Shiv Doors during Chapter Select

I'm doing my second run of the game right now on Survivor +, and getting all of the collectibles along the way.  I'm concerned about getting all of the shiv doors on this difficulty.  I feel like I should be preserving as many shivs as I can, to stealth my way through most of the game.

 

My question is: I have another save file where I completed the game on Normal difficulty.  Can I use chapter select there, and get all of the shiv doors for the trophy?  Will it make a difference if I split the collectibles across 2 different save files?

Noticed no one responded, so I will. They do save between New Game+, but if you start a new game, they don't. I'm not sure if the shiv doors will work for Chapter Select, but I'd just play a New Game+ on an easier difficulty, if Chapter Select doesn't pop the trophy.

I mopped up all collectibles earlier today using chapter select and I had no problems, I also had 4 save files and that didn't cause any problems.

 

So as far as I can tell, collecting anything you missed using chapter select works just fine.

You should be fine. I had no problem doing it with chapter select personally. I missed the final two shiv doors during my original run through the game on Easy and I missed the one in the Firefly Lab for a second time on Grounded cos I didn't have enough parts to craft a shiv. Went back and opened that one via chapter select afterwards and it popped with no trouble.
