And they are both backward-compatible. So if you have an Xbox 360 or Xbox One, or think you might someday add one to your console collection, now's your chance to get a couple of games for FREE. (Posted this as a status update earlier but it might get more visibility here.) Adding note based on some feedback here: The games are free, however-- If you get either game through an Xbox One or the web page, then you must have a payment method associated with your Xbox Live account. If you get them through an Xbox 360, then you do not have to have a payment method associated with your Xbox Live account. There's also a note on the FAQ page that "The account holder must be 18 years old or older to purchase from the web", but the page has some outdated information so I don't know if it the age restriction is still in place. Also, I can only confirm this applies to the U.S. marketplace, but I assume it's the same in all markets where Crackdown 2 has just been made backward compatible. Yeah, i can confirm that. Hopefully my CC is currently empty and can be removed after purchasing them anyway. DizzyDavidson Posted March 10, 2019 Share Posted March 10, 2019 Yeah it's a little weird it requires a CC to "purchase" a FREE game. I used a prepaid card both times (that way I don't have a problem with my info being on there) when Crackdown 1 and Crackdown 2 became free. Actually it wouldn't accept my card first time I tried getting C1 but now it did accept the same card with C2.
