Ether One has all the ingredients for an enjoyable adventure, but all the bugs force the player to breeze through the game with a walkthrough so as to spend as few time as possible for fear of crashing or save game corruption. A damned shame, as the setting and the atmosphere are well crafted -- it could have been a good game.

 

Cpt. Morgane is a pretty standard, funny point-and-click adventure; a pretty easy one, as the puzzles require only minimal backtracking and there are usually not many possible options. Bonus for trophy hunters: There are only few missable trophies, and their requirements can be tracked easily, so there is no need to constantly refer to a walkthrough, as with some other adventures.

 

I don't know what to make of Home. It would probably make a good 15 page short story. As a game, it does not really provide much more benefit over such a story -- except for trophies, of course. Meh.

 

Two weeks for three completions, should be doable.

Two DLC down for Mafia 3 and 1 trophy left for the third and final. I missed the chance to snag it early so now ill have to wait till the end of the game to grab it. Finished Jurassic today so on to sherlock tomorrow. Im now fully invested in this final push before the events close. Gonna be a big few weeks from me, with these listed as well as The Wildlands DLC, AC Rogue, Man of Medan and potentially a Destiny 2 plat also on the table.

Finished up another entry (I thought it was two when I finished What Remains of Edith Finch, but the EU version has the number I need ? ). Before the Storm wasn't quite as good as LiS, but it wasn't bad either. I need to make a couple of changes since we're running out of time. I swapped Forgotton Anne in for Beyond Two Souls and Sonic Mania for Alien: Isolation. I may also need to choose something shorter in place of L.A. Noire, but we'll see. I plan on doing 7 last since I have a couple really short ones in my backlog I could use.

Another one down! Trying to wrap all this up soon so I can do some of the longer games I've been putting off for the sake of this event. Day of the Tentacle Remastered was a lot of fun! The voice acting was a little strange at the beginning, but I got a lot more used to it as I played, and the jokes were usually pretty funny. Even if some of the solutions were... dubious at best, I still had a good time. I can see why this supposedly revolutionized a lot of old adventure game tropes.

So I haven't been gaming as much lately, but I have finally managed to go back and finish Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack for my #6.

I have been playing 2064: Read Only Memories which will be my #8 in this and also double as my "# game" in the PSN A-Z. I am hoping to get the speed-run and second-path playthrough completed over the weekend.

With time running out, I have found a short one in my backlog for #3: Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal and I am then hoping to have enough time to complete Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole for my #5 - hopefully before time runs out!

Aaaand it's done. The Order: 1886 was... mediocre. I guess I really shouldn't have expected much better, but at least I got it for very, very cheap. For the price I got it for I really can't complain. Shadow of Loot Box however was fucking hilarious. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a parody game, and though the mechanics could have been a tad more polished, it really had the "shitty money-grab mobile game" vibe down. Loved it.
