Digital Save Wont Work On Disc Version?!

5 posts in this topic

So I've gotten myself this game on disc so I can play the game without the patches as heard it's easier to level up on it.

Loaded it up and told me that I don't have a save on the game and gotta start from the beginning.

Anyone else had that problem?!

It's one of three things:

1: The devs coded the game so the saves aren't backwards compatible between the retail and digital versions, which wouldn't surprise me since it's a common practice.

2: The saves are patched, thus the game won't recognise them unless you install the latest update.

3: The digital version came from a store in a different region to the retail copy.

I'm sure it's no.2. Not many (if any) games will let you play an unpatched game with a save made from a later version.

I've personally never encountered no.1, except Jimmie Johnson on the PS3, but they have different trophy lists...so different save files.
