TugaSonic
Congrats to all the winners! Actually surprised to see my Tearaway Guide getting the first place since it was my first time making one and I feel like there's still a lot of room for improvement on my part (especially on my writing skills). Like to thank @BlindMango since he was the guide team member who reviewed and greatly helped me improve the guide (the idea to use different colours and headers to separate the different collectables came from him).

TwilightSpira
Congratulations to all the winners. The amount of content skyrocketed and the quality of the guides also improved. Fantastic work guys. I really want to congratulate @Undead Wolf and his team, I knew from the get go that the guide was bound for greatness, not to mention my happiness for seeing my game of the year earning the top prize for a change. God of war is amazing but the amount of content and fun world provides are just endless.

Any possible tweaks and changes you might implement for the next awards such as adding/removing/rephrasing categories? djippps
Wow!! I have read the results yesterday in the late evening ?. Congratulations to all the other winners! Z-Yux
Congrats to all the winners! There were a bunch of great guides out there and I'm sure it was difficult to pick three from each category. Also, a very humble thanks to the guide team mods and users who liked my Final Fantasy IX Trophy Guide enough to even nominate it, let alone place in the top three.
JNSpradlin
This is pretty cool. I made the FF9 missable trophy guide just to make getting the platinum easier for others so they didnt need 4 walkthroughs like me.

All the other points you bring up about the road-map wasn't relevant to this specific category at all. The same thing can be said about GuP guide. I created a thread about a glitch caused by a patch, in two hours he detected which patch was the culprit and edited the guide. In case of a "tie", other things could be taken in account, as overall quality of a guide. At any rate, I just felt like pointing out something that seemed off to me and I'm not fighting over this anymore. It's up to the guide team what they judge correct from my comment. RiverBeaver
I would like to thank everyone who voted on our Red Dead Redemption 2 100% Guide. Don't know what to say, I am speechless. My second guide I ever worked on had a price for being a good guide. ? This is amazing. Edited February 9, 2019 by NL_Sion
Popular Post Undead Wolf
I put a lot of time and effort into the Monster Hunter World guide, so I'm delighted to see it reach 1st place. I'm very proud of the final product and it makes me happy to see that it was useful to quite a few people. When I started writing guides towards the end of 2016, I never expected anything I did to gain widespread recognition, let alone winning a guide of the year award two years in a row! I guess now would be a good time to retire from guide writing. Gotta quit while you're ahead and all that. As a newcomer to the Monster Hunter series myself, my first priority when writing the guide was to make the game as approachable as possible for people like me. This was the main inspiration behind making the Tips & Strategies section, compiling many of the game's mechanics and various tips all in one place. Also at the time, there was a lot of misinformation going around about the crowns, with some people even claiming the game could take over 1000 hours to platinum. It was my hope that the guide could put some of these rumours to bed and encourage more people to go for the platinum who were maybe put off at first. After all, if a noob like me can get the plat, so can you! Of course, I'd like to give a big thanks to everyone who helped me along the way. The MHW guide was a team effort of course, and everyone chipped in on some level to make this thing happen with me. I have to give an extra special shout-out to @Redgrave, though, for not only his significant contributions to the guide, but for also making the act of playing the game a blast and one of my favourite experiences this console generation. Couldn't have done it without ya! Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who used, nominated, or said kind things about one of my guides in the past year. It sounds cliche, but I don't write these guides in the hope that I'll get some kind of reward out of it (although that is a very nice bonus of course ). I write guides because I'm a proud member of the trophy hunting community and it brings me great satisfaction to see something I made has helped fellow trophy hunters in some small way. Keep being awesome, people!

Redgrave
I didn't expect I would win anything but ultimately I'm glad to have helped make something as detailed as the Monster Hunter guide. Forgive the pun but it certainly was a monster to tackle Especially since it was my first Monster Hunter game and I didn't really know what to expect. But yes, I'm glad to have been able to see it through and have it wind up being more appreciated than I anticipated it being. Of course I wasn't the only one working on it and I know it wouldn't have looked near as good without help especially from @Undead Wolf And I'm also glad to see my Fist of the North Star Substory guide win something too. I actually expected that to win less than Monster Hunter but I still appreciate it I saw my L.A. Noire guide got nominated and along with Monster Hunter and Fist of the North Star I appreciate the comments towards them especially knowing that they helped. I hope with whatever guide I may work on in the future I can keep that up and improve further. Lastly, congrats to the winners of the other guides!
