Without knowing what the issue here is, would updating unregistered accounts less frequently help?  Even updating them every six months would be better than nothing.

 

It could be I'm not remembering correctly, but even before the current issues with updating, many unregistered accounts were going longer than that without being updated.  And if you looked at their profile, it would start updating that profile again for a while without having to manually update.

The VR platform won't affect other leaderboards, it's purely in addition to the others.

I wish the trophy log sorting worked correctly, but I think I wrote a fix for it for myself. Lulz... Should be simple stuff that was broken in a massive site update years ago...

 

The rarity issues. Not sure about the current situation, but last time I checked there were still flagged cheaters sometimes counting in on the game stats. That sucks when it's some extremely rare trophy. I also sometimes notice actually flagged users for that game still being on that game's leaderboard years after the flag. Also, there's some behind the scenes issues with name change stuff and flags that last time I checked wasn't fixed yet.

 

I know sly works on this, but it's not always that easy. I recommend when you find these issues go into chat, pm him, and give sly exact examples of it.

 

 

I guess you guys didn't notice the name change stuff? Or that other trophy sites went down for a while recently?

 

It's stuff like that which has taken a lot of time lately, and it still does, and as far as I can tell, he has kept you up to date on that to a certain degree.

Truly, I wish that I can help out for making this website better too. There are many things I would like to add or fix:

• Carry guides with every PSN ID change
• Carry the trophy cabinet with every PSN ID change
• Make possible to hide images as spoilers in guides
• Manually resize images in guides
• Some volunteers to manually mark trophies as ‘unobtainable’, ‘bugged’, ‘online’, etc. with restrictive controls, of course.
• Custom profile border color

Yeah it would be nice to see these things done, it's been almost 2 years (If you count, nearly 600 days) since the series box got added to the site and for those past 2 years I've been maintaining the series system on the backend waiting for the feature to hit the site soon - however 'soon' has been to refer to that system over the past 2 years lol  Also features like the VR tag and the tiny quick fixes that go a long way that people request almost weekly here would be nice to see (Like a filter to hide completed games in the sessions page). Besides the name changing update that took up a lot of time for most of the first half of the year, I don't think there were any features added at all in 2018, unless you count the ability to delete unpublished guides, so it would be nice to see even small things get added from time to time like they used to a few years ago

 

Also regarding the unobtainable trophy tagging, I'd love to organize that if such a feature were added and know people on the site that would love to maintain that sort of thing, so finding people wanting to maintain that kind of thing is the easy part

As Sly showed, it's not hard to region tag lists, however I do have to apply and crop all the images for the banner, trophy card 1, and trophy card 2 for each list - which if devs organize their list isn't a problem but doing it 6 - 10 times for the same exact games dumped onto PSN weekly now is getting tedious. I guess an improvement could be if there was an image applied to a list and another list was linked to it without any images yet, those could be auto-applied. Though that's not really essential and I'm probably just going to ignore image assets these weekly 6 - 8 lists for the same game dumped onto PSN while still region tagging them. Basically, it's more of a problem with what the devs are doing with their unorganized lists rather than the site being the blame with this

Im curious about this logic because the PSVR is not even a platform, its a peripheral thats attached to the PS4 (the platform)

The way I'm currently tagging VR games with the series box is if VR is required in order to play the game, it doesn't make much sense in this case to tag it if VR is just a feature of if a game just has a VR mode. Also while it's not exactly a platform, the platform tag is a good way to tag is with how the site logic works. PSVR will go on past PS4 so Sony is sort of treating it like some sort of hybrid platform of sorts anyways, even though it's technically a peripheral lol

Well, that's definitely not correct. I've been manually updating dozens of accounts during the past week and I've come across countless cases of registered users not being updated for over a year. Sometimes even more than two years.

This is one example. Notice the circles I've added:

I'm glad someone said it. Feels like any good new suggestions just get ignored and the promised updates/improvements to the site take forever to actually surface. The PSN name changes are the most recent example of course. I guess most people consider that over and done with now, but for the people who have written guides for the site, they still don't link over to the new profile. I get that it's not high priority since it only affects a small minority of users, but we also happen to be some of the biggest contributors to the site, and it would be nice to at least get some kind of confirmation that this is still being looked into.

I would assume the update schedule also has hidden attributes such as; [Active within X days].

I don't know why you would want daily updates on profiles that haven't been active in 3 years...

Not playing devil's advocate here, but he did say he can't do everyone without Sony's support. Anyway, hopefully it'll be a bit smoother now...hopefully.

You don't need to put in the effort to improve when you are already largely the leader. This is true for both PSNP and Sony, as both have stopped trying after reaching great success. This is why competition is always good for the consumer. If there was another website competing toe-to-toe with PSNP, we wouldn't keep asking the same updates over and over again, we would just switch instead. Why bother?

All I want is trophy rarity to show it's proper value. Maybe it's just me, but that's one of the most important things that seems utterly broken for anyone with Ultra Rare plats. My numbers are a mess from removed people that still show as Platinum achievers, or whatever else the problem is. 

 

The rest is just icing, let's get the important stuff working properly.

I have to agree with this. I've got some titles where the plats were NEVER achievable due to poor programming and the site shows 8-10 plat owners or 100% completions but no names are listed as the owners.

He did, but that makes no sense at all. When I'm able to update profiles, he's too.  I mean, it's his site. He coded the stuff.

The trophy stack stuff doesn't make sense, it's as easy/automatic as it can get:

 

The series page will come soon, I'm adding a VR leaderboard/platform tag so the VR series can be moved to that, then that whole series can be removed.

 

"warnings for server shutdowns or unobtainable trophies" aren't a simple change, it's all manually added info and needs people to do this.

 

Already made a list for that  we just need someone that spends some days linking each one of them - and no, it’s not easy, I know  

 

About other things: for those that don’t agree with any improvement or features, they could simply use their website definitions to switch on/off (like the elevator music feature).

 

Dont forget to create a personal list / tab for our collection or wishlist

If you don't like the site, you could make your own better version.

 

It would require a lot of hard work and money to pull off. You would also need to pull the supporters from theis site over to you; my suggestion would be to use blackjack and attractive women.

It is good to hear the ribbon dream isn't dead yet. I was very worried the idea was scraped because too many people hated it or Sly didn't want it.

Just a query, is there any thoughts on others users' desires to removed finished games from appearing in gaming sessions? Like if someone's already platted/100%'d a Call of Duty game, and don't want to see that game appear in gaming sessions anymore

One very noticeable game for that is https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/6368-魔物獵人frontier-g where it shows 1 game owner, and 100% completion, even though the trophyset is not achievable by legitimate means, and the one person on the site to own it, was removed from the site. Their stats still stayed.

Well considering there's dedicated threads for these, that should be relatively easy to do when the day comes. Personally, I liked how Skippy did unobtainables on his site,
