cant drift need help

i dont get the drifting in this game seems to sensitive, most of time i lose speed and just run the back end around and just end up going into the grass/wall on the inside of the turn

Are you holding down square rather than just tapping it to start the drift? It helps to never let go of the accelerator too, just tap square once and it'll start drifting.

Keep the R2 held down and tap square continuously. It will cause the game to give you a ton of short drifts but the net result will be plenty to clear the gold ranks with ease.

I find that a tap of the square button with r2 held down works best on big corners. Drifting in this game seems to be all about speed. If you are going too slow you wont drift.

 

If you are talking about last episodes drift challenge about 450/500 score on the first lap and you should do it easily as your second lap seems to be quicker. May's car (trophy challenge) was the more difficult of the three.

Once you start drifting, balance your car with analog buttons. Before l realized this, l was hardly wrapping enough points to get a gold medal, now l wrap up what l need for gold in just from a single turn. Once you realize how to drift, it's literally easiest and most generous game to drift.

Just want to thank everyone in this thread, was struggling to get silver on all of the drifts but tapping square really does work wonders!

I am trying to get the Scotch Mist trophy for drift 1050 meters in Sliding and Gliding, but I cannot for the life of me figure out which event that is. I've done way over 1050 meters drifting in every single drift challenge in that episode, but the trophy isn't popping.
