What Platinum Trophies are you Most Proud of?

So I did a cursory check on the forums of this topic but didn't see one.  I thought I would share one particular Plat that I am especially proud of having even though its possession isn't all that rare.

 

Gryphon Knight Epic 

 

I remember seeing this game on a friend's trophy list and then checking the game out on the PSN store.  I just knew I had to have it even though I am not great at side scrolling or vertical scrolling shooters.  Even so, I have loved these types of games since I was a kid so I had to buy it.  When I started playing it, I felt like the plat would forever be out of reach.  In the end, though, I managed it.  What's funny is that I wasn't planning to really attempt it until after I cleared the game and realized I only had a handful left to claim to get the plat.  So I put my big boy pants on and went for it.  I'm not going to lie, I felt a real sense of accomplishment when the trophy popped.

 

Adventurer Extroardinaire 

This was another plat that I had written off.  I think if it wasn't for the disastrous localization of this game and NISA promising to fix it, I may have never returned to this game.  The thing is, when I first played the game, I did the run on normal mode.  I did nearly everything and earned almost all the trophies.  I think I was only missing one optional boss trophy, the maxed skills trophy and Beyond the Nighmare to earn.  I remember logging into PSN and seeing those trophies still being locked and it kept eating at me.

 

I finally decided to attempt the plat after the translation patch was released.  Now, for a long time, I was mostly inactive on PSN for several years, then I discovered this site and the joys of trophy hunting.  At the time I was hunting for this trophy, I was level 9, so I decided to time my trophy earnings in such a way that my level ten trophy would be the plat for this game.  When it finally popped after clearing the epilogue on Nightmare it was my level 10 trophy.

 

Also, on the subject of the patch; NISA did a really good job on revising the localization.  I found the dialogue a lot more natural sounding when they revised it.  Also, to NISA's credit, they went back and rerecorded the dialogue for the entire game I think; at their expense.  While they have in the past offered disastrous efforts, I have to give them credit for making it right with this game when they really didn't have to.  Personally, I think the reason they did was more to preserve a working relationship with Falcom then to make their customers happy, but I can imagine that was their primary motivation.

I'd probably say: 

 

Super Meat Boy - For obvious reasons, it's one of two games i've played that has damn near almost broke me. 

 

 

Atari Flashback Classics Vol.3 - Partly because I was the 1st achiever for this platinum and it was extremely hard to finish. There is a game on the collection which you have to beat for a trophy called "Xari Arena". The game itself was never released for being way too hard to complete. This and a few other trophies made this a complete nightmare. I'm definitely happy to have it.

 

 

Surgeon Simulator - This is the other of the two games that almost broke me. This isn't so much difficult as it was annoying. This is hands down the most annoying game I have ever played but i'm still proud that I managed to pull through and finish it without using the glitch to get the A++ trophy faster.

 

 

Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits - I'm mainly proud of this because at the time I thought it would be a platinum trophy that I would never be able to get. I've been a drummer for nearly 20 years so Bloody Feet wasn't too bad but the guitar related trophies were pretty brutal and took a lot of practice. This was also the first platinum I ever got that I considered to be extremely difficult.

I don't have anything that will make you go "Wow, look at this dude, congrats!", but i'll say Assassin's Creed 3, both plat and 100%. Original Gamer, An Extraordinary Man and Completionist (but not that much) were annoying and i had to re-do third episode of Washington's Tyranny, because one event wouldn't spawn at all.

 

EDIT: And maybe Rayman Legends as well, because it took me 4 months with missing something about 5 challenges.

For me it'd be:

Respect You - DJMax Respect

The hardest part of the trophy list would be completing 50 missions, which become ridiculously hard at 30ish ones. If i don't have the DLCs for this game, probably i won't bother grinding for this one. Definitely one of the series i could sink hundreds of hours into.

I’m  extremely proud of my Farpoint platinum.

”Mastery of space and time”

it was such a challenge to complete this game and also a big enjoyment 

less than 100 players have it, so I’m privileged to be part of that restricted club :)))

Neverwinter HK version , noone spoke english had always lags except at evening for around 4h. And still managed to plat it, plus i was the first Man who plated Neverwinter twice here. Yakuza 0 was also a tough one the dancing mini games on hard against pedo jackson and majhong drove me nuts.

Trove Platinum. It's my rarest Trophy (0,1 in PSN and 0,20 in PSNProfiles.com) and it was an 700 Hours Grind, especially the Level 50 PVP-Trophy. This PVP-Trophy is now much easier. But I liked this game, it was fun and charming. Number 2: Red Dead Redemption 2 and 3.: Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics (Yes, another Free to Play Game.).

Behind that are Battlefield Bad Company and Bloodborne, both hard too but with online gameplay it was easier to complete those...

I dont think I could say im proud of any, the one I felt the most relief though when I got it was Hollow Knight.

 

I dunno, when I think abt it, it just feels more relief than anything else, and that the game was fun as hell I guess!

Cross Edge. My first JRPG on the ps3. It is not a very difficult game, but the grind is insane. It took me over 4 years to get the platinum. After a while I started to hate the game, so I played it only occassionally  over a long time. I was so happy once I got the platinum.

 

Persona 4 and 5: Two awesome JRPGs with complex and challenging platinums. I am a a fan of the Megaten-series since the SNES times. Im already looking foreward to P5 Royal...

 

428 Shibuya Scramble: Not hard at all, but simply my favourite visual novel. I absolutely love this game.

Agents of Mayhem- For the most part it was easy but the trophy for the contracts was grindy af plus you had to rely on others. Getting the shards was a pain too because even with the map it was hard to find. 

 

FFXV

 

La Noire - Getting five stars and all the collectables was a pain.

 

All three Uncharted games- Crushing was a nightmare at times especially in the first game.
