zeitgeist_02
I've recently done all of the trophies in the game except for the one for completing the game on hard. I have already died as a result of having no ammo in the second level, so is the rest of the game this hard or does it get easier when you can buy tonics and plasmids? Also if you have any other tips besides doing the infinite health glitch thing, that would be great.
PraiseTheFluppi
I did Bioshock 2 a while ago, so I don't know exactly how I did it anymore, but for me, it wasn't that difficult, especially when you can buy tonics and stuff. Sadly, the only tip I can give right now ( because I forgot everything) is, that the spear gun is OP, as long as you can aim for the head. That was the case in the first one and I remember having the hardest time in the challenge room dlc in bio 1, and in the end I did it with only with the crossbow And by the way, the infinite health glitch is new to me, so it can't be too hard, can it? ? Also, the Insect swarm plasmid is good as well, the enemies will be distracted and you can get away, shoot them, heal yourself etc. It doesn't deal much damage, but as a distraction it's A+ and almost necessary with many enemies at once. I don't want to say something wrong, but I believe you can even cast it a few times so that it distracts more than one enemy, but I'm not sure about that.
Taliesin_2943
Putting bombs on barrels and tossing them at enemies mainly the big daddies helped a bunch
Popular Post dakk55
Here's some things I did to help on the Hard playthrough. 1. Do research, when you get the Camera. Use it ASAP. Most important is the bonus from Spider Splicer since you can get first aid kit drops. Maxing out research on Spider Splicers also gives Fountain of Youth tonic. It lets you regenerate health and EVE when in contact with water. So it will be VERY useful. 2. Use the environment to your advantage. Use shock in water to take out groups, set up traps, etc. 3. Do good choices when you can, it gives out better benefits. I remember using these tonics in my playthrough.Armored shell -Better defense against melee. This will help as Splicers likes to sneak up on you.Freezing drill - This is a godsend, it can freeze up the enemy and let you do big damage. Very useful against Brutes, BIg Sister and Big Daddy.Handyman - This will be helpful, especially when getting swarmed. Having a turret up will be a good distraction.Cure all - Lets health station refill EVE too.Fountain of youth: As mentioned above
Popular Post Grample_Gust
Rivet gun - best weapon in the game and should be immediately upgraded fully, headshots are easy and insta-kill on splicers, heavy rivets are your go-to for dealing with daddys and sisters until u get a max'd out speargun, other guns/drill are a joke on hard and should be a last resort Special ammo - when defending lil sisters dont feel bad for plastering 36 full trap rivets in the area, you'll always have money for more Save little sisters - someone did the research and found out there is literally only a 190 atom difference between saving and harvesting little sisters overall, u get goodies for being nice so do it Headhunter tonic - when paired with the rivet gun its broken Best plasmid - the bee plasmid is ridiculously cheap to use and will single-handedly carry you through once you get it, its electro-shock without the damage bonus on your next attack, except it lasts three times longer, doesnt need to be aimed, shoots around corners, can be used on multiple enemies at once, and will actually chain to the next enemy once you kill whoever it's on, and that's only the level 1 version Bonus tip - the first encounter with the big sister is scripted, you're invincible so dont waste any ammo Edited February 27, 2020 by Grample_Gust
Popular Post jpmelville
Make sure to manually save often. Make sure to hack both flying and stationary turrets, as well as cameras, then lead enemies toward them. Make sure to set up traps before you begin an area where you know it could pose difficulty issues. Make sure you get the perk that makes turrets more deadly. Make sure you are making sure.
Popular Post Roundtoad
For anyone else needing help with hardmode, here are some of the things I did to platinum the game in 1 run: - Turn off vita-chambers and save often, this will guarantee you several trophies (no vita chambers, kill 3 big daddy's in a row, hard mode etc...). Have a separate save for each of the levels, in case you missed anything. - The game gets progressively easier as you unlock more tonics and plasmids. Upgrade the rivet gun to 3 during the first 2 levels to make things easier, and make sure to aim for the head - it's an almost instakill. - You're forced to buy all the basic plasmids for a trophy, but to cheese your way through the game, and thus making fights trivial, you should max Winter Blast as it can instalock everything, even Big Sisters. A drawback is that some enemies will not drop any loot if they die while frozen. You can get around this by letting the enemy thaw before hitting the killing blow. - When defending a gather, try to find a corpse around an already hacked turret or camera to provide you with extra support, then plant your own mini turrets and rivet traps around. Add Decoy, and the splicers wont touch you (great if you need the no hit while gathering trophy). - Security Command 2/3 (summons 2 elite bots to fight with you) will help tremendously during gather events, as they provide another decoy. - As soon as you rescue or harvest the last little sister of a level, a big sister will spawn, so make sure you're stocked up before you send the little sister through the vent. Also, plan ahead and rescue/harvest the little sister around an area that has hacked security cameras and turrets for added support. - Assuming you gather twice before you send the little sister away, you will have MORE than enough Adam to max your Health and Eve along with buying all tonic slots, plasmid slots, Winter Blast 3, Electro Bolt 3, Security Command 3 and all the basic Plasmids. - When you get the research camera, start spamming it on enemies, especially Thuggish Splicers (as they only appear on the level you first get the camera), and Spider Splicers (maxed research nets you "Fountain of Youth" which allows you to regen health and Eve when you stand in water, great for the followup levels which have a lot of water). - Make sure you fully research Big Sisters before the third last level. They are limited in number, and DO NOT spawn in the last two levels of the game. - The Drill is possibly the most overpowered weapon the in game - get all of its related skills and you can down Big Daddy's in 3-4 drills to the head (however, you will run out of fuel fast, even with the upgrade). TL;DR - Winter Blast 3

voxman90
I got through the game twice, but only because I thought there was an NG+. My advice to those who are confident in their skills - better to play straight on Hard. In the beginning you'll have to get creative, but towards the end... towards the end I killed everyone exclusively in melee and freeze. The game is not difficult and does not require familiarity with the guides (except for the list of missable trophies).
