Solo or co-op

What is everyone doing? I'm doing solo atm but wouldn't mind playing with others sometime, do trophies get messed up playing with others?

The only thing that "messes up" in co-op is that your own personal island progress won't be saved when you join someone.

 

The game saves that you have been to islands, saves everything you craft and obtain and mine, anything you build, etc. But if you want to go back to your own world you have to start where you were (unless you are hosting when in co-op). 

 

The biggest thing that messes up is that the items for opening boss worlda seem to glitch out for your solo world if you activate the portals in someone else's co-op world. So I would suggest that you either host the co-op game or play the game to completeness in your co-op partner's world.

heads up, you need to inflict damage on the bosses to get the trophies for beating them. But the misc. trophies will pop regardless, such as Can't Touch This

I would personally say this game is easier to do solo, that way you are unlocking the islands in your own world and don't have to wait for your coop partner to be on to work on things (if you aren't the host the islands you unlock in coop will not be unlocked for you while playing solo).  All of the boss related trophies are also easier to do solo and you will more than likely get them while you are grinding for your Fluffy gear.  However it can be fun/faster to do the events with a friend if you don't want to do the exploit.
