The game is crashing and sometimes corrupt saves.

This game has crashed a lot and I'm pretty sure it's from having too many towers and balloons on the screen at the same time. Sometimes after I reboot the game after a crash my save will be corrupted. Thankfully the PS4 automatically creates back up saves so I don't have to worry about losing anything but this game has corrupted my save file twice now and has crashed over 15 times now within a week and a half time of playing. I'm using a PS4 pro. Is this happening to anyone else?

yes this will happen if u play too long and have too many towers on the map. its how the game has always been, even on pc. i recommend not using many towers, and if you're going for the plat, u dont need many towers to complete all the maps

This happened to me quite a bit once I got to rounds after 100 and my speed was set to fast. You can stretch the game a bit more by setting the speed back to normal. 

 

Yes the game did corrupt my save file but only the one time I mentioned in another thread. It was a great decision to have the game keep a back up save from the round before because the proclivity to crash at those later rounds, which isn't a system issue it happens quite often on computers too, is worrisome. I started only going to about 100 before allowing the waves to finish me off.

Super late to the party but the game is on sale now. Does anyone know how this runs on a PS5? I would imagine with the better processing power and SSD amongst other things this would handle more balloons and monkeys plus effects on screen at one time
