Do you need to buy DLCs in order to earn DLC trophies? Some said you don't have to.

Looking objectively, it's logical that you have to own the DLC to get any trophies on it, so yes, you need to buy the Season Pass for that game to play the DLC. I mean, I can rent games at GameFly to earn platinum trophies but unfortunately the developers make it impossible to rent DLC, you have to buy their season passes to get the DLC content. If the DLC is on the physical copy, you can rent that and get everything, but I've yet to see a physical game copy have the DLC content unless it's a remastered version. This is just my personal experience, though.

 I do know some games have free DLC, like Mugen Souls and whatnot, but the DLCs I've paid for are Season Passes for stuff like LEGO games so it depends on the game.

Please do not post if you don't know what you are talking about. There is no season pass or paid dlc for any trophies in this game. Don't spread misinformation and make sure to read properly the forum's game title next time.
