Popular Post PerryToxteth
Alright, here's my list of 10 (!) games. 1. 1979 Revolution: Black Friday (PS4) - History game. That's about all I know about this one. 2. MXGP3 (PS4) - My proverbial KYC racing/driving game. This time, we're doing Motocross! 3. Maize (PS4) - A game involving corn on the cob characters. How many games can say that?!? 4. Dishonored (PS3) - Sad news here, I am slowly trying to retire my PS3. ? It's a long story but essentially, I'd like to get down to one console. 5. The Golf Club 2019 (PS4) - I've been jonesing for a golf game for awhile. 6. Batman (Telltales) PS4 - Picked this up on PS+ awhile back. With Telltales' untimely demise, there are rumors their titles will no longer be available digitally, so as this is already downloaded on my PS4, let's knock it out so it doesn't eat up more space. 7. Burly Men at Sea (PS4) - From what I know, it's short so it'll work great in this time slot as I'll be out of town this week. 8. Book of Unwritten Tales (PS3) - Another PS3 backlog title 9. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (PS3) - See above 10. Uncharted 4 - It's been way too long since I've played a game from this franchise. VooDoo, Here's a numeric list for copy/paste purposes: 1979 Revolution: Black Friday (March 1-3) MXGP3 (March 4-6) Maize (March 7-9) Dishonored (March 10-12) The Golf Club 2019 (March 13-15) Batman (March 16-18) Burly Men at Sea (March 19-21) Book of Unwritten Tales (March 22-24) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (March 25-27) Uncharted 4 (March 28-30) - Can't wait! See y'all on Friday!!

If you're going for the plat and don't intend to spend actual money, avoid this like the plague. They recently removed the ability to craft "foil" cards, because they wanted the players to feel "special" when they get one. As a result they are only available in packs, with a low chance to drop. I think you need 100 of them, so yeah. That bs move aside, it's a mediocre and poorly balanced cardgame. While it has an interesting approach to it and is arguably more tactical than other card games out there, the amount of broken cards makes this a somewhat miserable experience. The UI, menu navigation and tutorial are awful, the latter not explaining half of the mechanics in the game. PS: This is not a 1:1 adaptation of the built-in card game from Witcher 3 Thanks, for this i don't actually mind if the trophies are practically unachievable, i was really just keen to see what the game plays like i used to be a big fan of CCGs but haven't really played any for ages. The "mediocre and poorly balanced" does worry me though, so i'll take this into consideration when choosing my final list On 26/02/2019 at 3:29 PM, PerryToxteth said: - I played Submerged a few KYCs ago and liked it. It's one of those exploration games like Journey or Rime. More open world than either of those and it's interesting how they are able to tell the story without dialogue. Trophies are pretty easy. - I played 11-11 last KYC and recently got the plat. I'd recommend just playing through the game and worry about collectibles with chapter select. The story is pretty good, but not quite great. Can't quite explain why. I'd say don't buy it if it's still above $20 USD. BTW - my list will be posted later today. I think both of these games are ones i've bought off the back of reviews in previous KYCs (so possibly your playthroughs) 11-11 is one i'm really keen to play as i've heard lots of good things, submerged is one i'm more looking to get out the way and off the backlog list so will probably leave that one for now. So I think this is going to be my final list (order to be confirmed) Astro Bot Rescue Mission SubNautica Batman The Enemy Within Unravel Gwent Snake Pass 11-11 Memories Retold No Heroes Allowed! I enjoyed my time with 11-11 and am excited to see what you think about it. The voice acting is great with Elijah Wood ( who STILL looks like a Hobbit, sans makeup) and a voice doppelgänger of Hugh Bonneville. The trophies list is thoughtful, with random things here and there. Thank God (!) someone made a YouTube collectibles guide, otherwise there's no way I'd have gotten the platinum. A few collectibles are time-sensitive but again, don't sweat it on your story playthrough as there is a chapter select option when you finish the game. Of course, feel free to grab them when you see them. I can also help with getting all the endings trophies, provided my memory doesn't fail me. Gretchen27
@Crimson Idol Okay, I'm feeling better about my current game time then. It does seem to be holding your hand with tutorials & dishing out mechanics rather slowly. The in class quizzes on the history is a bit unfair with no prior explanation. I'm interested in the story & characters though, so it'll be a long time to completion. @Kevvik Thanks for the write up, those are good points to keep in mind. I'm glad I've saved it as my last game to start as I suspect I'll be putting time into 'experimenting ' with the combat system & learning enemy weaknesses. Still a shame explanations are the weakness part. Hopefully it won't be too hard to figure out or remember if I have to come back to the game at some point. 18 hours ago, kingofbattle8174 said: Starting a Neptune series game, my first actually. I just picked this up today. Where I was actaully had new vita games. Dont know anything about the series so will be interesting. I think this is just a VN. I needed a break before I did another after the last one. Megatagmension is one of the spin off games. Not bad at all just doesn't follow the typical gameplay. If you end up not liking it, don't write off trying a main series game down the road. You might need a break after this one as well. Amnesia has some questionable bad endings. Let's just say that. I'll be interested to read your review if you reach one I'm thinking of specifically.

I know neptunia has a huge following and branches off in so many directions. I have not looked much into it so I dont even know if there is like a preferred order or if they are mostly all self contained stories. I dont even like starting a new book series unless it is with book one. I did Period Cube and some of it was pretty cringy. Please tell me there is no almost incest ending. Just my input and not trying to resurrect an old debate with DamagingRob but Amnesia has some questionable "good" endings, let alone bad endings. To play devil's advocate though, I did enjoy a couple of endings, they just didn't outweigh the others for me in the long run but I always seem to find that inconsistency with VNs. 1 hour ago, voodoo_eyes said: Well, I ended up deciding on going with 10 games after all. I found the artstyle really worked for the story and that it allowed me to really sink into it. At least, that's how I remember it. I should check my old review to see if my memory is playing tricks on me. Edit: Yep, 7/10 final score. Reminded me of a couple flaws when reading my commentary but I'll leave those to you and see if you feel the same way. Okay, it's not that good. But better than the other otome games I've played, and probably some of the non-otome ones. I am probably not earning anymore trophies today, since I finished the game I decided to start yesterday early this morning. So, here are my starting stats: Games Played: 582 Games Completed: 483 Completion Percentage: 91.79% Unearned Trophies: 1,514 I actually did manage to improve my percentage a tiny bit, from the start of the previous KYC. How tiny? A whopping 0.07%. And soon I should be done with Rayman Legends. 3 or 4 more days probably, and I will finally be free of this daily ritual! It's a good go to series to play every once in awhile. & you don't really need to worry about order, each game is pretty much self contained. As for Amnesia; its been years since I read it...IIRC there's no incest to worry about. But I don't want to bias your choices by mentioning any character. You'll come across every ending regardless when going for the plat. @Kevvik This is true. It was my first VN actually & the shock value in some of those endings made it worth the read. I liked it overall, but it's certainly not for everyone.

I've played worse ones too (not on Playstation) but it doesn't make this one any better than it is because of that. Like I said, I enjoyed a couple of the paths but others, ugh. Tapping out now before this gets out of hand (and before the player review comes in, reigniting this whole debate...)
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Well, the first of March has arrived. I finished up the story of AC Origins (which has been a ton of fun btw) and am too tired to still start HDN Mk2, but awake enough to write up a preview for it. Game #1 - Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 - Preview By now, I think I can say I know the gist of this game series. Having played all of them except this one, Cyberdimension and Superdimension. The latter of which I have absolutely no interest in. Then there's also VIIR, which is the enhanced version of the regular VII. Man, I wished they'd cut that crap, and just release the proper version off the bat. Anyway, I'm honestly not having high expectations for this. While Rebirth 1 was fun for the few hours I played of it and the 3rd installment I despised for it's "grind now so you maybe can have fun later" approach, now this is kind of a coin toss. Im hoping this one has a more balanced progression system, but I'm not holding my breath. Edited March 3, 2019 by voodoo_eyes

MidnightDragon
Going to plat DQB before I start Tetris Effect, so will type in my starting stats after that.
