Based off the in-game model, Infinity Ward has outfitted the adjustable goggles with game inspired custom decals and design details. The goggles can operate in “Day mode”, allowing the user to see in full color, and automatically switch to “Night mode” when dark conditions are detected. Night mode features both a black-and-white and a phosphorous blue color setting that the user can toggle between. Don’t be left in the dark, pre-order this limited edition while supplies last.

New details on the game:

  • There will be no mini-map, but a compass. On the compass, a red dot would show and you would have to find out from where. The mini-map isn’t completely removed though as it’ll still show up, but only when a UAV killstreak reward is deployed or something similar.
  • Peek and lean mechanic confirmed
  • Sniper glint will be back (previously seen in Infinite Warfare)
  • You can trade kills (meaning the both of you die at the same time)
  • Quickscoping is back but it’s a lot slower now (watch it in action here)
  • Riot shield confirmed to be in multiplayer
  • 100 percent confirmed, no Specialists in multiplayer; all Operators are the same
  • You can mount every weapon (no bipods needed) on vertical or horizontal surfaces to reduce recoil; except pistols and launchers
  • Almost all doors can be opened and closed in multiplayer
  • Most maps are designed for three-lanes (like with Treyarch’s CODs), but there are some with four lanes
  • Guns are all real-life guns (brand, etc.)
  • No killstreaks available in Gunfight mode
  • Players can make their own March Madness-type tournament bracket for Gunfight
  • Grenades are locked upon spawn to avoid players chucking them upon spawn in Gunfight mode
  • Time to kill closer to Call of Duty: Ghosts depending on the weapon used
  • Character health was reminiscent Of MW3, die quicker than BO4, Ghost and even WWII

Activision announced that the Modern Warfare Ground War game mode will support up to 100+ players. In addition to that, there’s going to be 10v10, and 20v20 modes as well.

Although my interest has been piqued, I'm still not fully convinced. I've been disappointed by Call of Duty one time too many.

My advice? Play other great games this fall, and wait until after the holidays to pick this one up once it starts to get its first discount. At least, that's what I'm planning.

I personally think the graphics look awful. Never been a fan of Infinity Ward's graphics since the original team left (after MW3). Ghosts and Infinite Warfare had dire graphics.

Unless the gameplay is amazing, I think it's Blackout year 2 for me.

Also, that 2v2 mode will be unplayable. It'll be full of sweaty wagers kids with IDs like Xx-CoMeAtM3Br0-xX.

In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war.

Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.
