How many of your platinums have under 50% completion rate?

95.35% of mine are "Uncommon" (less than 50%): 123 out of 129.

 

Out of the 6 "culprits", all where dirt cheap the moment I bought them or from PS+. Half was from PS+ (Telltale Batman and Borderlands, Burly Men), then two live action games (Late Shift and the Bunker) and one for the fun of it (Her Majesty's Spiffing).

As of right now, 183 out of my total of 195 platinum trophies are below 50% rarity for me. Which is about 93,2%.

 

• The Walking Dead: A New Frontier (81,33%)

• The Walking Dead (PS4) (73,15%)

• Batman (64,46%)

• Life is Strange: Before the Storm (64,08%)

• Sly 2: Band of Thieves (58,17%)

• The Wolf Among Us (57,75%)

• Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (57,50%)

• Terminator: Salvation (56,86%)

• Tales From The Borderlands (53,97%)

• Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (52,94%)

• Marvel's Spider-Man (51,01%)

• The Walking Dead (PS3) (50,02%)

A lot of the culprits are hiding in Telltale's catalogue, evidently.

41 out of 48 (or 85.41%) are not so common platinums. The 6 very common ones are

 

1. Burly Men at Sea (67.85%)
2. Life is strange (64.08%)
3. Telltale Batman (64.46%)

6. Telltale Wolf Among Us (57.75%)

All good for me as I do enjoy these simple story-like games once in a while.

Currently working on Rayman Legends (just need to get that level of awesomness), which is still UR and on Days gone, whose platinum will probably be achieved by a large percentage of players.

184/354, roughly half under, half over. Though I've never cared about percentages when playing a game. And I'll play most things, easy or hard, quick or long, I like a mix.

 

I don't understand why anyone would automatically dismiss a game because it has a high completion percentage (is that a thing?), it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad game.

Out of 117 platinums, only 3 have above 50% rarity:

• The Walking Dead (Telltale games) [66,96%]
• Sly 2: Band of Thieves [58,17%]
• Sly Cooper [52,94%]

 

After this is Sly 3 with 38,64% which I found surprising the difference with the other two games from the collection although I can understand it being lower since I got bored and stopped playing the game midway through it after playing the other two and only complete it years later.

43/138 have a completion rate of above 50%.

 

After having a quick browse through of the culprits, I can honestly say that I only really enjoyed 5 out of the 43 listed games.. that says it all really.

Not bad. I knew I had a good amount of rarer platinums. The most important, however, is enjoying the games! Even some of my games that have more common platinums were really good!

IMO the golden % for games that are more or less easy or straightforward to plat hovers around 25-30% and up, at least in my experience. Anything below that is usually where you're gonna have to put some "effort" into getting all the trophies.

Currently I have 183/197 under 50%, so 92.9%, but I have other 6 plat ready games and in those are 6, 5 are also under 50% (I have a 7th game 1 trophy away from plat, but that's because I can't get it.. I'm talking of Arcana Heart 3, the other 6 qre because I'm available plats as of now). 

 

With the 6 plat ready, I would be at 93.1%

 

Most of my more common plats are Telltales, with a few selected VN, hidden game objects and, I guess puzzle games (Hitman and Lara Croft GO).
