That pistol is the best part of the DLC.

 

Yeah...I stuck with my usual set up for the game.

Shotgun for mutants (bullet sponges otherwise)

assault rifle for humans (saves shotgun ammo and can either be really fast or hard hitting)

and a sniper for long range kills and accuracy. (and in this instance my silenced weapon since the assault rifle couldn't be.)

 

I did come across a silenced pistol I swapped for the pistol I had and used it until I was able to pick up the sniper rifle though if that counts.
