Most boring platinum that you forced yourself to get

So far it's definitely God of War.

one of the reasons i have not platted it yet! I can agree with this but i have not got the platinum yet.

None of the games i have got the platinum i hated really but the game that began to become a chore getting the plat was Final Fantasy X HD only because maxing out every node in the Sphere Grid was painfully boring, i would say worse than the "Jack of All Trades" trophy from Killzone Shadowfall. Only thing that made me get that platinum was the fact i could grind it out on the go with the PS Vita version. I think if it was not cross-save with PS Vita i would have given up on that platinum a long time ago.

Earth's Dawn, was convinced to try it since I got into 2D hack and slash games but it was bad and I try to have as many games incomplete as possible.

So not recommending? ? How long did it take you? Now that PS Now became available here in Finland that game caught my eye while skimming through the list yesterday as I too love 2D hack and slash. Was really close to boot it up but checked some videos on youtube and the animation seemed a bit too hilarious...ly simple.

Lords of the Fallen

It's by far the worst Soulsclone, the Framerate was horrible and the whole gameplay was so goddamn weak (just like the world, the story,, enemies, bosses, the main and all other characters)... it is the only plat I did for a game that I truly hate (but I started the game and got some trophies, so yeah...)

even though I have games on my list like little adventures on the prairie (which was really bad but it's over fast), lords of the fallen is the worst game I've ever played

Grand Theft Auto V.

I think that the game is fantastic especially the story mode but the online grind was a pain, doing the same missions again and again. It was particularly hard for me because all of my friends were playing the game on PS4 but I needed to platinum the PS3 version.

It wernt as bad of a grind as the red dead games but i see your point. There was plenty if variety to keep it intresting. I thought it was more frustrating than boring. The 5 set tennis match was a pain because people just quit cos it takes a while and unless you want the trophy who wants to play tennis on gta lol

Little Dragons Caffe and STAR OCEAN: INTEGRITY AND FAITHLESSNESS, these two has the most frustrating plat

Agreed on Little Dragons Café. I'm pretty sure I tripled my playtime getting those last few recipes and it was just so utterly dull. I was too stubborn to just quit though. ?

It was fine for a few hours but you're limited to 2 weapon types at the beginning. Eventually you'll unlock 2 or 3 more. They all have a big issue that they have a limited set of attacks. That combined with the only about 10 different kinds of enemies to fight was boring. As well, about a third of the game was simply running to the next destination. The platinum sucks because it adds on about 10-20 hours of grinding. Give it a go if your don't care about the platinum and save yourself some time and skip the story, it's basic aliens invade Earth and humans must defend it story. The lack of animations and music for half the game is another gripe from me.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture for me as well.

I love these types of games when done well, Déraciné is an example of why I keep trying out games like this. Man I love that game... but we’re talking about the boring and lame Rapture.

technically great graphics, but artistically one of the most bland games I’ve ever played visually. The only thing that really impressed me, was the rain. And that was limited to the trailer park. :/

the “gameplay” is literally nonexistent. So that leaves you playing for story, and while it was interesting to me the way in which it’s told is garbage. Bits had pieces, strewn about so you have to guess the order things happen based on dialog. It’s just such a tedious way to experience a story.

The trophies are the worst. Literally stand here for x minutes. Walk in a door x times. “Interaction” (press button where 9/10 times it does nothing) with boring radios. “Look” at maps, train numbers, books... literally just point the camera at them. No actual interactions to be had. It really shows how little GAME is in the game. Don’t get me started on the stupid path related trophies.

And good Yevon, that “running” speed. The walking is bad enough, but the running is soooo slow. And you go even slower inside places. And the areas are soooo large, but there isn’t a point to exploring. You could say plot, but if you miss some them it’s even harder to piece it together. Again, a horrible way to deliver plot in a game which aims to only give a narrative.

the only thing I can say that was truly great was the music. (Besides the rain)

Maybe standing around as particle effects swirl around would be more compelling to experience in VR, but we’ll never know. The game needed actual interactions. Déraciné works because it has a linear plot and puzzles. Simple puzzles, but it has a game in there. And it does the characters really well. And if you explore you can learn more about the characters beyond the main plot cutscenes. I cried multiple times, and was pretty shaken at one point, but struggled to care at all in Rapture.

Rapture is wasted potential, but above all a horribly boring game. And one of the worst trophy lists ever made.

One that comes to mind for me right now is Disney Universe. I learned a valuable lesson from it though: do not buy and plan to platinum games just because the characters are adorable! But I was suckered in because there was a Lion King world and I could dress up as Simba. The gameplay was just so boring and had to replay levels several times for collectibles and such.

Oh man, I like the game but them making you max every. Single. Costume. Was evil. You never make progress on it either. You max one, but you get a costume from beating the world. You’ll always be behind. So you have to grind it out. Such a boring plat. Especially since every costume plays the same. If they at least had different abilities or something it wouldn’t have been sooo tedious.

Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star

I like Visual Novels and JRPGs and from what I read before I thought it was a JRPG with a bunch of story-sequences but the ratio between gameplay-segments and story-segments was more in favor of the latter. Spend about 50 hours with the game and it feels like only 10 to 15 were spend with actual gameplay and the rest was spend with reading dialogs. It wouldn't be that bad if the story was at least engaging but there was nothing that really piqued my interest and most of the dialogs just felt like filler content.

god i forgot about that game, its been so long. i mean there's been a lot of games i slogged through to get the platinum, with games i enjoyed but other parts of the games i didn't but had to spend a lot of time doing, but man, that game had nothing memorable for me and was pretty painful playing. people on the gamefaqs vita boards praised it up and down. there has been a ton of games that got a lot of praise over there and i liked/loved a lot of them, but that game was painful for me.

Horizon: Zero Dawn. The game is terrible, I stopped caring very quickly and I still need to do another playthrough.

I didn´t liked the game either, but I´d suggest you still go for it.

Once you finish the story, the cleaning up is rather easy. specially with all the upgrades.

Don´t bother with difficulty and you´ll have a plat very soon

It's honestly a toss-up between Final Fantasy XIII-2 (which I enjoyed quite well) and Atelier Rorona (which I didn't).

The worst FF XIII-2 trophy was the casino coin achievement by far.  I don't know why manual button presses affected the RNG so much more favorably than auto mode.  I also remember not having a rubber band handy for my controller.  I ended up pinning my controller between the wall and my bed, then falling asleep.  I think I got the trophy the second night I tried this, ugh.

Atelier Rorona required too many playthroughs to unlock each character end.  I had save files after every mission, but I couldn't remember where some characters got recruited.  I also remember getting frustrated multiple times when I thought I did the right thing to unlock a specific ending, but either I missed something or something glitched.

I got Everybody's gone to the rapture on my backlog for ages. Guess it's going to stay there for a while longer. So many people vote for that game that it scares me ?.

For me the game Plantet of the apes the last frontier was an actually brainfuck. It took forever to 100% that.

Time and Eternity

I am not sure why I just couldn't get into this game as I love every game I platinum and it wasn't a difficult platinum too, but it felt brutal towards the end going for platinum. Everything felt so repetitive with the gameplay, got annoyed by the harem dragon, cliché characters, stiff controls and animation.

I play alot of JRPGs and I'm used to all these things by now but I don't know, maybe I was going through some hormonal changes or wasn't feeling emotionally well but I was so glad to get this over with! ?
