Dying Light 2 (February 4, 2022)

Recommended Posts

Glad to see we got a release date for it now. Looking forward to it since the first game was really good and the co-op was fun. With all the story choices you can make that cause environmental changes it will be cool seeing how different other players' games will be.

Have they confirmed whether or not there will be free upgrades to current gen if you get the PS4 version?

A release date reveiled finally. I liked Dying Light 1 a lot for it's parcour and first person melee combat and the sequel seem to be more and better of the same. I don't think it's necessary to make the map that much bigger but hopefully they'll fill the world with something worthwile to explore :)

This is possibly the only game i'll get right away after release.

Fun fact: i just watched a video of 7 games that you thought will release in 2021 wrongly by Whatculture Gaming from a few days ago and Dying Light 2 is one of the entries but i am happy the game shall release this year...

500 hours to 100% the game and get all endings. Apparently, it should take a player 70-100 hours to beat the game and do most side quests.

Holy shit balls.

Really enjoyed the first game so i might dig deep to finish this

Not even RDR2 has 500 hours worth of content so why would dying light 2? They say that the 500 hours comes from all the extra dialogue, all endings and choices, all collectibles and checking every place on the map… even if all collectibles is as dense as something like 100%ing RDR2 which is far from 500 hours i doubt it. As for checking every place? Doubt it. And different dialogue, no one is going to play for 500 hours for that.

Endings and different choices, sure, but not anywhere near 500 hours i bet. Ive heard it so many times before where devs boast that their game is x amount of hours but i have never ever played a game that had 500 hours worth of content unless we’re talking about games such as live service or where some kind of grind/farm comes into play.

They make it sound like dying light 2 have content thats worth 500 hours worth of your time thats actually considered fun? Probably not. lol

Definitely. I hope that it's not just hours of fetch quests and mindless grinding.

The first game is fantastic and i've almost platinumed it so would really like to platinum the second.

"The trophy list looks like we need close to 100% completion. Luckily any Ending will do for the gold trophy so everything should be doable in a single playthrough.

We don’t need to get all Endings.

The completion tasks and Collectibles we will have to do are: All Metro Stations, Windmills, Inhibitors, Airdrops, GRE Anomalies, Bandit Camps, All Sparker Love Interests, All Nightrunner Trials, Collectible Notes, Collectible Recordings, Graffiti Tag Collectibles.

We also need to max out Health and Stamina and get 1 Million Money. Most of the kill-related trophies should come naturally.

Another thing that stands out is that there are 2 co-op trophies for joining a co-op session and killing 100 enemies in co-op. So these will likely be online trophies, but are very easy and quick." (C)
