Now it seems they ceased, which if so renders the trophy "Die Will You" unobtainable. I've sent through a support request to Netherrealm and will update this thread as soon as I get a response. You must be unfamiliar with *insert annualized sports game* and its timed challenges, which are usually tied to a trophy, support for which tends to be dropped less than half a year after release, while other online keep on ticking... for a while, anyways. Now, I'm a man of peace... but if the person or persons who thought tying trophies to online components were a good idea, were to meet a sudden and ignominious end by having a Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet dropped on them... Since most of the things in the game are linked to the server, I really should get the Lvl up, Kombat Modifiers, and online trophies really soon. Also, i've contacted wbgames support on twitter : @WBGamesSupport "Hello, there is no "invasion events" on Mortal Kombat X (PS4) since 24th july, it used to be every 3-4 days, could you check if something happened? cheers" Their answer : "Thank you for your report! I have submitted a bug report to the game team on your behalf so that they can ensure Invasion Events in MKX are working as intended." ObsceneSociopath Posted August 14, 2019 Share Posted August 14, 2019 While I can't really fault Netherrealm for wanting to bring the online support for MKX to a close (the game has been out since April 2015 to be fair) so they can focus full on MK11 support, it is one hell of a dick move to not announce it first & there is no defence for that. So? If the online is active and the playerbase is there does not excuse to just shut it down. SF4 is still active. Yet SSF4 on ps3, on ps4 and even SFV released. Same thing with Blazblue. I can't see them shutting down these servers yet - especially not one section of it! You keep saying that you don't see a company shutting down one particular part of an online experience, but there's: Dirt 2: only the Dirtnet tournaments are shut down, the online itself remains up to this day. Pretty much any daily/weekly challenge/tournament feature in an EA Sports game Need for Speed The Run's autolog feature GTA5 ps3's Bounty feature BO2's league play feature. All features of an online that were shut down deliberately. I obviously don't know if this problem with MK:X is deliberate or unintended, but don't let the idea of "a specific feature of the online can't be discontinued seperately" fool you. These features are viewed as much less of a priority than the main server and so when player numbers dwindle/a new installment comes out, the infrastructure behind them will become less maintained. It's a damn shame that this is happening. I've started MK9, which still works really well, but then the sequel is busted. I'm done with MKX, but it's still sad for everyone else that still didn't. Hopefully it comes back soon, so people can finish that. I'm waiting for PVZ GW2 to be avaiable to be completed as well. Funny you should say that, because that is the game I had in mind when I went to make the post, got distracted, then forgot to add it as an example ?
