Popular Post AuroraHistoire
Not so Scary Halloween - Histoire Talks about Stuff I was planning on playing a bunch of scary games this month. I don't like scary games, so I don't have very many. I did play a few games with scary things in them. Skyrim had Vampires, dark dungeons and gaint spiders. I'm not scared of spiders but those frostbite spiders creeped me out. Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed had busy streets with way too many people for me. Also, the 'thing' that happens when you die is quite disturbing. Mass Effect 3 has enemy types that could be in horror games. I did play one actual horror game this month. Don't Cheat on Your Favorite Gun - Zombi ZombiU was a launch title on the Wii U and I played it a lot back in the day. I have a little over 64 hours of game time. Zombi is just a port of the Wii U version, without the multiplayer. I'm such a baby, I can't play 'new' a horror game. Despite knowing the game very well, I was still very on edge the whole time. The game doesn't have many jumpscares (2 I can remember {1 of the 2 is skipable}). The true terror comes from the fact that any zombie can potentially kill you. Ammunition for firearms is in short supply and your melee options are not that great. My experience was mostly a nostalgic romp. The most of the trophy list is ridiculously easy, with a few exceptions. There is one collectables trophy that isn't bad and you have to clear the entire game on one life, on the hardest difficulty. I am very good at this game, so it wasn't too difficult for me. My full game list with updated statistics is in the spoiler tag. Spoiler Aurora's Autum/Winter Backlog MK3 Games without a % are unplayed. Purple games are 100% complete. Popular Post EPICRAGE
END OF OCTOBER UPDATE: If I were to title my progress since the last update I would call it Night of the Glitching Glitch as I encountered a glitch in just about every game I played that forced me to do extra complete playthroughs. Of course I made it worse for myself since I just had to play a game not on my list, Horror Stories, and that's where all the glitchiness began. I had to play through that game three times instead of once, although it was actually fun and short once I knew how to play. Then the Inheritance DLC for Layers of Fear glitched out on me, and to make matters worse it was the trophies for gathering all the collectibles and the trophy to get the THIRD ending which you have to do in order. So I had to play through the DLC a total of six times instead of three. Luckily I didn't have any problems with Layers of Fear 2 and even though the story was complete nonsense I appreciated the setting and atmosphere better than the first game. But then one trophy in Perception glitched on me so I had to do another playthrough of that, after 2 playthroughs to achieve the 100% in the first place. Clearly I am a little frustrated by all this and it killed my motivation. Plus I went on a little vacation to Salem so that cut into my gaming time. At least I got to platinum Halloween Forever before midnight on Halloween! I will continue my horror game backlog, even though I guess it's Christmas season now according to everyone. I managed to complete 30/50 games so I failed my personal challenge but I'm well on my way to completing the Fall/Winter 2019/2020 Backlog Challenge! I might take a short break as Link's Awakening and Luigi's Mansion 3 are calling my name from the Switch but I'll be back at it soon with a new goal of finishing by the end of November! 1. Popular Post freddie1989
End of week update from me. Far Cry I have finished up the arcade trophies so just got clean up now, hunting etc then on to DLC. Made a start on Dying Light, just done the prologue etc so I can get online to do those with a group hopefully over the weekend, not much to report. The main bulk of my play has been Detroit which I have to say I loved, it has a great story and it is quite heartbreaking at points. Finished my pacifist playthrough but messed up towards the end and lost a couple of characters so have to repeat the last 3 chapters then on the violent playthrough which should give me the plat on that. I have added some definite time sinks in Superbeat Xonic and Kingdom Come. It had more funny and interesting moments and it had better story. This one was alright but it kinda short compared to the first one. Still had fun with it. Could've got platinum in less amount of time but i messed up collectible part even tho i followed text guide Heavy Rain - First time playing HR and i had a blast with it. It got me hooked up till the very end and i wanted more. Story was very well written and characters were alright. Getting all endings was less annoying then the ones in Beyond Two Souls. Eventually i'll probably play it again, but this time on PS3. So i had a very productive month, got 12 plats. A month of absence from work paid off, well in terms of gaming at least Probably gonna do less in November, but oh well. Also, since i'm almost done with my initial list of games, i added couple of new ones (18-22). Edited November 10, 2019 by Whyfire

Popular Post HaserPL
Update of the week: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 0% 6% 15%; Dead Nation 31% 75% 92% - One trophy left - 53 000 kills. I need about 8000 more so I will have to replay the final mission 2/3 times. Will leave the game for later. My friend @Johnytomm has helped me a lot with Dead Nation basically carrying me through the game. Now I'm focusing on Prince of Persia, unlike Warrior Within and Two Thrones I haven't played this game as a child so I have zero nostalgia making it less painful to play through. This game hasn't aged well, the camera and the fighting system are broken and the trophy for rewinding time less than 20 times will be a bitch. I just hope I won't have to beat the game twice...

I'm clawing back some progress on Slayaway Camp and Shadow of Mordor. I'm finding Slayaway Camp to be easier on a second run through, my first giving me a fair idea of how the puzzles are structured. Shadow of Mordor is going well again. I believe this is my 5th time running through the game in totality, so the 'reset' doesn't really bother me. The only thing I'm not fond of is the outcast rescue missions as they're all rather samey and dull, but that's just one turd stain on an otherwise thoroughly entertaining game. I've swapped out Shanky *visible shudder* and Guardians of the Galaxy for a couple of LEGO Marvel games (obviously I'm a fan). I've platinumed LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on an old account and I've had Avenger's in my sight for a while. I like LEGO games, as they're enjoyably grindy. There's lots of collectables, but it never reaches the point of being tedious, I find. I just remembered that now I have an excuse to play what Remains of Edith Finch Again. Hurrah! Hurrah! I intend to focus on Shadow of Mordor and get that done. I might play some today if I get some time. Again, keep the updates flowing in. I like reading about people with better drive and time-management skills than myself.

I like reading about people with better drive and time-management skills than myself. It's not always about time management though. On a site like this there will always be people with more free time than others. I love the Vita because it's a great system for people who have less free time because you can play for a few minutes here and there when you have downtime and it's amazing how quickly those minutes can add up to finishing a game. I know I'm going to be sad when I run out of Vita games to play because handhelds are great for players with less gaming time. Anyway, here's my update: 1. Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 (80%) (41 out of 53 trophies) 2. 英雄伝説 碧の軌跡 Evolution (Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki Evolution) (82%) (51 out of 57 trophies) 3. Omega Quintet (37%) (25 out of 55 trophies) 4. Asdivine Menace 5. Bonds of the Skies 6. Sephirothic Stories 7. Marenian Tavern Story: Patty and the Hungry God (0 out of 50 trophies) 8. 英雄伝説 零の軌跡 Evolution (Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki Evolution) 9. Murdered: Soul Suspect 10. Monochrome Order 11. Asdivine Kamura (Releases probably 11/5/19) (0 out of 38 trophies) 12. Word Wheel by POWGI (NA Vita) 331 out of 467 trophies earned so far, 7 out of 12 games completed. Beat Trails of Cold Steel 3 and am nearly done with my nightmare run in Ao no Kiseki. I'll say this, never play two games in the same series at the same time. Kept randomly pushing the down button to try and display the map when playing Ao and kept getting the buttons mixed up in CS3. Japanese games use for confirm and for cancel and it doesn't help that I did play CS3 in Japanese. Mostly am just working on wrapping up the miscellaneous trophies and nightmare runs in these two games. Am going to need a third run in Ao because I realized the NG+ specific secret boss is just not doable for me on nightmare. It probably will take me less time to just do a quick run on easy than it would to figure out a strategy that actually works on nightmare. I did wipe out the bonding trophies and unless the secret boss glitches on me, I shouldn't have an issue with the battle notebook trophy at least, sitting at 304/305 entries and 99.7% completion on that trophy. The game is about 15 hours if you skip all dialogue, do only the story required quests and skip all non-boss battles Also finished up the play for 100 hours trophy. Nice thing about working from home is that it's easy to leave the Vita on the power cord idling the game while I work, though I'll never see the point of a trophy like that in a game that doesn't carry over play time and takes far less than 100 hours to finish up when doing everything. Limited time on weekdays and pretty much no time on the weekend. I'm not complaining tho, I saw some great racing at COTA. Anyway, on the game, I thought I was done with combos but it turned out one of the DLCs' instructor wants you to do more combos. I mean combos wouldn't be bad in this game if they registered but many times they don't. On top of that the instructor fights back (they all do but not the ones in combo tutorials), so you find an opening, hope he doesn't block/evade and your input registers. Then I progressed a little in the story. Hey, if it sounds like I'm blabbering on about a bunch of nonsense it's the fatigue talking. Well, next week is a new week and everything will be back to normal. I would like to get to as close to the DBX2 plat as I can with one character (I have to create multiple races to do everything) except maybe Expert Missions by my next update. Also seeing so much racing this weekend has really put me in the mood too. I think I'm ready to start up Driveclub Bikes. Technically I already started it but only to got the online trophies done (and whatever came with them).

On the subject of the Vita; I was thinking about getting one, but apart from Uncharted: Golden Abyss I can't really find enough games to justify the purchase. There's more than enough good games on Vita, but to be honest, I've only played mostly what PlayStation Plus had to offer. Since that has been stopped, I also kind of stopped playing the Vita for quite some time. Games that come to mind are mostly multiplatform (Guacamelee, Oddworld New N Tasty, Need for Speed), but like @ladynadiad mentioned it's awesome for people that don't have a whole lot of free time or travel a lot. I just recently picked it back up to work on Killzone: Mercenary, which on it's own is a pretty good game, little easy but trophy wise a pain because of the huge grind you need to do. As for updates... Motivation right now is pretty much non existent so no improvement. I do want to add Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to the list since I've been playing that for a little bit and the platinum doesn't seem like too much trouble anyway. Mostly I've been playing games not eligible for this challenge, I'll get back to working on my list whenever I feel like the time is right. I won't be earning a whole lot this week, since I'm leaving for a business trip this Wednesday, and I won't be back until Saturday. Well here's my list with no updates except for the added Call of Duty Modern Warfare Shadow of the Tomb Raider - 91% (87/100) (PS4) The Last of Us - 79%(39/50) (PS3) God of War - 11% (8/37) (PS4) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - 8% (3/28) (PS4) Fallout 3 - 2% (3/73) (PS3) Metro: Last Light - 4% (4/71)(PS3) God of War Ascension - 4% (3/36) (PS3) Riptide GP: Renegade - 33% (13/25) (PS4) Until Dawn - 14% (4/19) (PS4) Rocksmith 2014 - 22% (15/48) (PS4) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hunting Simulator - 100% (31/31) (PS4) Mortal Kombat 11 - 100% (59/59) Happy Hunting Everyone!
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Weekend update for the first november weekend, we had a longer weekend due to a national holiday on Friday Borderlands TPS Fnee and I picked up our Borderlands Pre-Sequel again after a few weeks break due to illness and such things. No new trophies, but level and side mission progress. Witcher 3 Pest Control, Necromancer and Fiend or Foe? unlocked. Continued cleaning up the ? spots on Skellige, has nothing to do with trophies anymore but I just want to clean them up. I can use the money for the grandmaster gear in the Blood & Wine DLC. One of the abandoned sides glitched on me :(, a bit annoying but nothing to bad. I aim for the game to be plat 200 (11 away atm), so maybe I have to rush trough the story Unrelated to the event (more than 35% completion at the start) but I'd like to share: Driveclub Bikes Cleaned up all the missing DLCs trophies for this game. I don't have VR so I am done with Driveclub for now. I struggled with the Regera Time Trial, nearly 90min of driving until I finally had a good final sector. I came close to the 1:14.000 nearly every lap but just wasn't good enough I used a ghost as reference with a time of 1:13.5 so I had some margin and was up 7 tenths trough the first and second sector, but my final sector was horrendous. I cursed a lot, and then I finally "nailed" - for my skill level - the last 3 corners and finished the lap with a 1:13.1. AC: Odyssey Another game I finally got rid off. Did the missing 2 Lost Tales or whatever they are called. I don't mind if a game has new content a long time after release, but waiting for months just for some bronze trophies sucked.
Popular Post StilRh
Weekend update: Had some days off work, these were spend on friends and family so not much gaming time with the exception of yesterday which I spent a good 12 hours gaming Some new additions to the list Atelier Ryza and Superhot. Ryza is a dream to play, I love the alchemy and real time combat (I always like the different alchemy systems but I wasn't sure how real time combat would play out). Superhot is fun, I saw it released earlier but I was convinced it didn't have a platinum so I never thought about it. I'm aware of how many games I've got on the list at the moment and with upcoming Death Stranding, Jedi Fallen Order, Civilisation 6 etc coming up I wonder if I need a backlog challenge for my backlog challenge as many games have stalled after 15-20 hours. I hope to look at those when I have my days off - working nights this month, should give me a lot more flexibility for playing vidja. This game hasn't aged well, the camera and the fighting system are broken and the trophy for rewinding time less than 20 times will be a bitch. I just hope I won't have to beat the game twice... From my very vague recollection I remember this as being the easiest of the trilogy. Agree on it not aging well though and I played a few years back. Popular Post iXanon
Update #4: The main thing holding me back at the moment is a lack of spare time. That being said, I've made a fair amount of progress on LEGO Jurassic World this week - but to complete the challenge I know that I'll have to step my game up, and try to find some more gaming time from somewhere without upsetting the Mrs! ? Popular Post Together_Comic
Update 7 Superbeat Xonic and Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Superbeat Xonic Date Started: 7/12/2019 Trophies when Event Started: 16/33 Event Starting Percentage 29% Trophies after Update 7: 24/33 Updated Percentage 47% This is a Rhythm game that I started during Kill You Completion 10 (Shout out to KYC 11 going on now). Its a Vita game that is currently occupying my on the go when ever I have time to slowly grind away at the get level 99 and play 1000 tracks trophies as well as the 99999 combo. After that we have to play through all the songs, and then there's a fairly difficult campaign to conquer. Going to be a slow burn, but is a great play for 20-30 mins at a time game. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Date Started: 9/15/2019 Trophies when Event Started: 6/25 Event Starting Percentage 10% Trophies after Update 6 18/25 Updated Percentage 64% Trophies after Update 7 25/25 Updated Percentage 100% Date Completed 11/3/2019 This game was traditional Crash Bandicoot platforming fare. I will say that the time trials on this one felt a lot more tight then the ones on the first one, but there were no absolute nonsense like native fortress, stormy ascent, or the infamous High Road bridge level to complete. Crash also got a handful of helpful techs to make tricky jumps and skips. Overall, I don't this was particularly memorable compared to the first one, but still very enjoyable. Here's a summary for whats left to do. Game Trophies Percentage Final Fantasy IX 52/52 100% Final Fantasy VIII 0/35 0% Mass Effect 3 69/69 100% Crash Bandicoot 2 25/25 100% God of War: Ascension 5/36 8% Return of the Obra Dinn 17/17 100% Super Beat: Xonic! 24/33 47% Kingdom Come Deliverence 26/83 28% J Star Victory Vs+ 0/50 0%

Well difficulty itself is okay, as long as you don't have to struggle against the very fundamental mechanics such as a camera or health regeneration. That's my biggest problem with Sands of Time right now. You have long and tedious fights and you have to jump like a monkey around the area in between the enemies to drink from the fountain, otherwise you have to repeat the entire fight + without being to able to rewind time (and I wasted 5/6 rewinds because I pressed L1 accidentally) it's gonna be a chore for sure.
Popular Post TropicalOctavia
It's been a while since my last update, so here's a quick rundown. I finished one game and made some progress in several others on my event list. Outside of the event I finished AC Odyssey, which was sitting at 36% when I picked it back up to complete it, so I couldn't add it to this event unfortunately. The in game clock puts me at nearly 100 hours for my completion time, including time spent in the expansions, so that occupied my attention for the last two-three weeks. Also outside of the event I worked on Fallout 76, which is now at 95% completion, and I'm waiting on a double xp event to finish it off as the less time I have to play that mess of a game, the better. Below is my list, with some new additions for variety. Spoiler 1. (PS4) The American Dream - 100% 2. (PS4) The Escapists - 0% ➟ 100% 3. (PS4) Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power - 100% 4.
