Dokusha
Shadowgate is notorious for how easily you can die in all sorts of horrible ways. I’m thinking this would be the DARK SOULS OF ADVENTURE GAMES if you were to try reaching the platinum without a guide. What do you guys think about the trophy list? fbdbh
I played it on PC and can confirm that you'll die instantly. Eh, a guide will help you through it, and fairly quickly, but since you need to die a lot of different ways, etc., just go in blind for a few runs to get some thrills before you turn off your brain for a shiny plat. It's worth it. Excellent atmosphere.
exsentry
I take it this is a remake of the NES version?
yowzagabowza
This is not a list for me. There is an insane amount of collectibles and like fifty playthroughs. I remember playing shadowgate as a little kid with my aunt. The nostalgia is not strong enough for me to torture myself with this.

AK-1138
Eh, I hate it when they turn adventure games into grindy click-on-everything slogs. Make the trophies fit the gameplay, not the other way around. I'll pass.
AzureWrathHal
The game is what...30 years old now? Assuming it's a port of the PC remake you could have the list done in a few hours with a guide. I'm personally excited to see if my memory holds up from helping my ma get through the NES version when I was little.
starcrunch061
I love playing Shadowgate, so I'll be happy to give this a whirl. Unless there is something magically difficult in the remake, this should be an easy plat.
Guardian_owl
That's odd considering there is already a version of Shadowgate on PS4 as a part of the 8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I for $8. So if want to take it for a whirl with the style of graphics you remember, you might be better off with that. No plat though, just 100%. How exactly is that odd? This is the remake, that is the 8-bit original. Edit: I had quoted the complete post at that point of time. The last two sentences in that post were added in afterwards. Shipwreck24273
Been a loooong time since I played this on the NES. Didn’t know there was a PC remake... Is it very different from the NES original?

Killbomb
Played this on Steam when it came out in 2014 and while the trophies are technically easy, they're tedious. Here's an achievement guide for the Steam version. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=958654091
Cyndrie
Completing the game in Master ironman mode, with no hints, following the walkthrough that is less than 500 steps will get you 25 trophies in one play through. Having just done it myself, difficulty trophies stack. Edited April 12, 2019 by Cyndrie
