Popular Post griffthedragoon
Announcements Seeking Banner for this thread. Help with tips on finding items or grinding GRP or Gold Need confirmation if you can still download the DLC quest with the servers being down Confirmed: Patches (dlc) are stored on the Sony Servers. So as long as they are up you will be able to download these patches. Thus making this game platinum able with the right mind set and dedication. As you can see in the title this is a thread to help with people who still want to play this game but due to the servers shutting down we know have to solo everything.I will be adding to this from time to time and giving tips to those who want it.Warning: This is not some walk in the park this game will make demons souls and games like it look easy. I kid you not.For starters I would not worry about what class to play as for your story play thru as there will be 2. I would highly recommend that you play spear and only spear as this is the class that build up your Def while building up your damage and probably your only shot at a legit respected plat. I will give links for spear building guides later. Solo Class (Best Chance) The best place I found for a guide on spear and how to build and what skills to learn are here. http://whiteknightchronicles.neoseeker.com/wiki/Class_Guide:_SpearNow there are some things i would change on it mostly what stats to go for. Vit>Dex>Agi>Spr>HP>MP>Str>Int. Vit and Dex are where all your damage comes from and also your Melee Def from Vit. Agi will help with blocking and dodging and over all survivability. Spr (spirit) helps with RES and healing power (helps a lot) and since this is a solo play thru i also put spr higher the hp and mp so you can survive a little easier. Then HP and MP since HP comes really easy i just put it here but you want MP cause spear can generate 2 AC (action chips) for 20 MP which is a life savor when it comes to bosses and grinding items. Str and Int are the only things you will never need to build seeing as spear does not benefit from these stats at all.The link above also gives you the best armor for the class at gr 10 and higher. Most armor at gr 9 and down does not really give that good of stats so any armor at that lvl and gr will do. if you want to you can try and make Georama Armor but at pre gr 10 it is usally not worth it and really spendy. and you will need every coin you can spare for the 10 million trophy. Trophies Platinum Crown (Platinum) This will be your last trophy so put it at the end of the tunnel and start walking. Item Dabbler This will not be to hard to get. Just have 100 Items Materials and Potions[mana, charge, and healing] Will probably pop towards the end of your first play through Item Collector Same as above but have 300 will most likely pop around gr 8 to gr 10 Item Maniac Collect 600 Items this will not pop till after gr 12 once you hit gr 12 just harvest every node you find. Also bind all items you can at the binding post that is 20 to 30 right there plus those count towards the binding trophy Equipment Dabbler Collect 50 pieces of armor/weapons/accessories you should get this around the city of Greede or a little later. If not then for sure by the end of play through one Equipment Collector Collect 200 pieces of armor/weapons/accessories this will be a little tougher to get the then other since you may not get it till about gr 8 or so. I would wait to get this one since the main priority is to get to the 10 million gold trophy before you start buying items Equipment Maniac Collect 500 pieces of armor/weapons/accessories Definitely bind all of the accessories [this is about 80 of them] and buy all the accessories you can in game. This will take out a good chunk of them and make it alittle easier for you to get this trophy. Would still wait on this one till after you get to your 10 million gold trophy Bronze Star Learn entire set of Skills This requires you to get your Avatar to learn one set of skills.... This will NOT work for any of the story characters. In the skill tree there are 8 different skills that you can choose from... After maxing out just one of these skills you will receive this trophy and a star will appear next to the skill name... I suggest focusing on only 2 skill sets for your first play through until your first rebirth... this will ensure that you will be able to master a skill before reaching level 40Receiving this trophy is not directly related to your character build and doesn't matter what skills you choose just so long as you get one of the 8 skills to 100% Thanks to piggie_pie for the tip Gold Star Learn all skills You do not need to know all of them at once. Once you learn an entire set of skills a star will pop up on your skills tree. After you max out your level [which is 50] you will preform a Rebirth. You do this in the abandoned town [name is escaping me right now] next to Dogma Rift. once you rebirth [i will do no more than 5 but you can do it all in 4, I say 5 because it gives you a redo if you mess up and save kinda thing. But you will only get the bonus 40 SP with the first 4 rebirths any after that is cause you need to re-spec.] you will start at level 35 and get an extra 40 SP to use plus the SP you would have at level 35. There are two effective ways of rebirthing. One at gr 7 with the quest Sprog Cleaning and gr10 with Sprog Cleaning 2. These are found in the same area as The Lost Children. This is by far the best and fastest way to get this trophy. If you can help it wait till gr 10 to go for this trophy. But if you want to get it out of the way for for it at gr 7 and dont worry about it after that. the choice is yours. Bronze Horns Kill 100 Monsters This will pop with in your first play through with no trouble at all. Silver Horns Kill 3000 Monsters This will pop while you are questing through out the game. Most likely it will pop when you are doing your rebirths for your Gold Star. Gold Horns Kill 10,000 Monsters You will get this around gr 10 or gr 11if you don't get it while going for your Gold Star just keep grinding out Sprog Cleaning 2 and selling whatever you get over 100 items of that way you will be getting some much needed cash which is the main goal in this game. Mercenary Badge Get one "S" rank on any quest Simple and straight forward. On the earlier quest it is really hard not to get an "S" on a quest but some tips for you if you struggle. TIME!!! make it as fast as possible under 15 min is key to getting an "S" at the lower GR quest. Professional Badge Get 20 "S" ranks on quest This will be a little tougher then the first as when you start to get into the higher GR quest you need to start doing the Sub quest to get more points while also keeping it under a set time. Perfectionist's Badge Get 50 "S" rank quests Sounds easy but it is not. NEED MORE INFO ON IF YOU CAN GET THE DLC QUEST OR NOT!!! Here is a link to the Neoseekers wiki where they have all the quest and how to get an "S" rank in them. http://whiteknightchronicles.neoseeker.com/wiki/Main_Page Toadstone Bind 50 Items/Weapons/Armor/Accessories (See Phibianacci's Diamond) Anura's Ruby Bind 200 Items/Weapons/Armor/Accessories (See Phibianacci's Diamond) Phibianacci's Diamond Bind 450 Items/Weapons/Armor/Accessories This is said to be the most vexing trophy in this list.Do NOT work on this trophy until you have gotten the Gold Purse trophy otherwise you will be doing yourself a disfavor by spending the money needed to gain that trophy...The best way to obtain this trophy is to be sure you are working on the items needed to bind while simultaneously working on getting the 10 million guilder for the Gold Purse trophy. As you level up in Guild Rank you will need to work on upgrading your armor and weapons making sure you also have elemental weapons... in doing so you will gain a diverse amount of binding items and money from quests... after you advance enough to gain the 10 million guilder trophy you should attempt the 450 binds needed to gain the Phibianacci's Diamond. Thank you Piggie_Pie for the tip Bronze Medal Get Guild Rank 4 Once you unlock Best Served Cold AKA Big Red this is probably the best way to get Guild Rank Points. It is super repetitive but it is the best way to get GR points in the game. Silver Medal Get GR 8 Same as Bronze Medal just use Big Red 2 at gr 7 to get guild points. If it gets repetitive try Only Game in Town in Greede or Home of the Knave in Dogma Rift as these are good change of pacers. But above all else go for Materials over points as survivability is priority number one with this game. If you cant survive there is no point of grinding GR points. Gold Medal Reach GR 12 Again same as the above quest just 3rd versions of them here is a list of guild points you will needed in order to GR up Guild Rank Points Required Cumulative Points Required1 0 02 5,000 5,0003 14,000 19,0004 28,000 47,0005 55,000 102,0006 84,000 186,0007 134,000 320,0008 580,000 900,0009 1,250,000 2,150,00010 3,620,000 5,770,00011 6,900,000 12,670,00012 9,000,000 21,670,00013 10,000,000 31,670,00014 11,000,000 42,670,00015 12,000,000 54,670,000 Bronze Coin Purse Get 100,000 Gold This you may not get till after you hit about gr 5 or 6 maybe even later. I would grind only and only when you have your armor for that gr at max since you want survivability as priority number 1. Once you do grind out money any quest will do. Just at the end sell whatever items you don't need, keep the rares and items you will need for materials. Silver Coin Purse Get 1,000,000 Gold Same as the Bronze just a lot more. Same principles apply as armor and weapons once you have those grind out money. Gold Coin Purse Get 10,000,000 Gold There are a few quest that can help make this easier. Mainly any gr12 quest will do just sell the gems you get (once you have a lot of them) they sell for 1900 on gems and 1400 on lvl10 pearls. BR3 is best for getting the lvl 10 pearls it will not drop lvl 1 gems. BR3 even though it is terrible it is probably the best way for you to get this trophy. Also if you can beat any gr 12 quest go for it. Once you have this trophy start working on your binds and any other trophy that is left over. I would try not to buy to many items as this will eat a lot of our money up. If you can farm an item farm it. Money is precious. **I will be putting trophies on here with tips on how to get them and the best places to grind Guild Points (GP) and Guilder (currency). The best quest to farm Items for better gear (ones that are solo-able) **I am also going to be asking other who have plated this game to hep out with this. It will make this easier and with more info we will be able to put the middle finger to D3 for shutting down our servers.**Work in progress Edited June 27, 2013 by griffthedragoon

GamepartnersTV
Hey... Can I use this thread to talk about the second game as well? Yeah I could talk about how I am one trophy away but this is what I'm not here to do.... I focused on using the bow while focusing. in my agility stat. This class I recommend is for people who want to heal themselves without relying on potions. With the focus on agility ... You could stay in the fight for awhile and be able to help your party member if they fall. For those who went for the long sword... I suggest finding equipment that gives strength bonus of you like dealing damage rather than healing.... Some Monsters in the game have "break" points in which should be hit first in order to increase the drops of the enemies as such.

griffthedragoon
Do WKC 1 trophies pop in WKC 2? I vaguely recall the 1st game being included with the 2nd. WKC1 on WKC2 disc do not pop WKC1 trophies. the game is just remastered with WKC2 gameplay. For WKC1 trophies you play WKC1 same for 2. Hey... greenzsaber
I started the series when I heard about the shutdown and managed to come out with both platinums. I don't know how much help I'll be since I avoided soloing anything unless it was rebirthing, but I'll see what I can do. The biggest question mark here is: can you still access the DLC quests (such as Trail Blazer, Troll Treasure, etc) now that the servers are down? If yes, it's still doable, but if not, you might as well forget it. Supposedly, the 50 S ranks becomes one of the hardest trophies to get if you don't have the DLC quests as there are only 51 quests without it, which means you'll be stuck having to solo the likes of King of Dragons III, and some are very luck-driven like Strike like the Wind and Take your Lumps. Just a few notes about some of the trophies - The equipment collector trophy can actually be gotten as early as NG+, as that is where mine popped. You'd have to buy quite a bit of stuff from the stores though to make it happen. - Likewise the equipment maniac trophy, which most people tend to save for last, can actually be gotten as early as GR10. You'll need to bind a lot of stuff then buy one of everything from the stores offline however. - Quest items like the carnations and ripe fruits, count towards the Item trophies. Most people get Item Maniac around GR10 provided they've been harvesting and playing different quests. I think what will need to be done here is to compile a list of quests that can be reasonably soloed at a certain GR and any ideal equipments for that GR that don't take too much hassle (i.e. don't require you to kill boss monsters multiple times) to bind and upgrade at that GR. Something like GR9 Equipments: Geist Pike (Dragonfly+5 and Fire Dragon Horn) Quests to run: Dragon's Heat II (break the Fire Dragon's tail until it drops a horn) If a quest does require you to kill a boss, you'd probably need to include an equipment and inventory setup as well as tactics, as you really need to know what you're doing if you're doing the solo route, since bosses can be quite unforgiving with that knockdown.
Ao_Iconoclast
Is it still platinumable even after the servers close?
CompSci88
Is it still platinumable even after the servers close? If you have logged in before the sever terminated, yes you can obtain the plat offline. However, even with that it's still extremely hard. I'd say it's even harder than Star Ocean 4 or Demon's Souls without glitches. If you haven't logged in a single time when the server was up, then it's impossible to plat this offline.

Actually this should have been mentioned in the first post, since the 50 S ranks are impossible to get solo if you don't have the DLC quests. The way the thread is done may make the impression that's possible. As for this being harder solo then SO4, I have to agree, since both games aren't to hard, but are a grind fest.. as for Demon's Souls, I wouldn't say it's harder, since DS isn't hard because of the grind (Yes, it may be a pain to get the Pure Bladestone solo for some, but the difficulty to plat don't come from that, but yes from the game itself). PS:I Plat both EU and US versions of DS, and had to grind the Pure Bladestone in both since no one would give me one, but in both games I end up getting 2 Pure Bladestone drops in 3 or 4 hours (yes I was that lucky..), so my sense of difficulty regarding to the grind on that game may be a bit different from others... and my main difficulty on it was the Penetrator in NG+++ in the US game (the 1st of the 2 I played, then I learned a few things when doing the EU version, that 2nd platinum felt like a bad joke..) LordIchikyo
If someone need the bind list for WKC1 and 2 in a single document, here's my contribution That way, if you keep prepared well for WKC2 as well if you are intended to do it too http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/49899/t1672014-bindlist-enhancing-pre-800-binds-guide/
Han_the_Dragon
Just noticed you were asking for tips on how to grind gold solo, then from my experience Sprog Cleaning 2 doing the EXP grinding loop. This loop with a wind elemental spear, Sonic Javelin and enough power to do about 400 can kill everything in 1 hit, and allow to do a run in about 7 minutes. High Defense is useful to allow a full run without healing, and some kind of sleep protecting equipments (like the glasses if the armor used doesn't have this protection). The loop I usually do is just on the starting floor, and killing the lizards to get the key item to spawn the spiders in the 1st spot, close to the start. Per run this gives about 13k gold for the kills, plus 7-10k gold for selling the drops (of a single run). The only thing better then this is running BR3 if you are able to do it in 3-4 minutes, but to be able to run BR3 this fast you need to be GR14 (that's the earlier you can get final gear for the Spear class), while the Sprog Cleaning can be done that quickly at about GR11 (I was doing it at GR12, but wasn't wearing the chest piece, and was hitting for 600 damage, taking 1 damage per hit).

A little hard for me since I dont have a ps3 anymore (sold it cause i moved to china) I remembered that i could access the dlc quests offline but i'm not sure if its only in the second game. As long as you have the guild rank for the quest (for example quibble with kibbles 2 need guild rank 26) or access of the area in story mode (such as Balastor Plain).... I think it could work.
