Popular Post DEI2EK
Shantae 5 is officially titled Shantae and the Seven Sirens, developer WayForward announced. The game, which is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and Apple Arcade, promises to be “Shantae’s biggest adventure yet” with “new locations, abilities, and friends.” A release date has yet to be announced. Having previously announced the next game in the Shantae series back in March, independent game studio WayForward is proud to reveal the official title for the hotly anticipated action-adventure-platformer: Shantae and the Seven Sirens. Formerly referred to as Shantae 5, Shantae and the Seven Sirens sends the belly-dancing, hair-whipping, half-genie hero to a tropical island where Shantae and her friends encounter other Half-Genie allies, but they soon learn there’s trouble in paradise. As Shantae gets caught up in the island’s sinister secrets, she’ll use all-new dance abilities and instant-transformation Fusion Magic to explore the nonlinear, interconnected world where she’ll visit multiple towns, overcome treacherous labyrinths, and battle dastardly bosses. The game also features a new collectible card system that grants players the freedom to augment Shantae’s powers to suit their own style of play. Releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Apple Arcade, Shantae and the Seven Sirens is the fifth entry in the Shantae series, which originally debuted on Game Boy Color in 2002. Additional information about the game, including the distribution, pricing, and release date, will be announced as it becomes available. Key Features Explore an interconnected world using new Fusion Magic creature transformations, including a newt and other aquatic forms! 4K-resolution hand-painted visuals (on 4K devices only)! Shadiochao
Hope it's closer to Pirate's Curse than Half-Genie Hero It was better in literally every aspect
Jadez-Zangetsu
Freaking hyped! Enjoyed Half-Genie Hero, but hoping it will be more akin to Pirate's Curse.
ExHaseo
Hype. I really hope they continue with the Half-Genie Hero style.
majob
So is it a remake of Pirate's curse or a new game altogether I wonder
Durandal
This is a such a nice surprise. I played the last game for a good long time and like the art and the gameplay. Hopefully there aren't too many speed runs this time. Still need to do all the ones from the Ultimate Edition. It sure looks like this year will have a few great platform games for me in store. First the Hollow Knight sequel then Trine 4 and now this. Awesome! Edited March 26, 2019 by Durandal
starcrunch061
Played Risky's Revenge and loved it. Played Pirate's Curse, and thought it was OK. Heard mixed things about 1/2 Genie Hero, and skipped it.

EcoShifter
"Shantae's biggest adventure yet" - If true, that would be magnificent, as ½ Genie Hero and especially Pirate's Curse good sized adventures themselves, especially the latter. Both are also great games, including the former when you factor in the DLCs. Looking very forward to the Seven Sirens either way since Shantae games are always lovely, fun, and engaging. Only thing that doesn't look good is the introduction of a card system. Don't like that concept, unless it's handled in a really clever way. (Character models need a bit more graphical polish too, but I assume that'll be improved?)

Mouton33
i love the last game they have made , but the last's speed run they have added are... the hell to win... I hope it's same easy speed run the Shantae platinum without speed run dlc , because the dlc speed run on Shantae are always hard and the new coming are more hard before the last , and more and more... But it's one very cool game to play.

EcoShifter
Most things seem to look as they should, including that good looking second boss fight, and the game looks faster paced than 1/2 Hero. However, i'm not liking the new boss music, varied dance animations didn't make a comeback, and the dialogue portraits don't seem to vary as often mid-conversation. FlareZero
I will pick this one for sure, 1/2 genie was really good.

And before The Last of Us Part II, which isn't a problem for me personally whatsoever but for others. Seriously? ??... Well, I don't expect this game to sell great and break series milestones now, despite even going back to its roots. Also, pretty great for a "teaser" trailer ?. That leaves Dying Light 2. I really, really hope it doesn't come out in May at all. Edited March 28, 2020 by EcoShifter

That leaves Dying Light 2. I seriously, seriously hope it doesn't come out in May at all. It says OUT NOW on apple arcade, guessing they paid for 2 months exclusivity. Apple Arcade has a free month trial, so if anyone has access to a Apple device or a Apple TV dongle, you can literally play this for free right now I'm tempted but got enough games on my plate at the moment!
