Ea access questions

Hi guys,

Ea access asks for a credit card to subscribe I have a PayPal account and also $30 in my account. I'm using a US account but I'm from New Zealand. I can pay for games with my NZ bank card so unsure why I can't use PayPal as an option to sub for ea access.

Just another question

If I set this up ea access on my nz psn account will I be able to earn trophies on all of my accounts or just the account that has ea access subbed on.

I think you can buy ea access with money on your psn account for 12 months. But for one month ithe store shows me to enter credit card or paypal.

That's weird because when I attempted to sub to the 12 month subscription it prompts me with a "credit card/debit card required to progress" message. But I'll try to reverse the action for a 1 month sub and post the results here.

Can confirm, it wanted a credit card for 1 month but allowed me to sign up for 12 with psn wallet.

I have exactly $30 in my ps wallet for the 12 month sub which is $29.99. Had to get a $20 and $10 from Amazon because I was looking at the EA access for xbone and someone bypassed the issue by having M$.

What’s the catch with this ea access thing? Seems too good to be true surely. I pay £20 per year and get unlimited access to all the games they’ve listed? Surely they’re going to lose a shit ton of money doing this?

The catch is the games are mostly crap and many are just multiple iterations of sports games. For the couple of half decent games you could buy them more cheaply. Maybe a couple of months every few years would be worthwhile to play a few half decent games, but would still work out cheaper to just buy them second hand and trade back. These games lose value really quickly.

If you have the time get PS Now instead. Better game per dollar value and far far better games.

This seems like a good setup if I already did not have a backlog of EA games (Battlefield, NBA Live, etc.)

How close to launch are the sports games released?  Within a couple of weeks or months after launch?

Interested in this too. I own everything currently on offer that I'm interested in but I do buy FIFA each year. If I don't have to wait too long after release then this might be worth it to me when FIFA 20 is released.

Looks like FIFA 19 was just added today.

And FIFA 18 wasn't added until FIFA 19's release date. FIFA is EA's #1 cash cow, probably shouldn't count on the latest version being added to Access until they've already bled it dry.

Edit: EA removed their story about FIFA 19 being added to the Access vault literally moments after I provided the link (clearly they monitor everything I do ?), so now I don't know whether it's available or not.

Their cash cow is really FUT so it wouldn't surprise me if they put it on there. Casinos don't charge for entry.

I will tell you how I did it for PS Now and EA Access without giving them my credit card information.

Set up a paypal account without no money, put it as your primary payment and by default they will take the money that you have on your PSN wallet.

TQ

Once I get confirmation that the EA access game library excluding trials can be accessible on all accounts. I'll subscribe on my secondary account.
