Spring 2019 Backlog Challenge

Thinking of making my entire summer list RPGs or RPG-like games.  Not 100% on that, though.

Pretty poor progress, work has been wiping me out so I haven't had the mental energy to think about the challenge. I've been sucked into a DRPG/visual novel called Zanki Zero. I'd like to swap Rebel Galaxy for Zanki (0% > 37%) because I see myself playing a lot of it during the challenge. This week I'll probably play Zanki and maybe some atelier before getting Days gone on Friday.

Going to take advantage of the promo at GameStop. Best case, I enjoy the game and plat it in time. Worst case, I can get something else after returning it.

 

I know I've been slacking as far as the challenge goes, but I'll get back to it in the next day or two.

I finally sat down with Hellblade again and made a bunch of progress until my hands started cramping (read: chronic pain) so I couldn't do the fight portion I had reached. I'll probably try again tomorrow.

 

I'm also thinking about adding another game since I know I'll beat it this week. If I add it, this post will get an edit. Mostly, I'm just bummed that I have a few games that I started after starting this Backlog Challenge that I never put on this list but are currently nearly 100%. ?

 

EDIT: Decided to add Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion. It's currently at 14%.

Well, looks like I have to drop out and sell of my PS4 and Vita. My life is now dedicated to children's card games.

 

*realizes that April Fool's was three weeks ago and sweatdrops HEAVILY*

 

But seriously, I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds Stardust Accelerator and started watching the dub of Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V so I didn't spend any time earning trophies. I know that I have to get my butt in gear and complete the games I put on the list because I have only four weeks left before the end of the event. So apologies in advance. I plan on a 48 hour marathon to at least complete Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

• Beat Nightcall on Master difficulty. I still have to tackle the "Classics" challenges for Nightcall but I'll do that in a few weeks.

• Progressed from Level 24 --> Level 36

 

Other than that, I've been playing other games as well. Started Superhot and I beat the game, just have to go back and complete all of the challenges. I also played more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and I'm hoping to make that plat #10 by next week. Also beat God of War: Ascension, I just have to do some quick trophy cleanup for an hour.

I remember now why I took a break from playing Hellblade. While I am absolutely in love with the game, it is emotionally taxing. I am nearing the end though, and I'm scared to see what happens to Senua. Only three lorestones left and I believe one more boss fight (based on the story so far and trophies left).

 

Adventure Time was fun for a little while once I learned the fighting mechanics but, the game was so glitchy that I had to quit multiple times and reopen the game just to get it working again. Also, they had trophies where you had to grind to get characters to level 10 which I didn't think would be a problem but the enemies barely give you any XP and there wasn't really a great place to farm XP. Overall, it was cute and I didn't mind that I decided to spend time on it.

Just three more boss trophies. I'll just be getting boss trophies for 90% of the game, until I get to the final dungeon, due to the fact that I have to farm enemies for most of the remaining trophies.

is it only me or anyone has experienced being kicked off the game with an error message during the playtime with random players?? It happens several times.. I might try again tomorrow..

 

Solo: on part 2 was tedious and hard on crushing mode..

Despite a lot of interruptions, I still made quite a bit of progress today. Tomorrow, going to do the Separatist ground battles, then redo the ones I couldn't get earlier for the Republic. Then I'll do the Bounty Hunter missions. So far, don't think I'll have any issue finishing by Saturday. Also going to open the summer signups a day earlier than planned.

Completed three more boss fights in Secret of Mana for a trophy hunting event, so no more bosses for the first area, which is stupid long.

I've finished all the ground assault missions, space missions, and bounty hunting missions. Now I'm working on getting all the minikits and getting True Jedi in any level I didn't during story mode. I've done this for 8 levels so far and have 14 more. I was hoping to get a bit more done, but some outside factors and VERY bad luck on one of the levels stalled my progress.

I stopped working on Hellblade because I am saving it for my 40th Platinum so it shows up as a milestone on my profile. Decided to do something fun and lighthearted for a bit so I picked up FEZ. I put a few hours into it and finished my first playthrough (which only netted me two new trophies). I am on NG+ now and will probably finish the game either tonight or tomorrow. I didn't realize it didn't have a Platinum so I am probably going to play Teslagrad after that.

 

With any luck, I will have these three done over the weekend and that will give me time to focus on finishing KHIII and I can work on Mousecraft & Twin Robots in between or when I need a break from the grind of finishing it. I may actually finish everything this month but it all depends on if I get distracted by the other events I am also in. Luckily, one of them also uses KHIII, FEZ & Twin Robots so that bodes well for me.
