All Night Difficulty Feels Different

13 posts in this topic

I have a few King Crazy's (and a few very close to) on All Night difficulty on the Vita version, but I find myself actually struggling to even complete those same songs on the PS4 version. Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? I'm thinking either my eyes just aren't fully adjusted yet, or tracking all the notes on a larger screen is that much harder.

I don't have my games yet but from the demos the games are harder to play, to me, because of the larger screen and needing to use the analog sticks for the scratch notes.

The Vita felt perfect for the type of game this is. Looking at the game on a TV is like reading a 100 word essay that was typed using 72-point font.

Rhythm games in general have always felt better suited to handhelds in my opinion. They just don't seem to work as well on the big screen.

Bright side is that you can use the L1 and R1 buttons for scratch notes.

Agreed, usually when I play Miku on PS3 and vita, the experience is totally different and play on vita is to me much better.

Persona 4 dancing all night on PS4 has another trophy list? It’s inside Persona 5 or P3? I can’t see ir on playstation store.

When I first playthrough P4DAN on the Vita I used the PSTV and I was... okay at the game. When I switch to the Vita I struggled so hard to even complete just one song. So you probably need to just get used to playing the game on a larger screen.

No its not different its the same and even easier since I still know everything from my runs on vita.

I alredy platinumed the JP and ASIA version on PS4 and there is no change at all.

It's not different but it's also easier...

The "change" as some have explained comes from the size of the screen. On a Vita you can see all the prompts without shifting your eyes or moving your head. That isn't the case for people with bigger TVs. THere's no claim that it's a BIG CHANGE preventing the plats. It feels different to some but do keep thinking you decide how anyone feels about their game experiences.

Getting the platinums are fine and are still just as simple, I'm talking about acing songs on All Night.

I was going into this thinking that it wasn't going to be the case, but it inevitably did. You're also kind of forced to adapt and use the L1/R1 buttons for scratches since using the analogs for scratches on a PS4 controller is kind of booty compared to the Vita.

It's (at least for now) exclusive to the special combo edition (as a DLC code, I'm seeing the code for around $25 on eBay) of 3 and 5

Put me in the "this feels easier" column. I'll admit that, prior to P4:DAN on Vita, all of my rhythm game playing had been on console. So, it felt completely right to move this back to console for me. I had loads of trouble with even hard difficulty on the Vita, but I have finishing a large number of All Nighters on the PS4 sightreading only. One of the great things about the console is that I can see the blue scratch rings a LOT more easily.

Also, people don't like the analog stick for the rings? I loved it. It was incredibly easy to slide my right thumb from the buttons to the stick to recover when a scratch ring flies by. In any case, it's a new plat for me!
