Nitemares-----
Am I the only one who actually thought the Hordes weren't that hard? I just finished my last one, did it all on Normal, kinda wish they had a Trophy for 100%. Out of the 40 Hordes in the game, only ones you really need strategy for are the story related ones (because you're weaker), along with the only optional Lobert Draw Bridge Horde, I counted how many ears for that one I got, and it was 419. Every single Horde otherwise only has between 40 and 250 (more like a crowd). Figured out my own strategies and always attack during the day so they're in their cave or standing doing nothing. Use a distractor to bunch them together, Frag Grenades work the best in my opinion, I usually eliminated 65% by tossing a couple. The special weapon RPD machine gun, is the best, to finish the rest off, which just cuts them down perfectly, lots of running and dodging. Do not fight them at night, it's suicide, cause you want to be able to have the element of surprise. Edited May 11, 2019 by Nitemares-----
SuperSaiyan3985
Well yeah post-story it became easy. I got max stats now and I start by killing half of them when they're bunched together with molotovs, grenades, etc. then when they're chasing after me beginning mowing them down with the RPD. When I attempted them during the story I raged the hell out LOL.

Well if you thought they were too easy in the day then why not do them at night, use less effective weapons, set yourself goals I.e no heals when taking them down. As you say it’s suicide... I’ve taken quite a few down at night as I felt the same (too easy) during the day. I hope bend doesn't give up on the game after June’s DLC. Heck I even want a sequel!
iGGTheEnd
Yes they were pretty easy, it isn't so bad at night either if I saw one roaming at night I would usually just kill the horde so I wouldn't have to grind as much levels at the end of the game. The hordes are a lot more fun and hectic early on when you have fuck all for guns and ammo and don't have many skills. Late game they are very easy.
Nitemares-----
I've taken down a couple Hordes at night too, I was mentioning the strategy to make it easier for those who were having problems. It's better to do them during the day, you don't want to run out of ammo or supplies for the larger ones. But like I said, 1 Horde only had 40, no strategy needed at all during the day or night. It's more fun to me to do a strategy, kill many, then kill the rest, being overwhelmed is just annoying and a waste of supplies.
