Ad Hoc in 2019

Like the title says, are the 2 Ad Hoc trophies in this game still achievable? Or did they die when Sony pulled the plug on NEAR?

NEAR had nothing to do with Adhoc, and no guides are mentioning them as unobtainable trophies.

I'm by no means 100% certain mate but AFAIK they are still fine to be gotten without NEAR. I got ad hoc trophies in Modnation after the plug was pulled on that function so there isn't problems there. I do know thought that maybe the lack of unlocks could be due to the fact the game isn't available digital anymore and the physical Vita copies are quite pricey in the UK (£35+ from CeX last i checked, mid last year) for a sub par platformer. 

 

If anybody knows better though please step in, but from past research that's the big put offs folk have about it.

The "Clear!" trophy was earned 4 weeks ago, so it should be possible with 2 Vitas and 2 copies of the game.

Ad-Hoc has nothing to do with NEAR in this case. The Ad-Hoc used can be seen as the Vitas connecting to one another using Wi-Fi (the Vita tells you that you can't connect online while using Ad-hoc). As long as you get two Vitas together with the game on each one you can get the trophy.

Thanks for the replies guys! I will pick up a couple of copies then, there’s currently a seller on eBay selling them as cartridge only at £10 each and has a handful of them.

To answer my own question, yes it’s still possible. Just did it myself with two vitas and two copies of the game. It’s surprisingly easy!
