Neef-GT5
...and the critics are far from outstanding. https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/days-gone Among the main issues, the technical performance is the least understandable for a game specifically developed for the PS4. Especially when compared to other exclusives like God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn. Edited April 25, 2019 by Neef-GT5
TheYuriG
Doesn't look too bad, thankfully. Game is 7.7 right now which is way above average. Hopefully whatever issues the game has will be fixed in the coming weeks and the gamer perception of the title improves before it reaches its final state.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Not a surprise really. in fact, I’m a little shocked it’s so high. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - beware the games that have massive marketing campaigns pre-release. good games can rely on word of mouth and good reviews. bad games need to rope people in before they get a chance to be told not to buy by other people.
Popular Post KingGuy420
There's one review there where a guy gave it a 30 because he personally found it boring. He knocked 70 points off for a completely subjective fault. I seriously fucking hate the modern review systems. The day I let someone else tell me whether I like a game or not is the day I end it all lol.
Hanzoadam
With the reviews I think I'd be a little disappointed if I'd pre-ordered and paid for it luckily though I won a limited edition copy so I'll be playing it

They gave Ni No Kuni II a 5/10, Sekiro a 4/10, Wolfenstein II a 3/10 - Zelda BotW a 6/10 and Xenoblades 2 a 4/10 > http://www.metacritic.com/publication/slant-magazine?filter=games
melodicmizery
so which game has more bugs, worls war z or days gone. i havent played either but it seems with that amount of data flying by of thousands of zombies the systems can never handle that without a blue screen or some frozen game corruption. dead rising on ps4 was a mess and those arent even good graphics lol

Plus that political bs video ign uploaded a month ago , its like they want us to listen to thier irrelevant personal agenda instead of a real review on the game. Anyways , I'll judge it myself as always.
Popular Post Cobby
7/10 means the game is decent (above average), seems about right. Not every game can be The Witcher 3, or AMY
Ghost
Still looking forward to playing it. I pre-ordered back in 2017 when Amazon had the E3 deals so I got it for $40. Playstation Trophies gave it a 9 so lets see how it is when we play it. Edited April 25, 2019 by Ghost
RevengeancePrime
I don't care for most of these review scores, especially when you have sites like IGN mixed in. Even so, reviewers I do trust like ACG and SkillUp recommend to wait for a sale, so I might hold off on this until then.
sharkyaya
I’m actually pleased the reviews are mostly positive as I’m really looking forward to playing it myself. I won’t yet though since my backlog is crazy long right now.
craig_obviously
I preordered it, first game in a while....and I will judge for myself... I have seen some reviews mostly asshats I have never heard of...apparently anyone can be a game reviewer now

Popular Post Alex_R-13
I really enjoyed the first 1-1.5 hours so far. Keep in mind that there was another huge patch today which probably fixed even more issues. Dying Light also "only" had 74% and I still loved the game.
Gommes_
I mean the game never really looked good to begin with. At least for me. Zombies? Again? And that dude seems so shallow without any depth. Always looked like a trash story and a cheap premise. But maybe the game convinces me from the opposite, when I pick it up when it is on sale.

Dreakon13
I was kinda on the fence when I pre-ordered this one, and now I'm kind of on the fence with whether or not I'll cancel it (or take advantage of Gamestop's 48 hour full store-credit return thing). The game always felt pretty average just looking at it, and the reviews are kinda giving me some confirmation of that feeling. Doesn't help "open world" games typically aren't my thing (however zombie games are )... so a particularly bland iteration of a genre with too much fluff and filler as it is doesn't thrill me. I wonder how much of it are reviewers being overly critical... and it's a good game that just happens to be the most average in a pile of 10/10 PS4 first party exclusives. Or if it's genuinely a bland, mediocre game. Edited April 25, 2019 by Dreakon13

JoaLoft
It currently stands at 72%, which is a decent score, but far from the level of quality we come to expect from first-party titles. Say what you want about me, I saw this coming. My instinct warned me about this game (I think I mentioned it somewhere on these forums yesterday), that there was no real hook to it, and boy, am I glad I didn't fork over any money for this game. Looks like I never will.

For me personally, I've just liked too many things that got bad reviews to ever take reviews at face value. I loved Mass Effect Andromeda and I would've missed out on a great week of gaming if I had listened to reviews. I hated Last of Us, but if I trusted reviews they would've convinced me it was gods gift to gaming and I would've been out 60$. No one knows what i'm gonna like except for me, so I'd rather have faith in my own gut feeling than put faith in a strangers opinion.

Sure, but it doesn't mean that because it gets a bad review score that one shouldn't buy it. There is more to a review than just the score. Imo, reviews for me have seldom been wrong. But to just dismiss them altogether and just throw money at it is just crazy to me.
