Wow, the plat is really common

19 posts in this topic

I'm kind of surprised how common the plat is, considering the flying levels (as well as the flying trophies), the gears (I couldn't find these without a guide) and Tree Tops. Wow, I guess people really seem to love this game as much as I do, hence so many people got the platĀ šŸ˜…Ā

The flying levels weren't really that bad imo. I think there was a disproportionate amount of people complaining about them and in the end they likely completed it too.

i might be in the minority here but i felt like the flying levels weren't that badĀ once you figure out where everything is. I saw alot of people complaining about it when the game released.

If a person does the Spyro 2 flying levels first, it makes it easier to do Spyro 1, at least in my experience.Ā

I remember hating the flying levels as a kid.Ā  Maybe we all just got better in the past 20 years.

I was expecting the rarity to be over 80% based on the title. Well, it's over 50%, so yeah, it's technically common.

Difficulty is subjective, but I can probably say it's much easier than the Crash Bandicoot series.

Ā

I was hoping the Spyro games would be a bit more challenging. The Time Trials were what kept me playing Crash and keeping me occupied for a few days.

The flying levels were my least favorite part of the game, at first they seemed impossible to me but once you got used to the controls they weren't that difficult. Looking at videos on YouTube on what is the best route to take also helped a lot.

I liked the speedways in Spyro 1 more than the other two. 2's were fun too but 3's were just boring for me

Ā

as for the platinum rarity, the game isn't really tough at all to plat. Just gotta explore and do all the stuff. Fun games though, enjoyed my time through them

I had trouble with the flying leves too in the beginning, but it's a case of doing it over and over again and finding the right pattern. It still was the least enjoyable part for me, but very doable in the end.

Spyro two was pretty anyoing though, for multiple reasons, but mostly some of the orb challanges were really infuriating, and I did have some trouble with the supercharge sections in all games, but that's just because my reflexes aren't as good as they have been

I don't understand what the surprise for being a common platinum, since spyro is relatively easy compared to other similar games like crash bandicoot.

Honestly all 3 of them were REALLY easy to platinum. I got the total completion for the trilogy in 27 hours (7 for Spyro 1, 10 for the other two) and nothing was a challenge except maybe one or two levels per game. For me, the flying levels are some of my favorite levels in each game (I wish there were a few more) and they're just a really nice break from collecting nonstop.

I am playing Spyro 1 at the moment but to be honest I am finding it kind of boring, I hope 2 and 3 pick up a little more.

I think it's also because most owners of trilogy areĀ veterans who knows these games from inside out. Several fastest achievers of platinums are people who doesn't excel at speedrunning games but are more casual players.

Spyro Is just as popular now as back then, even more so. The kids who grew up playing it are now playing it and most likely giving their young kids a crack at it as well

Same here. I am around half way through and have beenĀ thinking 'Is this all it is?' The story (if you could even call it that) is pretty pitiful too. I am really hoping they added more to the next two games.
