Sky has launched its Now TV service on PlayStation 3 across Europe.

This means you’ll now be able to enjoy the likes of Sky Sports and Sky Movies from the comfort of Sony’s trusty current-generation workhorse.

Punters can nab a Sky Sports day pass for £9.99, which allows viewers to enjoy sports on a pay-per-day basis. This allows you to check out specific programmes without having to be tied to a Sky contract.

Film buffs meanwhile can enjoy Sky Movies for £15 per month, which brings up to 20 new movies per month before Netflix and LoveFilm. Sky is offering a 30-day free trial if you fancy it; sign-up now and you’ll be able to enjoy the service for £8.99 as opposed to the standard rate.

Sky plans to roll out a series of programmes from Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts and Sky Living throughout the year.

Fergal Gara, head of Sony Computer Entertainment U.K., commented: “Adding Sky’s amazing content via Now TV to the PlayStation 3′s services is a real boon for our millions of UK customers. Streaming great and exclusive sports and movie content to the family TV is a huge enhancement to the PlayStation entertainment portfolio.”
