Popular Post crimsonidol38
Honestly I don't remember which stats I always posted at the beginning of the event so I will just post the basic things: Completion rate: 75.16% (highest ever ) Games played: 484 Games completed: 267 Trophies earned: 12,052 Trophies unearned: 4,974 (trophy advisor when also showing all DLC-trophies) Game 1, Preview: Gal*Gun Double Peace (PS Vita) As I already mentioned I did play the japanese PS4-demo a few years ago. I Didn't understand anything of the story-blurb but the basic gameplay can be described in one short sentence: On-rail shooter where the main character has to shot at girls that want to get lovey-dovey with him. Gameplay-wise I don't expect anything too spectacular but the game will surely try to compensate it with fanservice. A lot of fanservice like panty-shots, suggestive sounds, and probably some kind of pervy mini-games. I don't know if it will be the kind of fanservice that I will find tolerable or not but we shall see.

voodoo_eyes
So I booted up HDN MK2 today for a short while. I remember having purchased all the free additional content a while back, as I had done with Victory and many other JRPGs. I was hoping to find an in-game store when I booted up MK2, similar to the one available for Victory. Turns out there isn't one,.. I also noticed that all the free content seems to have been removed from the psn store for any of the Neptnunia games, so searching for them there was also a no-go. So I ended up spending quite some time searching through a download list with 930 items. Great start right there lol. I've just been doing 1 or 2 runs of the trials and taking what I get. Still at about 5250 / 6000. I recently did Orcs Must Die: Unchained which was a hell of a grind but it left me wondering which was worse, a crazy grind that I could do all at once or the slow. daily Rayman grind. Thanks. Could be looking at just 15 points needed tomorrow, if my gold scores hold. And I would much rather have the former. Lol. The amount of time I've wasted trying to get better scores to shorten this grind, is probably why I hate it so much.. But I just couldn't help myself. :/ 4 hours ago, voodoo_eyes said: I don't really like playing turn-based games on the Vita, and from what I've seen the combat is worse than from the other Neptunia games. It didn't seem all that different from the main games to me, and certain abilities are overpowered. So the grinding aspect you hate isn't very apparent, as long as you use those. I think I had it beat in less than 15 hours, but the grind for the Plat took about 22. Game 1 Preview: .hack//G.U. Last Recode Might as well do one of these preview things. .hack is something I'm very familiar with, but I have not played any of these games. I know they're JRPGs set in an MMO, but you don't play online. My love for .hack kinda stems from .hack//Sign and the original games. Also enjoyed the Legend of the Twilight and Quantum anime series. Roots... not so much. I'm hoping the games are better than that series (which seem to star the same guy), or I may end up being disappointed. I wish they would have remastered the first four .hack games, as well. Never did play the last one, and it costs a fortune even used.. We'll see if I enjoy these as much as the previous series of games.
GraniteSnake
Forgot to post my starting stats. Watched the opening to both Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow of the Colossus... needles to say I’m pretty excited. SOTC was pretty mind blowing! Games played: 158 Games completed: 132 Trophies earned: 5705 Trophies unearned: 521 Completion: 92.59% Given that there’s a further 389 available trophies between the 5 games I’ve selected, I’m expecting my completion rate to fall quite a bit. Looking forward to the month ahead.

Yeah for the Vita games tehre are still a few, mostly costumes, although on the EU store there only seems to be stuff for rebirth 3 and Action Unleashed. MK2 and Victory for ps3, had about 20-30 free dlcs each, ranging from item packs and costumes to additional areas/dungeons.
Popular Post kingofbattle8174
Game One MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies. Day One Thoughts Starting PCG 52.17% Current PCG 51.76% Trophies 9/36. 15% Welcome to my first Neptunia series game thoughts. The game starts off with a weird premise. You are on a alternate world called Gamindusti. Drum roll inserted here. I had actually heard this term before floating around. Now I know where it comes from. The main characters are all supposed to be goddesses. I guess this is just a play on words instead of calling them Idols. Calling them goddesses gives an excuse to give them abilities and what not. The game also cheap shots you again in the intro by thanking you for getting the one with the pretty girls. The plot is nonsensical at best. Right at the start you find out that birth rates are declining and with it so is new attendace at the school you all attend. That is a pretty far stretch for cause and effect. But whatever. So your plan is to make a great movie as the film club to get hype about the school and by that more people to attend. This movie will also have zombies. At the same time real zombies attack the school. So you use the real zombies as footage fighting them with your horrible dialoge inbetween. Gameplay is mostly a mashfest. You can spam the light and hard attacks mostly without problem for almost any fight. The bosses though you need to be able to ddo the specialty moves and combos or can get wiped out pretty easy. Since you go from fighting zombies to mechs. You have the standard RPG fare and options like changing clothes to something skimpier. Will be a fun plat to obtain i think though. It is a refreshing break after the tactcal rpg which progress has been painfully slow as of late.
Popular Post PerryToxteth
Sorry I waited so long to post my pre-event stats but I've been trying like hell to platinum Spintires: Mudrunner before the event started. Popular Post Gretchen27
I was hoping to work on L.A. Noire a bit more before starting, but didn't get the chance to play last night. No previous stats to report (obviously) & I'm not sure if there's a set format for reporting so I'll just follow along with how others post.Completion Percent: 89.26% Games Played: 146 Completed Games: 112 Unearned Trophies: 581 (649 when you count DLC & the 2 un-started games on my profile)Game 1 Preview: The Witcher 3 Witcher won out. Probably for the best since Crimson Idol is doing HZD. I know next to nothing about the series or this game in particular. Also, I have not checked any guides & probably won't do so for the first playthrough (unless I get stuck somewhere). I did see a short gameplay video around the time it came out. Reminded me a bit of Dragon Age with plenty of traveling & questing, dark atmosphere. If that holds true, I'll like it just fine. From what I recall, the main objective is to track down the protagonists daughter &/or stop all out war. I could be completely off the mark here. But I can safely guess they'll be a ton of side quests from monster slaying to tracking down lost people or pets to keep procrastinating the objective. I mean diligently training & helping NPCs. Bonus points if there's any customization. Love customization in games, could even be a simple name the horse or change armor pigment. Just please no crafting mechanics. I'll be starting later today when I get back home.

Popular Post Edunstar84
Game #1 - Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana - First Impressions (Geez...having problems with my iPad already, so my reviews might be a bit short) Playtime: 2 hours 45 minutes Trophies earned: 4/51 I forgot how much I love the Ys series. The music is top-notch! It was really difficult to put the game down when someone telephoned, or having to eat (when someone figures out how to make a complete meal in pill form I'm there!), however I'm quickly immersed into the game when I load it up again. I've played and platted Ys: Memories of Celceta before so I pretty much know how the battle system works. This is more than a mash X game. Although I'm playing on easy, I still have to be aware of the different enemy types (slash, pierce, strike), and use the appropriate team member for an even easier win. There's also a chance to Flash Guard or Flash Dodge an enemy to slow it down and have an opportunity to substantially lower the health bar. This comes in handy, especially with bosses. The battle system is so good I forgot to mention the story. Well, I've only played the first 2 chapters, and it starts off as the same Ys storyline. Adol finds himself in an adventure by being shipwrecked on an island, and since he has adventuring cred, he takes it upon himself, with his 2 sidekicks, to find the other unfortunate ship passengers. Not a story that will light the world on fire, but hey ho, it might get better. Now I'm off to do some errands, then I'll get back into the game. I'm glad I chose the 6 game option because I can really get into the games I chose, and I chose some pretty long ones.
Popular Post ImBossy83
Starting stats for this event 310 Games played129 completed55.1% completion5834 unearned Trophies So when i started my PS3 the first thing it did was ask for an update and after that it didn't boot properly anymore. At first i thought that all was lost and that i have to pick five new games but after a couple of reboots it suddenly worked again. So fingers crossed that my PS3 doesn't completely Brake during this event. Game #1 Hitman Contracts I decided to start things of with one of my favorite gaming franchises and that is Hitman. Hitman Contracts is a 2013 released HD Port of a Ps2 Game. The original released back in 2004 and is itself a partial rerelease of the first Hitman Game. The premise of the story is kind of a weak excuse to replay old levels. Basically you are shot and while you are bleeding out you reminisce over past Contracts. That's it, but Hitman Games aren't known for their intricate stories. The Trophy Lists for the Hitman HD collection Games are all pretty similar and actually quite good. You have to play every level and get a Silent Assassin Rating on the highest difficulty, you have to collect all weapons in the game and then you have some miscellaneous Trophies like finishing a level while killing exactly 47 people and a few level specific Trophies. I played the first two Missions and while they where fun I have to say that the game shows it's age pretty clearly. I played for about two hours and i got 6 of the 29 trophies for a D Rank. Current Completion down to 54.94%. Edited March 2, 2019 by ImBossy83
Popular Post DamagingRob
Game 1, Day 1: .hack//G.U. Last Recode Well, I wasn't sure if I would earn a trophy last night. Then I randomly got one nearly 2 hours in. This is four games rolled into one trophy list, so trophies may be few and far between. Lol. So, in this game, you follow the story of Sasuke Uch- err, I mean, Haseo. Same English VA. It starts with him joining the online game "The World" for the first time, and almost immediately having a couple of higher-leveled players offering to show him the ropes. Isn't that nice? Surely, nothing can go wrong in this scenario. ...Or not. After completing the first little dungeon and reaching the treasure chest, they reveal they're going to kill you. Before they are able to finish you off, though, a mystery man appears and oneshots them both. Fast forward 8 months, and now Haseo is an infamous PKK (player killer killer). And a lot of stuff apparently happened in those 8 months, which will hopefully be filled in. It's been a long time since I watched Roots, and I barely remember anything about it. But some research has told me it's not necessary to watch it, and it even spoils a plot point in the game. ? So I'll just continue playing the game. The gameplay is pretty fun, so far. It's somewhat similar to a Tales of or Star Ocean title, where enemies appear on the field, and when you fight them you're locked in a small arena. Pressing or holding for combo/charged attacks, blocking enemy attacks with , and using special skills by holding and pressing one of the face buttons. After hitting an enemy enough times, you may be able to perform a more powerful special attack. And certain battle actions will raise a morale bar with your party members, allowing you to perform an even more powerful attack when it's full. The few dungeons I've been to have been pretty simplistic. Either a map where you run around, killing enemies guarding chests. Or exploring a couple of floors to reach a chest at the bottom, sometimes needing to unlock a door to progress. Which just means spending some easily obtained Chim Chims. These creatures can be obtained by shaking trees, and riding in mine carts. The latter requiring you to press a button as they go by, which releases steam to push them off. There are loads of dungeons from the look of things, though. Similar to the original games, any combination of three words you enter on the dungeon generation screen creates a different one. The game does it's best to make you feel like you're on a computer. Logging out of The World takes you to a screen where you can save your game, look at and read message boards/emails, view many kinds of news articles with some having short animated video clips attached, and more. There's a lot of lore to be seen for those interested, and you may learn new words or specific dungeon names. So yeah, not much else to say. Though after only playing for 2 hours, and probably about half of that time spent looking at that computer stuff, I'm surprised I had this much to say already. Think it's safe to say I'll enjoy this one. Time played: 2 hours. Trophy progress: 1/52 for 1% and an E rank. PerryToxteth
22 hours ago, kingofbattle8174 said: I keep seeing that game around lately, but have been hesitant to grab it. How did you enjoy it overall? I enjoyed it more than I expected. The game is pretty polished from a driving mechanics/ settings feel and the "mud world" is really put together. There are definite times of frustration, especially early on when you are learning the nuances of the game. At some point, you will absolutely bury your truck in mud with no chance of budging an inch, which is infuriating. But as you play, you learn how to (mostly) avoid those situations and a very helpful hint, trees are your friends! Why? You can winch to them and pull yourself out of your jam. There's three modes of play; challenges, open sand box..err mud box levels, and multiplayer. - Challenges have a couple specific tasks to do on a linear route. There are three stars on each level, requiring some sort of parameter (i.e. drive at night) to unlock each challenge's trophy. Thankfully, you don't need to do it in one run, so you can work on two of the stars in your first try, then repeat to finish it up. Challenges are the best way to start playing the game because they act as a tutorial. - Open mud box levels. These involve big maps you need to explore, unlock garages, and haul logs to lumber mills to earn the level completion trophy. Each map will take about 2-4 hours to complete. Don't be scared by the Hardcore trophies, the gameplay isn't that different from Casual mode. Just more time-consuming bc you need a fuel truck for assistance bc you burn gas quickly in Hardcore mode. And you need a crane truck for loading logs. It's all task-oriented so it takes some time to achieve your goal, and it gets repetitive because you often need to make 2-3 trips to complete a lumber mill's log request. The environment and topography for the levels are great. One of the highlights of the game. The scenery looks great (especially the water) and I never found a part where I glitched in part of the scenery, which can occur in sand box games. You really need to do a good job of scanning the ground to see what looks the best to drive over. Sometimes, the road is actually the worst route bc it's five feet deep of muck. So often times, the shortest route won't be the quickest. Also, there's a learning curve on the trucks and which one work best for specific environments. - Multiplayer. Same thing as the levels, only you are playing alongside other people. There's three MP trophies and they're not that hard to get. You can just jump into people's games and fuel them up or repair their trucks, which they greatly appreciate. The platinum definitely feels like an accomplishment. There's hours of repetitive play, and it's not quick, fast-paced action. You rarely get your truck over 10 mph so it's a slow burn game. And there's a few frustrating trophies, but all are doable with some online guide help (I used True Achievements site). BUT, looking back, I'm glad I played it and my biggest 'tell' on a game is, would I play the sequel? And my answer for Spintires: Mudrunner is absolutely. - If you go for it, platinum will take 30+ hours, more or less. And feel free to use me as your Onstar emergency help button ? if you get stuck. The learning curve is steep in this one, so I can give out some helpful tips, and can even help with the mp trophies.
Popular Post PerryToxteth
KYC 9 Game No. 1 1979 Revolution: Black Friday First Thoughts: For most Americans, the topic of the Iranian Revolution brings to mind one thing - the hostages taken from the US Embassy and held captive for 444 days (if memory serves me correctly). This is actually one of my first political memories, as I remember praying for the hostages as a young kid. Of course, the Revolution was much more than that, especially to the Iranian people, who were trying to oust a repressive, tyrannical oligarch known as the Shah. In this game, you will partake in the Revolution and discover, there were a multitude of ideas on how to replace the despotic regime and that not all coincided with a fundamentalist-led, Islamic republic. So far, I've managed to put about 90 minutes into the game and am just over halfway through the story (according to the trophies I have earned). The game is pretty much a visual novel, with lots of dialogue and cut scenes. Every once in awhile, there is a QTE prompt as well as dialogue choices. In three parts, I have been able to wander around a limited environment and interact with people and items. I didn't know this game would be so short - I highly doubt a story run through will take more than three hours - so I'm glad I went in blind and am not using a walkthrough. The story revolves around Reza, a young man caught in the middle of friends having radical differences on how to overthrow the Shah. Along the way, you meet more characters who may or may not have the upmost intentions. Occasionally, you will flash forward to the future to a dire place with some pretty disturbing scenes. This game definitely isn't geared for the kiddos! I am highly enjoying it so far. It is history-heavy but doesn't make you pour over paragraph after paragraph of information (it's not 'Wikipedia - The Game'). What the developers did an outstanding job on is capturing and conveying the Iranian culture of the Western-generated 1970s (think disco, bell-bottoms) and the traditional Persian culture of ethnic foods, traditions, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to play this weekend but I'm really hoping I can get through the story before Monday. But so far, ??.
Popular Post Kevvik
And it begins... Game #1: Monster Monpiece Initial Impressions Time played: 11 hrs Most of my gameplay has been in bed feeling like crap so I was glad I chose a Vita game. I broke down and plugged Monster Monpiece into the list when it was pointed out to me that we were missing a couple of crude Vita titles... "C'mon, everybody's doing it!" - voodoo_eyes "You know you want to." - Crimson Idol Tower of Jello that I am, I conceded and here are the early thoughts. Monster Monpiece is a strategy/VN/RPG-really lite in a land where humans pissed off the main God, so it created monster girls. This drove back human arrogance but then the monsters got out of hand so the God made them sort of co-dependent in order to restore balance. Yeah, doesn't make much sense but that sort of goes with the territory here. Now girls go to an academy to become trainers with monster girl partners who live inside cards that you battle with. You create a deck of monster girls to fight others with who are doing the same thing. You do this on a 3x7 grid, containing a coloured 3x3 at each end, a neutral column down the middle and each players HQ at opposite ends. Destroy the HQ before your opponent does yours or you run out of cards. Straightforward. There's actually an interesting concept for a game here but it's surrounded by generic characters, pointless story and fan-service so it kinda gets lost even though it's the main driver behind the game. Each card/monster girl has a type (melee, ranged, healer and buffer) and individual stats for Atk, HP and MP. Each card also has a cost for deploying it that comes from your mana. This means you have to accumulate mana to put out stronger cards either by waiting turns or using skills related to your cards. Every turn after deployment, your chi I version of the monster girl moves forward on the grid until it attacks of is attacked. When it gets to the far end, it attacks the HQ doing 1 damage to it and then dying. There's a little bit of strategy for buffs if you play the same color card 2 or 3 in a row as well which the AI uses better than I do. You can develop a deck of up to 40 cards from booster packs of cards which you buy, find or win. Outside of slightly risqué fantasy art, not much fan service so far. Until you want to rank up your cards. Here is where it gets silly. You gain gold from each victory but you also gain "Rub points". Using these, you go into the deck prep area and choose "First Crush ❤️ Rub". This is designed for you to fully unlock the powers of your monster girls. You start a mini-game where you use the touch screen to rub your girls. Finding the right places, I'm sure you can imagine the most common places, you fill a meter. Occasionally you unlock a short mode called extreme love where you stroke the girl quickly using both front and back touch screens for a few seconds. You get the picture. If you get the meter completely filled in under a minute, the girl/card gets upgraded. Stats change, not always for the obviously better, and the higher grade the girl is, the less clothes she wears. If that sounds exciting to you, please go recruit female slaves in Valhalla Knights 3, you'll feel right at home. The girls say things in Japanese while you are rubbing them that I'm probably grateful that I don't understand. It's as juvenile as it sounds. The fact that the trainer you play who rubs the girls is female is clearly to defuse the perv aspect. In fact, I've only seen the odd possibly male opponent and even they are of a fairly ambiguous androgynous nature. I'm going to sum up and not even go into the actual storyline which is pretty vanilla and really only a bit of filler to get you to move from area to area battling to earn gold to buy cards and rub points to stroke your girls. There is an online mode that has both network and ad hoc support where you can get cards otherwise inaccessible during the game. I hammered through them in ad hoc for the trophies and got some cards that probably make the main game easier than intended. I won't miss this once I'm done but I wish the interesting germ of a strategy game had been the intent here and not an excuse for fan service. I've seen worse but it still just feels kind of unnecessary. A bit pervy but more of a juvenile nature than anything else. Valhalla Knights 3 was creepier in its execution of this. Popular Post Upendo_Vitani
Day 1, Game 1: Murdered Soul Suspect Time played ~ 2.5 hours Initial Impressions: So I did not have a chance to start playing this game on the first day of the event but I did get a few hours in today. I already have 25/49 trophies which is fun. Overall, I am liking the story a lot so far. It is a bit gloomy which is to be expected given the type of game that it is. That being said, there are a few glitches I am seeing pop up. The audio bugged out a lot on me, though thankfully when I am trying to talk to NPCs I can just skip the awkward silence and the characters staring at each other and get their little mini quests done. I am following a guide as I play, because I know I am not fond of playing this type of game for more than one playthrough. This works out so I can hear what they are saying when my game has no audio. So far, I'd give the game 6/10. Normally I really hate glitches and bugs but the fact that this game has a much better story than a lot of the crap that is out there kind of makes up for it. However, it is still kind of one of those, ehh type games where they're really nothing special. Edited March 3, 2019 by coldsphinx93
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #1 - Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 - Final Impression Time played: around 5 hours Trophies earned: 9/47 Probably won't play more of it today, so I'm wrapping this one up. Well, it's pretty much as I remember the 1st one being. Which to be fair is a fairly good start, as I thought that one was good. So far I haven't encountered a situation that forced me to grind. Gameplay is like pretty much any other game of the series. Meaning, turn-based combat, 3 different attacks (regular/hard/rush(, skills and HDD mode. The latter has been subpar as whenever I was able to activate it, I couldn't attack anymore. There are also EX moves, that deal more damage but also require you to have a specific amount of action points available. I'm still not a fan of the share system, as it just feels like a tacked on clusterfuck Same goes for the chirper (twitter reference, hah ) . Those supposedly have events tied to them, so you're kind of forced to keep going there. Now here's my issue with this. According to the "tutorial" those events will just show up, however the two events I've gotten I only got after actively speaking with the characters displayed in that area. Half-arsed tutorials as usual with these games. Regardless I've mostly enjoyed my time with this game. Nevertheless I'm also looking forward to switching games, as this title is one that I need to be alternating with other games in-between. That being said, it's currently a . Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #2 - Syndrome - Preview This one is a VR compatible title, but I'll be playing it without the peripheral since I don't have it . It's a first-person shooter/horror game sort of deal. The last time I played one of those was also during a KYC event, and it was called Dead Effect 2 , which was alright. Asset-wise it reminds me of it a bit to be honest. I know that the reviews for this game have been fairly unfavourable, but I'm hoping it's at least decent. I'm a bit hesitant though, as the plat rarity is very low for the type of list it presents (it seems to boild down to collect all the things and beat the game), so it might be an utterly broken mess. I'm going to end up streaming it though, so that way I at least end up sharing the potential agony of playing through it .
