It's quite sad that this is even something threadworthy. Besides it's only 29 trophies anyway, that's hardly a 'full list'.

So, okay, don't give the games fucking platinum lists. Make them 100% non-plat lists. He's helped devalue this system so much that a game having 29 trophies is somehow noteworthy and considered a "full list"? God how I miss 2013.

Why would it make anybody happy? This one game with a seemingly normal trophy list doesn't undo the dozens of trash ones that continue to get pumped out. There were always games with normal lists out there.

 

If ordinary lists is going to be a trend with Ratalaika going forward then good. Somehow I doubt that's going to be the case, so maybe I'll hold off on patting them on the back for doing something literally no other publisher has had an issue with.

Like genuine congratulations to people for completing Super Meat Boy or Orcs Must Die, proud of you, and you get respect, but when you start becoming an elitist with how OTHER people play their games and what trophy lists that you're not even interested in become a place you put people on blast then it becomes a problem. 

 

You don't like the trophies, that's fine. But don't seek out confrontation about it with people who do.

Would you say the same about Battlefield V? Sure, It's a AAA release from EA but there are less trophies for that game over this! Then there's 1185 vs. 1230 trophy points + 2nd cross-buy trophy stack with the Vita version = 2460 trophy points against a game that costs 7 or 8 times more than a 14.95 AUD Ratalaika game that is 2-3 hours long competing with a game that's minimum 30 hours to earn the platinum for! I'd pick the trophy title "Platinum Sister" over "World War Two Hero" anyday! Now don't make me start comparing Midnight Deluxe with the base game trophy list for Destiny 2...

Difference is Battlefield 1's trophy list actually makes you experience most of the game, and the trophies aren't just handed out like free candy. It's all contextual. A 20 trophy list can require much more work than a 29 trophy list, for example, but considering who the dev of this game is...

Isn't that something to be proud of? The games you complete yourself? I'm happy with my Monster hunter world and Evil within platinums for instance. 

Thanks for the compliment I guess, but how many people really look that deep? They see the plat count/completion % in your trophy card and that's generally about as far as they'll go. Ratalaika and the like have caused trophy inflation - whereas something like 100 plats may have once been a big milestone, with the amount of trophy bait thrown out there it's basically just common place, and who has time to go through a 100 game trophy list checking?

Well yeah. Look at how many of the recent trophy lists on this site belong to them.

 

Zerotopian Invasion, Iron Snout, Super Weekend Mode, Metagal.

These are just lists that have shown up in the last week or two.

 

All with 6 stacks each, intentionally crafted to take as little time as possible using the excuse that they were too inept to fully test the games they're putting out. It's exploiting the trophy system for a quick cashgrab. They must be literally salivating at the idea of adding PS5 stacks to their games.

 

It's all the exposure that's really getting to me. I'm constantly seeing their stacks on the homepage, the newest thread list is always full of people whoring out platinum guides that are more linear than Super Mario Bros 1-1, and dealers like the OP are having competitions to get people hooked on samples with the promise of getting more for free. I just don't want to be constantly reminded about this shameless behaviour. Visual novels weren't this invasive with their easy lists.

I gotta say it's nice to see silver and bronze trophies, that's for sure. Still for future reference the number of bronze trophies should be swapped with the silver ones (Games should have more bronze than silver trophies, and more silver than gold ones).

 

Still I have a feeling there's going to still be 6 separate lists for this game (Instead of a much needed 1 list for all regions and platforms), which honestly isn't improving much if this game takes less than 2 hours to get a platinum for. If they're cranking out games so rapidly now like they have been, I sure hope they start to organize things so it's 1 list per game instead of 6

Honestly don't have a problem with these games at the end of the day they are just trophies. If it makes people happy then let them continue to buy the game it's that simple.

That would be quite nice if you did attempt and completed Super Meat Boy, but you missed the point of what these guys, especially the ones I've quoted, are trying to get to.

 

There are SIX STACKs with the same trophy lists every single time. Overly simple, overly easy, I wouldn't be surprised if a 5 year old kid could play and get the platinums in these games.

 

Trophies to an extent were a challenge and the platinums should be a challenge.

 

That's the point people here are making. Giving us a reason to play through these games and finally get that well earned platinum after we spent a good amount of time on them.

 

If you want a good example of an easy trophy list done right, look at The Bunker and Late Shift. Both are extremely easy platinums but they did not crank out six stacks and they certainly were not something ridiculous like 11 gold trophies or 10 gold trophies and 2 silvers.

 

I'm not against people playing easy games, but when you decide to take advantage of the trophy system by adding six stacks to your crappy games that anybody and their little kid can finish off in 20 - 30 minutes, I can fully understand why some of us here are annoyed by that.

honestly that's how i feel. everyone should trophy hunt how they want. i don't persistently hunt these games on a day to day basis like some people, someday's i would like to get a platinum, or am reaching close to a milestone, or just worked hard on some longer games. whatever the case is, its a little delight to get the satisfaction of getting a platinum. everyone's different and isn't going to feel the same way about it, and that's fine. mostly everyone has other things in life outside of video games, if they are able to get a 30 minute platinum and that makes their day happy, kudos to them. i know i definitely wont be getting past people who hunt them all the time though lol.
