BlackTorito
Nice topic, should be a good way to review your whole year. Piece of Cake Award: this one goes to BATMAN; yes, luckyly I have played a Telltale game this year, so literally no guide needed. It's like Dark Souls: definitely MONSTER HUNTER:WORLD, so sick with the crown hunting and Diablos. Bad Ass Award: I will go again with MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD, the combat actually feels really good, it feels amazing to broke the tails, horns and stuff. Specially when you master ther Charge Blade and you totally destroy Nergigante. Grind of the Year: here we go with FINAL FANTASY X. I spent half the summer on this platinum alone. King of the Internet: as usual, I had a lot of fun with DESTINY 2, specially with the last DLC. Raids is one of those unbeatable experiences. Worst Online Experience: can I say RED DEAD ONLINE? Sleeper Hit of the Year: I would recommend VAMPYR, even though the battle is pretty simple, it really does a good work in the atmosphere and the story. Biggest Bomb of the Year: for me this was MIDLE EARTH: SHADOW OF WAR, I just didn't feel it as good as the previous one. Best Trophy Image: Worst Trophy Image: Best Female Character: I liked KARA from DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN. Best Male Character: gotta be ATREUS from GOD OF WAR, love that kid. Best Plat of the Year: definitely GOD OF WAR, I just loved every single minute; got real hooked. Worst Plat of the Year: FINAL FANTASY X-2 (why is this game a thing) Most Anticipated Platinum of 2019: probably CYBERPUNK: 2077 or THE LAST OF US 2. I hope they are out by the end of 2019.
DragonQuest238
I think I am ready to participate in this. Piece of Cake Award goes to: Storm Boy. To be honest, I only checked a guide to see if I was doing anything right, and I was. There was no challenge at all, it was just a "walk right, do a short no-fail game, and you get every trophy." I think the only trophy you could fail at is the one which requires you to re-enter every mini-game from the Remember mode, but even that's easy. To be fair, this is based off of a novel which I might pick up next year. It's Like Dark Souls: Alteric. The only game which I have ever decided never to plat. Only two trophies away and one requires you to complete the third world, which is impossible for me because one stage requires you to jump precisely on several switches. I am getting into middle age and my hands and eyes can't coordinate as they used to. Better to leave it. Also, the boss monster looks like a stoned Blackface. (I apologize to any Afro-Americans on this forum for the slur. ) Bad A$$ Moment: When I finally got that one Gold Brick in LEGO Marvel Superheroes which requires you to parkour across zip lines. Grind of the Year: While I didn't plat Final Fantasy XIV(though I would gladly do so in 2019 if I can figure out how to make a Square-Enix account for my current PSN account, that is, once I complete EVERYTHING in Maplestory - goodbye life ), I can say the winner of this trophy is clearly Super Hero, Familiarologist and Mad Scientist from Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. If they ever remaster it for the PS5, I pray to DARKRAI that they add an item or buff that makes enemies drop rare items 90% of the time because spawning those damn golden familiars post-game SUXXOR. King of the Internet: Can't nominate since I don't do multiplayer games, but I think everyone is going to blow it away with Red Dead 2. Worst Online Experience: No comment. Sleeper Hit of the Year: I think more people need to check out Celeste. I believe the reason that they didn't disable trophies by using the powerful Assist Mode was so that people could just get to the cutscenes and get the platinum without too much trouble. Not all of the trophies are easy - Assist Mode doesn't exist for the required PICO-8 trophies, which are basically 8-bit Celeste and hard to get as all balls. Biggest Bomb of the Year: I didn't hate many games this year, so I can't comment on this. I'd say that I was disappointed by Spyro 3 not having a 100% trophy. While I would hate the game again if it forced me to complete the Super Secret Bonus Level, I got farther in the original Spyro 3 than I did in the remastered version, which really hurts. Also, Spyro 2's boss trophies stink too, but at least they kept the skill points because I loved firing a rocket into Ripto's ugly pants. (The original Ripto looked a lot cooler, the teeth don't suit his mouth.) Best Trophy Image: I have to go with Castlevania Requiem. The image of Drac on his throne from the end of Rondo of Blood and his corny dub line in the original dub Symphony of the Night as the platinum name really brings the whole thing together. You don't have to be an artist to make a cool image. Worst Trophy Image: I'd say Shadow of Loot Box but then again, it's a parody of online-only games so I forgive them for the lame image. Best Female Character: Gonna put it out to Hat Kid from A Hat In Time, she is really cute! Best Male Character: I put in Erik from Dragon Quest XI, a really cool thief character. (I haven't gotten any new characters, though. Need to get back to playing that game. ) Best Plat of the Year: Okay, A Hat In Time wins this. While it was also very frustrating getting all of the time pieces, the journey of Hat Kid as she recovers her hourglass fuel and the hilarious characters you run into really make the game worth a look(I might even hang myself with a short noose and buy the game on Steam with the Seal the Deal DLC just to hate myself since they won't port the Seal the Deal to PS4 ). Wurst Plat of the Yeer: Me and @Cassylvania are raising money to hire Agent 47 to bump off Phil after he sent us on his "epic adventure." Also, I want to send a dog catcher to put POWGI to sleep after he blatantly stole Disney's characters for his damn Word Search. Most of the games by Lightwood, don't suport their puzzle addicition. Most Anticipated Platinum of the Year 2019: Well... It's kinda obvious, isn't it? Expect me to cuss profusely as Sora is one-shot over and over forever in Critical Hit mode in worlds based on Pixar just for that "please kill me now" Critical Competitor trophy and wish I was dead to get the obvious mini-game trophies. ?
GarciaFever
For the time being, I will nominate Infamous Second Son as the "Piece of Cake" award. I will come back later after I had some rest.
Stockton572
Because it seems no one's commented on it yet, the "Worst Trophy Image" I initially thought was from Bean, then I remembered he screwed up Whistler's Mother. Just some photoshop fun? I'll put my own awards out eventually, I suppose.
Popular Post PooPooBlast
Oooh this going to be fun! And I have yakuza 0 taking over most of the categories but for the sake of not repeating myself I'll restrict one game to each category Piece of cake award: Comes form a telltale game, no surprise here. I'll just choose the wolf among us since I am saving another telltale game for an another reward It's like darksouls: Since I didn't really play that many difficult games this year, Modern warfare remastered wins this category because of a few sections on veteran >.< like this one.. Otherwise, I didn't encounter any crazy diffucult moments. Bad A$$ Moment Yakuza 0!!! Seriously though. What 20 year old could say that they danced on the disco floor with Spoiler Michael jackson!! , directed a movie, bet on catfights, sang karoake, took telephone club girls out on a date of all ages , and became the dragon of dojima!!! Yakuza 0 wins with absolutely no contest for me this year. Grind of the year: Borderlands mad moxxii dlc hands down!! Was just hell. Never again... King of the internet: It's gotta be TEKKEN 7!!! Made it my 100th plat and I still play it to this day. Racked up almost 700 wins and counting in online . Worst Online Experience: Honestly, I wouldn't say I had one this year but if I had to choose, it'll be FFXV, not because of the online but because of the fact that it's quite deserted and you're stuck playing on your own most of the time. Otherwise FFXV was a solid online experience ( except for the grind for kW but I did that in 2017 so it doesn't count here ) Sleeper hit of the year: It's gotta be A Way Out. Phenomenal story and it'll leave you speechless at the end. It's best played with a friend!! Had tons of fun playing with @Rantaro Biggest Bomb of the Year: Oh god.. It's a close call between The surge and burnout paradise remastered but I think burnout wins. Sorry @Paleblood . Burnout had everything wrong going against it.. Confusing minimap that rotates like hell.. Dj atomica's annoying voice, janky music, no proper gps system.... lame repetitive races... Gigantic empty map with no fast travel.. you're given OP cars from the get-go and so you don't even feel motivated to win and unlock better cars because you are already winning most of them lol... I could keep going on and on.. Absolute horse shit. Sold it and got my money back Best Trophy Image: Comes from Agents of Mayhem. Literally describes how I feel after every plat . (and the game was solid!) Worst Trophy Image: The walking dead.. A No brainer.. Best Female Character: While it wasn't a character I played - SHANNNIIIII from the Witcher 3. # team shani # don't romance the rest. Shani gets all the love. But if I had to control the character as a criteria then Kat from Gravity rush 1 and 2! Such an innocent gal. (too innocent at times ). LOL there is a sidemission where Spoiler you have to take pics of beautiful women for an old man.... and in the end Kat takes a pic of herself Best Male Character: Majimaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa GOOORooooooo. Love that crazy one eyed goof Best Plat of the Year: Gotta be the witcher 3 man. Incredible, incredible game. Amazing sidestories, relatable characters, and an awesome soundtrack to accompany it. Wurst Plat of the Yeer: Batman Telltale... Absolute waste of my time.. Had a somewhat interesting plot and when the twist came, I just wanted to turn off my console and delete the game.. Would've been Until Dawn but at least that one had me cringing at parts so it became a cringe simulator which I enjoyed in a weird way . Most anticipated plat of 2019: Yakuza 3 remastered which is coming soon to NA baby! And that's all she wrote for me this year. It was a little slower than 2017 but I had fun Edited December 2, 2018 by PooPooBlast
Popular Post ladynadiad
Piece of Cake Award: Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly. Probably one of the easiest VNs to plat. For the majority of the routes you don't even need a guide. Just play the game once blind, then go to the flowchart and look for the empty spots and fill them in. Only one ending needed a guide and that was because you have to start that route from an earlier chapter. Great story too and it was greatly appreciated to not need a guide. It's Like Dark Souls: Exist Archive. I would say this specifically for the speed run trophies and me playing it on Vita where there is a nasty freezing issue when you make use of the best strategy for said speed run trophies. The last couple of speed runs were really hard to do with having to adjust the strategy a bit. Grind of the Year: Considering I platted Exist Archive, one would think that would be it, but actually it's not. I'm giving this one to Final Fantasy XIII even if that actually had less of a grind because the treasure hunter trophy is one of the worst trophies in the series. Grinding on turtles for the needed money and catalysts for that trophy was boring. Then when I thought I was done, nope trophy didn't pop because I missed something somehow even though I was being very careful with a checklist so I had to do it all again to figure out what stupid item I missed. There was seriously absolutely no excuse for this game to lack an in game method to keep tabs on what items you've made, especially when there was already an in game method for monsters and story and it would have been easy to add a section there for equipment. Sleeper Hit of the Year: Tokyo Xanadu. Seriously, so few people have played this game and it's actually really fun. Definitely recommend it to action RPG fans for its solid characters, good world building and fun gameplay. Biggest Bomb of the Year: Well, I don't tend to play many big budget AAA games, or really any at all. But there are two games that I found to be horrible enough that I do not want to have the games in my collection any longer and that would be Secret of Mana (PS4) and Undertale (Vita). Undertale is mostly because it had been hyped as this amazing game and I was so bored by it. Secret of Mana wasn't so much because the game was bad, but because it was a glitchy mess that just shat all over the original in every way possible. Best Trophy Image: This is actually a hard choice because I have some with some really lovely plat images so here's my favorires Worst trophy image: And have a few potentials here as well Best female character: Can I just say nearly every female character from the Trails series? Okay, if I have to narrow it down, Estelle Bright from the Trails in the Sky arc because she is hands down the best female protag I've ever seen. She accomplishes being strong while still obviously being female rather than just a tomboy like most "strong" females tend to be. She's a great balance of feminine while still being reasonably badass. Her development across the arc is also great. Among antagonists, I'd give this to Vita Clotilde from the Trails of Cold Steel arc. Anyone who has beaten CS2 knows that she could have easily have been broken emotionally and mentally from that ending. She didn't let it bring her down and kept on going and found a path that works for her even if it wasn't the one she originally was on. And along the way she even accomplished making amends with her family and atoning for the things that went wrong. It's rare to see a good female antagonist, but Trails of Cold Steel has multiple and it's hard to pick just one. Best male character: Kevin Graham from Trails in the Sky. Kevin is really a great character who has a lot of tragedy in his past and still accomplishes being a solid support for the group. He's not one to let his past get the best of him and will keep on going as long as he's physically capable of it and do his best to also be good company and a shoulder to cry on. Then when it comes time for him to face his own past, he does so quite well. We realize he actually hasn't dealt with his trauma quite as well as we think, but in doing what he did to push it away he built up a very solid support network and was willing to rely on them when he needed them the most. He's definitely a great character and it's a crying shame the game he's the main character in is only on PSN in Japanese.
