How is Yakuza Kiwami 2 compared to Yakuza Kiwami?

I'm currently going for the Platinum in Yakuza Kiwami, which feels somewhat more difficult than Zero, but shorter. I was wondering, how does Yakuza Kiwami 2 compare to Kiwami? Trophy guides seem to suggest it's a bit easier and shorter than Kiwami, but I would like to know what some of you guys think, I've you've played both Kiwamis (and perhaps Zero too, for extra reference)

Also, is the game very similar to Kiwami? Currently, I'm a bit disappointed that Kiwami seems so close to Zero. I knew beforehand, that Zero was known as a much bigger and more popular game, but for some reason I thought Kiwami was in a different game engine. The story is pretty damn good in Kiwami though, so I'm glad I'm playing it.

Kiwami 2 uses Yakuza 6 engine so it's somewhat different experience then Zero and Kiwami. As for the platinum, I found it much easier then Kiwami which is kinda a pain the ass compared to Zero's. The best game to compare it to is actually 6 since, as stated before, shares the same engine. Overall it's your run of the mill Yakuza platinum, 2 playthroughs (one in Legend), 100 % completion (substories, mini games,  abilities, etc.) and the always fun Climax Battles.

I really really noticed the graphical and performance difference in the new Dragon engine they used for Yakuza Kiwami 2 in comparison to Kiwami which is more of a traditional remaster. Kiwami 2 had a much easier platinum for me in comparison to my experiences with Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami.

In terms of platinum trophies, i thought Kiwami 2 was much easier and less time consuming than Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami. I really hope they release EU remasters of 3,4 & 5 soon.

Thanks for your replies @diogolsoares and @Crispy_Oglop! How would you say Kiwami 2 compares to Kiwami, in terms of the time it takes to get the Platinum? I'm currently at 75 hours in Kiwami, and at 98.44% completion (I still need to do Climax Battles and Legend playthrough). Which is longer than I thought it would be.

Is it true that Yakuza Kiwami 2 has much tougher Mahjong requirements, than previously? Also, Haruka's Requests - are they worse than in Kiwami? Some say they are? How grindy is Kiwami 2? I've really enjoyed Kiwami, but I'm a bit exhausted with the grindy mini-games. I want to play Kiwami 2 soon though, but if it's more of the same mini-game grinding, I probably need a longer break.

Basically you need to win all Mahjong tournaments (around 6 I believe), just like the other games, something which is just an absolute pain in the ass. I wouldn't say this is harder, this is standard for Yakuza games past 4.

Kiwami 2 is way less grindy, but in terms of length  (even though I haven't done it yet) it's about in the middle of the pile of the Yakuza games. Not as short as 6, but not ridiculous like 5 or 0, maybe 60- 70 hours or so, plus the additional walkthrough. I'm around 50 hours in just for reference, and I have only mahjong and 2 optional battles left to do.

Haruka's requests were fine in K2 IMO, I had little trouble with them, save for the casino shit, which is RNG anyway.

Climax Battles and the legend playthrough both killed my platinum ambition for Zero and Kiwami. It's either car chases or stupid protecting missions. Climax Battles are just stupid. They make no sense for me.

For Kiwami 2 my first goal is just try to enjoy the game after useless grinding Zero and Kiwami.
