Thanks to the OP, that was helpfull. I'll post my times and scores too, just in case it would help someone.

 

01 - Score: 13,400 - Time: 04'37"31 (X-02S / 4AAM)

My times and scores were similar to the above. A few tips from my S-rank runs.

  • My personal preference for aircraft for almost all missions was the SU-57 with PLSL. These lasers have very long range can hit and take out targets from up to 5 km away and can fire rapidly. It also has a lot of ammo. They are very effective against both air and ground targets. However, they have to be aimed manually and can't fire through clouds. They do have a much larger hit area than the machine gun.
  • As soon as you see checkpoints in the top right corner you can restart from checkpoint with full health and ammo. Dying and going back to checkpoint will not void your S-rank. The time will be reset to the time when the checkpoint was made.
  • As mentioned above,  missions 09 - Faceless Soldier & 13- Bunker Buster are the hardest and require both a combination of speed and score to get the S-rank. Focusing just on getting the objective done fast will not get you the S-rank,  neither will destroying everything as it will be too slow. I killed the ace in both missions which I think is necessary to get the score high enough for S-rank.
  • 09 - Faceless Soldier: Aircraft - F22A with XSDB. My go-to of the SU-57 with PLSL was completely ineffective due to the clouds. I tried F22A with the QAAM but couldn't get the S-rank as it either took me too long to do the first part of the mission or I wasn't doing enough damage and couldn't get the ace to spawn. The XSDB special weapon lets you quickly destroy radar sites and AA sites once you pop out of the cloud cover. I destroyed as much of the ground targets as I could whilst trying to be fast (I wasn't looping back and wiping everything out in each area). I got the ace to spawn (by destroying enough non-radar targets) and killed the ace with one radar site remaining. Note, you can only take one hit from the unavoidable satellite / radar guided missile. For the second part of the mission, just take down the enemies as fast as possible. I had all standard missile upgrades applied. It was a bit slower for me as I didn't have QAAM but the high score I got from destroying ground targets with XSDB meant I got the S-rank.
  • 13- Bunker Buster: Aircraft - ADF-11F Raven. One of the DLC planes (the grey drone). It has a similar top speed to the Mig-31B but is more manoeuvrable. As above, my tactic was to quickly take out the silos whilst destroying any other targets that I could along the way. I even made some slight detours to take out a few extra , nearby enemies whilst travelling between silos. I didn't try to memorise location of silos (don't know if they are random or not), I hit all of them. The targets have to be destroyed quickly so the Ace will spawn. If the Ace didn't spawn the silos were taken down too slowly, in this case, restart as you will need to kill him to get the score high enough for S-rank.
