What confirmed 2019 games are you most excited for?

As 2018 comes to a close, I find my curiosity piqued of what games are currently confirmed to be coming out in the year ahead.  Mostly to see what kind of hole I'll be digging myself in financially.   Which got me thinking, I'd also be interested to see what games other people are interested in too... not that I need more ideas or anything.   Games that you legitimately intend to pick up ASAP when they come out (not stuff you might kinda sorta pick up a year or two after release on sale).

 

There are a lot of places to get lists of games coming out in 2019, so I'll leave that up to you guys.

 

My personal hit list for 2019 looks something like:

1. Resident Evil 2 Remake (PS4) - January 25th - Preordered

2. Shenmue III (PS4) - August 27th - Backed on Kickstarter

3. Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Xbox One) - TBA

4. Control (PS4) - TBA

5. Pokemon (Switch) - TBA

6. Dreams (PS4) - TBA

The game I'm most looking forward to is Metro Exodus. I just replayed the Redux collection and watched loads of gameplay videos for Exodus and got myself so hyped for it. Other than that, I like the look of Far Cry New Dawn, Rage 2 and Doom Eternal although I'll have to wait and see to make sure there's no predatory, anti consumer microtransactions in any of those.

Kingdom Hearts 3. 16 years of waiting makes this #1 by default. Getting to finally see how everything comes together and ends, there will probably never be another game I'm most excited for.

 

Metro Exodus is a bronze trophy away from KH3 as my top pick. I wasn't expecting to like the series as much as I did when I bought Redux as something to have in my backlog for a rainy day.

1. Kingdom Hearts III !! I have been waiting for this since KH2 came out way back 2005.... it's been over 10 years now with a bunch of random spin offs in between.

 

2. Crash Team Racing: I must have spent a million hours on Crash games as a kid, particularly CTR along with 3 warped.

 

3. Code Vein: It looks like a really interesting JRPG from the trailers. The characters look pretty cool.

Otherwise for me I'd say Kingdom Hearts 3. Nothing else has me super stoked really though. Which is probably a good thing with my backlog and games I haven't bought that I want.
