Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, So I finished all the games on my list today. Got the platinum for the Outer Worlds yesterday. I enjoyed the game, but it also wasn't great. Especially needing to play it 2 more times to get al the trophies was kinda tedious, but I'm glad I finished the game. I finished Life is Strange 2 today and I really enjoyed this game. The story is engaging which I wasn't sure would happen. I loved the first one and the game in between. This game is different but engaging all the same. I liked the ending I got and of course, it's an easy platinum also. The VR part in Concrete Genie is also done. It's very pretty to play this game in VR and I got the trophies fast. It would have been really nice to have been able to play the whole game in VR actually, but this mode is nice also. Because we still have 2 weeks to go, I'll add Patapon Remastered to my list. I'll try to finish that game before the challenge ends. I started the game during the challenge but didn't add it yet because I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time to finish. Now I'll add the game anyways. Popular Post freddie1989
Small update for me but an update nonetheless. Made some progress on MK X working on respect points on KoTH which as with the rest is just a grind! Then played Watch Dogs 2 with @neospoon which has an absurdly cruel trophy that we have almost finished. Did a couple of the other operations today so only 4 trophies left on that. Hoping to finish that and make a bit more MK progress and that will likely be it for me on this challenge, on to Spring! Made a tiny bit of progress in The Witness, I'm planning on at least finishing that one before the end of this event. Graveyard Keeper is still bugged for me, I tried it a few days ago and also some of the recommended fixes, still no luck. I really do not feel like replaying the game, so I will put that on hold for now.
Popular Post MattbluePT
This has been a busy season and I didn't have the time I thought to complete the games I wanted, so I'm making some changes, trying to at least complete this event. I'm going to drop Thief and AC3 Remastered, as I don't think I'll do them on time, as I'm trying to complete Digimon this month and it still needs a lot of grind. Popular Post Together_Comic
Update 15 Megaman 11 Told myself that if I hadn't finished N++ by this weekend that I would go ahead and start this, and surprise surprise N++ turned out to be silly amounts of difficult and I didn't get particularly close. So I went ahead and started this and it has been a good change of pace. So far I've only played through 1 section, but the gear system is interesting and adds some charm to an old formula. Combat feels good so far, though the platforming is a little rough around the edges especially on ice. Hopefully as I get used to the game it will feel a bit better. Superhero difficulty is, as expected, brutal. It looks like it eliminated health drops or tank drops that should be there and either eliminated checkpoints or this game has the worst check point system since Jak 2. Not to mention every enemy does a lot of damage, but everything feels mostly fair. Haven't made a lot of progress on the trophies, some of them seem kind of brutal too, but more on them as I play the game more. On the whole, I am optimistic. Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Mid-week update for me, with Platinum 136: Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. I spent over 100 hours with this game and while the story, setting characters were really enjoyable for me - the bugs, glitches and performance issues were relentless from start to finish. There is a megathread of PS4 issues on the Obsidian forums and while the issues aren't gamebreaking, progressing through this platinum was often a struggle. I would absolutely recommend this game, especially if you liked the previous game. But i'd also absolutely recommend waiting a while for a few more patches to help take the edge of the litany of bugs the game has right now. We're super close to the Spring challenge! So excited! Popular Post Briste
So it has been a very long time since my last update...unfortunately for this event (but I'm enjoying the game so it's ok...) I've been wrapped up in Path of Exile and haven't made a ton of progress. I did finish Indigo Prophecy and may be able to finish Hard Rain before the end of the month and get halfway through that series...but MLB The Show 19 will stay at 90% and I won't be able to touch the Mass Effects, Alien: Isolation or Spec Ops: The Line...I did add two other games that were in my backlog but not on my original list that I was able to beat. Rocketbirds 1 and 2 on the vita. While I'm disappointed I won't finish everything...I did make a pretty decent dent into my backlog so thank you for the event! I'll make one more update at the end to see if I was able to finish Hard Rain. So out of 29 games for the event, I finished 19...I'll take it! Popular Post AuroraHistoire
Children Ruin Everything ~ Mass Effect 3 Mass Effect 3 is probably my favorite game to play in the series. The gameplay usually felt the best to play. The enemies did get a little grenade spammy sometimes. The only major difference was that you can combat roll. There were times I just spammed the combat roll to not die and it worked more often then not. The story in Mass Effect 3 is really good... aside from the ending/s and any point of the game where "the child" is on screen. The plot can get a bit depressing sometimes but when a race of massive almost unkillable aliens is systematically eliminating and/or indoctrinating every intelligent life form in the galaxy, I don't except the entire plot to sunshine and rainbows. There is a DLC where you play around in a combat simulator and throw a epic house party. You have to a small really well done sub-plot where you need to kill your evil (or in my case good) twin. They force you to use a pistol in a few sections of that DLC. Those sections were a absolute nightmare because I only used sniper rifles for 90% of the game. One of most important choices of my playthrough was when I cured the genophage for the Krogan. I told Wrex I was going to do it back in Mass Effect 1 and I didn't want to break my promise. Smoke Grenades are Ridiculously Over Powered ~ Valkyria Chronicles I speedran Valkyria Chronicles for the second time and it went well. I got A-Rank every skirmish mission that was required for trophies. The hard difficulty missions were very challenging until I figured out how ridiculously overpowered smoke grenades are. As long as your in the smoke, the enemy team doesn't know you exist. If you shoot from inside the smoke, then they know exactly where you are. If you take a step out and step back in then they can't see you again. Also, Nancy Defour died again in an accident involving running directly over land mines. Being Good Feels Alright ~ Fallout 3 Fallout 3 is a RPG with guns where you can be anybody you want. Well anybody who had their mother die during your birth, grows up in Vault 101, your tenth birthday party was terrible, your dad decides to leave Vault 101 to buy cigarettes, abandoning you at the tender age of... 18-22 probably and you have to go out in the Wasteland to find him. You don't really have a choice in the matter since most people want you dead because your dad broke the most important rule of Vault 101, you don't ever leave. Once get out of the Vault and into the Capital Wasteland with its lovely green filter, the gets a lot more open. You are also frequently given the choice to do good or bad things. I'm usually kind of a menace to everyone when I play games but I decided to do something I usually never do, do nice things for people. It felt kind of good to do good things. I was able to conserve more usual since I was shooting less people. I was given a house in nice town for disarming the nuclear bomb in the center of town. A Guilty Pleasure ~ Hyperdimension Neptunia Hyperdimension Neptunia is probably not a very good game but I like it. The plot is about a girl named Neptune, who is a CPU (Console Patron Unit). Herself and the three other CPUs are fighting each other in the Console War. The three others decide to team up and kill Neptune. They manage to beat her up and she falls down from their home in the sky down really far into another floating mass of land in the sky. Neptune survives the fall but has a weird dream where a girl called Histoire tells her to find 4 key fragments, to unlock the door or something to free Histoire. Neptune also gets amnesia from the whole experience. Luckily, a nursing school student named Compa saw Neptune stuck in the ground and was kind enough to carry Neptune back to her house and treat her few scratches. The two team up because Neptune has her mission and Compa's school is closed because of monster attacks. What I really like about this game is that monster attacks are an actual problem. In most RPGs I feel that taking two steps outside of town and getting attacked by monsters is a totally normal thing. Oh, monsters actually wander into towns and attack people (in visual novel style cutscenes); there being a little rude by not staying in their territory. The plot later becomes about defeating the old lady who is summoning all the monsters. You need the venture into the other CPU's nations for the key fragments and they don't really like you. They'll try to kill Neptune and her party despite you're pretty solving a major crisis for them. Getting the other CPU's in your party for the true ending is an absolute nightmare. The gameplay is dungeon explore with "random" encounters. The encounters are based off a step counter and there is no RNG for when you'll get a encounter. Dungeons in this game are mostly hallways with a few large room that are dead ends. You can also find where the boss is by opening up your map and finding the large room that's furthest away from where you start. I'm serious, I only remember one dungeon where that trick didn't work. The battle system in this game is very unique. You can only attack or defend. Attacking is a very complex system where you make a combo of 4 inputs. You bind moves in a menu outside of battle for every possible button combination. Your moves have an AP (action point) cost (higher AP costs usually means it's a more powerful attack) and usually the stronger moves can only be bound to the 3rd or 4th button of your button combination. The last move of the combo may have a special effect like combo link, switch or transform. Combo link will give you more AP points and the first input of your new combo will be the same button you activated the combo link with. Switch will have the party member you're paired with take your place in battle; they have full AP and can attack, if they haven't already haven't been used this turn. Transform is exclusive to CPU characters. They go through a Sailor Moon transformation sequence, change appearance and are stronger. A characters turn ends when they don't have enough AP or defend. Healing items in this game is a bit complicated. You can't heal manually inside or outside battle. Items for healing and curing status aliments are like skills that characters have a chance to use automatically if conditions apply. For example, if character takes damage and their HP is lowered to below 30%, they may use a healing item. You can set how likely a character will use a skill if the proper conditions are met (0%-100%). A character has a certain number of item points they can equip (your maximum amount increases by leveling up); 1 item = 1%. Healing items are not free, you have 4 types medicine bottles and each healing item requires multiple bottles of at least 1 type, if not multiple, to use. The battle system sounds really complicated but it's really fun after you learn how to use it. This game has magic but it's tied to combos. Some characters use magic in more traditional while some pull out a gun and start shooting. Your magic attacks don't have any specific elements tied to them and you switch what type of magic your attack is with L1 & R1 after you obtain the magic bullet of that type. Don't Copy That Floppy ~ Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 Apparently the nice polite messages at the start of some games telling you to not pirate the game (or threatening to throw a puppy into a woodchippers if you pirated the game) wasn't enough to stop piracy. This game is a thinly veiled don't pirate games PSA. The plot is that the CPU's from the first game get tangled in some magic evil electrical wires, so their little sisters have to save them. Also, there is a evil organisation that spreads piracy (and cheating in games) around to the point where nobody buys games and all the game developers starve to death or find other jobs. The dungeons are a bit better. Random encounters are gone. You now see enemies in dungeons and can choose to battle them or not. The dungeons feel at lot more open. The gameplay for this Neptunia is changed drastically. You now have skills that use SP. You can gain SP by landing attacks or using a SP restoring item. You also use healing items normally. The combo attack system is a lot less complex now, I guess. You have a maximum of 9 slots for attacks, 3 for each type. Stronger attacks cost more points. There are three types of attacks. are rush attacks. Rush attacks don't deal a lot of damage but hit the enemy multiple times. are power attacks. Power attacks deal high amounts of damage. are break attacks. Break attacks deal more damage to enemy's guard gauge. Enemies have a guard gauge and when it's empty you deal more damage (that mechanic is also Hyperdimension Neptunia but I forgot to mention it). There are special additional moves that can be activated by pressing certain button combinations. Action Points are still required to attack and they're also required for using skills and items. The combat feels a lot faster in this game then Hyperdimension Neptunia. This game also feels very easy to complete. Unfortunately, the story is not very good. It's rarely as funny as the other Neptunia games and is mildly interesting at best. There are a few good moments but the majority of the game isn't good. Running Away is a Great Tactic ~ Dark Souls I don't know the plot of this game at all. You just run around, kill anything that moves and collect all the things for trophies. You do die occasionally because the usually enemies hit hard and the few that don't, bring friends. I got myself a few really big swords so I could hit them back harder. If that didn't work, I just ran past my problems. Running is a surprisingly effective way of to deal with most problems. Most things can't keep up with you and they usually don't chase you very far. The only problem that running doesn't solve are the boss fights. Actually, two of them require running at the boss. I didn't find most of the bosses to be very difficult. Ornstein and Smough were a absolute nightmare to fight against. Solaire was usually borderline useless when I summoned him to help. Well, he did fight final boss and almost won; fortunately I was around to get revenge for his behalf. I was also usually on my best behavior in this game. I only murdered a few innocent people that didn't pick fights with me and it was only because I needed to loot a item off their corpse for trophy reasons. Too Many Hits to the Solar Plexus ~ Steins;Gate Steins;Gate was quite boring and I only played it out of obligation. Those were my feelings for the first 6-8 hours of the game. Once the story got good, I couldn't put it down. I'm a bit conflicted to say if a game where half the story was mildly interesting at best. A lot of your choices were not very important. Most unlock wallpapers, songs and stuff for trophies if you answer correctly. The few that actually matter, just give you a different game ending and most of them are obvious. The true ending is pretty complicated to get and I looked up. I would have eventually trail & errored my way to success but I would have just gotten frustrated and had a bad time. Too Much Stealth ~ Gravity Rush 2 Gravity Rush 2 is a great sequel that improves on the original in every way possible... Except that are way too many instant failure if you're spotted stealth sections and you are rarely allowed to use your powers during those sections. Those stealth sections just ruined the game for me. They're not even designed very well. The game also really heavily uses the photo mode feature to a ridiculous degree. There are multiple trophy tied to this feature and a lot of the side quests use it in some way. Photo mode is a nice feature and really well done. There are some nice bits in the game. I was a lot fun when I wasn't required to be stealthy. It's Just Not the Same Without Garrus ~ Mass Effect: Andromeda I was expecting a massive dumpster fire of a game from Mass Effect: Andromeda because of the terrible things I've heard about it. I'm happy to say the game is okay. It's not amazing like the other Mass Effect games but if you set your expectations very low, it's decent. The combat is the best part by far. You're unrestricted with your character build in single-player. You have a rocket booster that improves mobility and is generally fun to use. You automatically take cover when near any object that could possibly act as cover; surprisingly that feature works well and rarely ever messes up. The vehicle you use in this game actually feels good to drive and there is no vehicle combat. The story is okay at best. A few of the characters I liked and most I never talked to unless I had to. A good number of the main story missions and your parties personal side quest missions are good. Every other mission is usually bad open world quests. You either collect things around the map or just kill some enemies. Mass Effect: Andromeda is kind of an open world game. You get 6 planets that have rather large areas to explore. Most of the areas are not very interesting. I thought the multiplayer matches in Mass Effect 3 usually went on for too long. The matches in Andromeda are a bit shorter but ME3's multiplayer is still better. ME3 has more characters that are more fun to play. They're both ruined by aggressive loot boxes tho. Also, I think the PS3 multiplayer was just as active (if not more) as Andromeda's multiplayer in my experience. Making Friends ~ Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart This game is a tactical RPG that's a bit like Fire Emblem. There is no permanent death or getting married and having kids. The plot centers around Noire uniting everyone together and making friends. You do that by beating up anybody who dares to oppose your small army. Noire is a tsundere and tsundere are not known for their social grace. To her credit, she usually tries diplomacy before restoring to violence. The gameplay consists of moving Noire and friends around a grind. Each turn your allowed to move to any space within a characters movement range and attack, use a skill, use a item, lift a box (and throw it), use a EXE Drive attack, transform (if they're a CPU) or a few other actions I'm forgetting about. You can also do a action from that list first and move second if you like. Your goal is usually to deafet the boss. A lot of the maps have unique gimmicks that you need to tolerate. For the most part the game is not challenging (especially on easy difficulty) unless you're severely under leveled. Occasionally the boss will K.O most of your troops in 1 move. This game is very grindy trophy wise. I had three rather lengthy grinding experiences for multiple different trophy types. Majora's Mask but not as Good ~ Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls I don't have much to say about this game. It's another Neptunia game that exists. The Sega Hard Girls are in the game and I never used the Neptunia characters once I unlocked them. The plot is about monster called Time Eater eating history. You face of against it and lose until you eventually win. In between matches you can do varies side quests or play main quests. The main missions are mostly watching visual novel style cutscenes with the occasional boss battle. The game was okay. She is so Slow It's Painful ~ Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory In this instalment of the Neptunia series, Neptune gets transported to an different dimension. It's almost the same as her Dimension with mostly the same people, they just where different clothes. Also, the CPU of Planeptune is Plutia instead of Neptune. The Neptune of Plutia's dimension probably starved to death. Plutia also kind of sucks since all you does is sleep more than a Snorlax and talk very slowly. If Plutia was giving narration to this post, we would still be on Fallout 3 (if she didn't fall asleep). Nepgear (little sister of Neptune & protagonist of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2) becomes a plot relivent character half way through the game and every single character makes cruel jokes about her every chance they get. Nepgear wasn't a very good protagonist (I didn't mention her in mk2 section) and mk2 wasn't very good by Neptunia standards. That gives everyone the excuse to borderline bully her. She actually gets depressed for awhile because of how poorly she was treated. There is an entire ending that screws her over. It's mesmerizing just how much hate she gets. The actual plot of Victory is that Neptune is stuck in Plutia's dimension and can't get back to her own. There is this shady organisation call The Seven Sages who hate CPUs and occasionally come up with schemes to defeat them. The Seven Sages are not a major threat most of the time and just beat them up when they act up. Gameplay changes for this entry are that actions point don't exist anymore and the EXE Drive has been added. The EXE Drive is a little gauge of 4 littlebars that fills by landing hits. Once you land enough hits to fill are bar or two, you can end your normal attack combos with extra moves (the bar just needs to be filled and it doesn't consume it) or you can spend a bar to preform a EXE Drive attack. EXE Drive attacks extremely powerful and are an absolute spectacle to watch. A Remake That's Nothing Like the Original ~ Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 The game uses all the game mechanics and assests from Victory. The story is Hyperdimension Neptunia but they rewroted most of the plot. The beginning is the same but though out the game the other CPUs are a lot nicer, don't try to kill you, actually join your party without having to do 20 dungeons and win a one on one battle. I liked the story of this game more then the original but I really miss the combat system of the original game. The full game list is in the spoiler tag. Popular Post Together_Comic
Update 16 Megaman 11 Coming down to the wire, and I'm afraid that I won't get it done. Currently I'm playing off and on with superhero difficulty, and casual difficulty with no items, and no super weapons for the midbosses and bosses trophies. Tentatively I'm hoping for Monday - Finish the game on Super hero difficulty Tuesday - Finish the game on Casual Difficulty and get correlated trophies. Wednesday - Finish up all the miscellaneous trophies for each level and do the challenge mode stuff (the guide makes this sound like it won't be to bad...) Thursday - Speed Run... Friday - Dr. Light's Trial... I'm probably optimistic with that especially the speedrun and lights trial, but here's hoping we can follow through. That being said, I don't have much going on this week, so I should be able to devote a significant amount of time to the game to try and finish up. As far as the game itself, I am liking it more than I did initially. Each of the weapons are cool and useful in there on right and the bosses and sub bosses are all really good. The platforming is becoming easier as I understand it better (read get used to the lag frames...) As we wind down, lets race to the finish, melee style everyone Anyway, here's an updated summary of what's left. ~ TC Game Trophies Percentage Final Fantasy IX 52/52 100% Mass Effect 3 69/69 100% Crash Bandicoot 2 25/25 100% God of War: Ascension 36/36 100% Return of the Obra Dinn 17/17 100% Final Fantasy XV 98/98 100% Titanfall 2 51/51 100% Mega Man 11 28/51 40% Swaps 3/7 Drops 1/2

Popular Post Geridian
Hi all, hope you are all having fun. Seems to be that my last update was one month and two weeks ago. Work work... I will probably have to admit defeat as I simply have no success with some games: Threshold: 5 games max. 35% Used swaps: 1/7 Used drops: 0/2 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (PS3) ==> (61/61) (12/10/2019) [LINK] Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered ==> (41/41) (04/10/2019) [LINK] Final Fantasy XV (EU/PS4) ==> 88% (90/98) (98/98) (19/01/2020) [LINK] Dark Souls (PS3) ==> (41/41) (30/11/2019) [LINK] Playstation VR Worlds (PS4/PSVR) ==> 73% (21/27) [LINK] Child of Light (PS4) ==> (20/20) (01/12/2019) [LINK] Red Dead Redemption (PS3) ==> (91/91) (21/10/2019) [LINK] Moss (PS4/PSVR) ==> Currently not on profile [LINK] DreamWorks Voltron VR Chronicles (PS4/PSVR) ==> (13/13) (24/02/2020) [LINK] Vikings: Wolves of Midgard (PS4) ==> 62% (29/32) 78% (35/39) [LINK] With which games do I have problems and what exactly is the problem? Playstation VR Worlds Danger Ball just keeps kicking my butt. Beating the whole tournament and hope to beat the last opponent without getting a goal yourself, beating opponents on hard in free play and mastering score attack need more dedication then I can offer at the moment. Vikings: Wolves of Midgard Some trophies only pop if you are host and not for player two, some trophies even don't pop if you are host and the requirements are met 100%. Got tired of this game. Moss I don't think I can squeeze 10 hours in from now until the end of the event to get this game to 100% platinum. But hey, I don't feel bad at all! Why? With Final Fantasy XV, Read Dead Redemption and Dark Souls I where able to finish three games which where either hard or just got a monster of a trophy list. Where able to play and finish Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered in the game's release week and came out as 3.rd person in the first platinum achievers list. I bet VR Ludge in Playstation VR Worlds and the other games with the exception of Danger Ball 100%. I finished the trophy set of DreamWorks Voltron VR Chronicles up to 100% which only 31 game owners did before me. Also I where able to finish some games which I didn't add for this challenge: Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut, Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent, Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Xeodrifter and good old Final Fantasy VII. Basically: That's it. At the moment I just don't know if I use my two drops and one of six remaining swaps to finish a fast game. But actually this feels like cheating. We will see what happens. I hope you're luckier than me.

I have done all the games I said I would do. It's been a long couple of months but it was fun to take part in. BioShock was a pain in the butt. I didn't have fun when I first played it, but I thought that it was just my mind set back then. Well I can't say if it was or not, but doing a run on Survivor with no Vita-Chambers really didn't help my feeling towards the game. I'm pretty sure my opinion has improved since I did enjoy it more then I did last time, but I really could only play it in chunks, which is why it took me almost a month to beat it. This was the first time playing the DLC and it was a mixed bag. The ‘I’ in Team is easy and doesn't have that much replay value after one go. A Shocking Turn of Events was really interesting, and was probably the best combination of gameplay and trophies. Worlds of Hurt was the best mode, but had the worst trophy. I loved that you could tackle almost any of the rooms in any order and as such you could have so many tactics to go through the mode. The Expert trophy however, gives you next to no time to complete it. I really almost gave up on it. Brave was alright. Haven't seen the movie, but I can follow it pretty well. Though I'm pretty sure most of what happened it the game didn't happen in the movie, but whatever. Fairly short game, but honestly the Brave difficulty was pretty hard. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was good, but I had fun with it (up until I had to grind for all the upgrades).

Popular Post Fnee2000
Final update... Well, the final tally for me was 33 games completed, 15 not completed. I only got one game done this month in Beyond Two Souls. However, that is one game that had been travelling with me from a few past challenges. So it was nice to get it off my list. I wish I could have completed all of them but AC Odyssey ate away most of my October and November. Then in January I shifted towards trying to finish up games that were already on my trophy list to try and get that completion rate up. It is a goal I am going to try to continue for this year. Clear off as much as I can. I went with a smaller list for the Spring Challenge, so here is hoping I can finally clear a list. This extended challenge was fun but also a learning experience. Anyway, my final updated list for the challenge... Game Sys. Start % Current % Comp.
