Level 7 Talismans or EX Hard?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I'm on Endless Eden, been having great fun grinding Augites, got about 15 wins with each enemy in the Colosseum, so far so good!

But then.................

I just figured out I need to get Augites from other places, I need money and BP to buy all the rest.....

I've done a calculation of all I need to get all the Augites which is:-

870000 CHIPS -> 87,000,000
132000 BP

And this isn't including the money I need to upgrade the talismans and all the other 2 rare items I need to each upgrade each time...

So am I missing something?! This seems like an INSANE amount of resources I need to get.

Do I really need to grind another 99,999,999 in money and that "highest" ranking race which nets about 1200BP each time.

I mean I struggled to grind that first 99,999,999 for that sub quest as it was. I didn't waste it, but I've already spend the first 99,999,999 that I earned, , I don't seem to have any items that increase grinding or give me BP boosts.

Am I really going to have to play that Ken Clubhost Minigame another 80 times to get the money and another 130 races to get the BP required?!

This is like, another 30-50 hours of gameplay, just to grind for Talismans I will never use... I'm thinking that I should continue my save into EX Hard, now I'm certain to get a few Augites along the way, but won't this mean I will lose my Ken Club minigame progress? I will have to unlock all the courses and find all the girls again, not to mention that when you get to EX Hard, aren't these modes even harder? Also when you complete EX Hard, and start another Endless Eden, can you set the game back to Easy? I know you can choose between Easy, Normal, and Hard but once you get to EX Hard, I hear you can't change the difficulty.

Should I finish off this shitty Talisman grind before starting EX Hard?

I have this fear that if I start EX Hard, that driving mini game is going to be stuck at impossible difficulty and then I will need to play a THIRD time, by continuing my save game into normal difficulty again... The guide says 90hours for this game and I am ALREADY at 120 hours....

Anyone here who has the platinum, can you give me any advice? Many thanks :)

I do not have the platinum yet but I would suggest continuing grinding...for chips, play blackjack with the card item equipped that give you luck. All the required chips should be earned in max 2 hours. For BP races sadly you just have to continue racing. Its the worst part imo.

I think I upgraded most of the talismans, horrible grinding I agree but you don't have to go all the way with manager ken. I dropped the game because of Doctor ken minigame, that one was infuriating.

That was my approach at least, maybe someone else will have a better input

It really depends on which Talisman you still need to upgrade and your level since you can't obtain every ability in one playthrough. Lin's talisman is the main one that might be a saving grace for the EX Hard run, since she can resurrect you when you reach 0 health otherwise the game will force you to reload your last manual save since there's checkpoints.

You can't change the difficulty on EX hard whatsoever, you'll have to NG+ once more if you want to switch the difficulty back. Yes, you'll lose your progress on substories  - including the cabaret (not sure if races reset) - but your casino chips and BP won't reset. Try to check the guides on this website since they list which Augites you get from substories and such.

Yeah, I'd say continue on with the grind on your current playthrough. I made the mistake of grinding the last levels I need to get to obtain every skill on EX Hard (and I don't wanna see the colosseum on EX Hard). But one thing is for sure is to be max level and have the flamethrower Talisman before starting EX Hard since a trophy requires you to use the flamethrower against Thouzer.

Yes, you should do it on your current playthrough. For money you could also try selling items and augites you're certain you don't need. Otherwise I forget what else I did in order to get money. And yeah, unfortunately you have to race the final track for racing BP since that gives you the most.

But even if you go into EX Hard I'm pretty sure the mini-games won't be harder since they have their own difficulties. But still, you should just try and get the talismans now since I'm pretty sure you would have to replay the hostess club and race tracks again from the start while keeping your best girls and car parts. Have you looked at these from the guide?

I only have 5 trophies left, I did all the Colosseum and Sub missions, basically wanted everything finished except the Souther flame thrower trophy and completing EX-Hard. I have ALL the augites from the battle arena, although most are still at 5 or 6 stars due to missing some rare upgrade item. I still have none of my talismans on 7 stars.

Thanks for the tip Copanele, I tried Blackjack with the charm just now and indeed I managed to go from 10000 to 100,000 chips in about 10 minutes. I definitely will be using that in the future, many thanks for that. I actually enjoy BlackJack so this will be a fun grind, I had no idea by playing you could get all the way up to 10000 bet.

If the driving thing is the only grind I have left, well I guess I will have to grin and bear it. Watch something on youtube while grinding, it felt like it took forever to get 20000bp for that one armour before reloading my game. Man, who ever thought this was a good idea, shame on the devs...

Thanks for all your help guys, this has really helped, I definitely won't be starting EX-Hard just yet, at least I have BlackJack to cut down one of the grinds.

PS I went back to the Doctor ken minigame and noticed there were no Augites there, what made you give up there? Or at a guess, some of the final songs were quite hard?

You are welcome, glad that I made your grind to be less painful xD

And related to Dr Ken... yes the final 3 songs are atrocious. It's the Surgical Precision trophy and you need to do all 6 songs without missing a beat. I hate rhythm games to no end so I decided to drop it there and retry whenever I feel like it. I'd gladly farm for 200 augites in racing games rather than trying that abysmal match-the-button game

Yes indeed some of those songs were quite tough, wasn't there an item to help with that mini game? I can't remember.

What I did was sit further away from the TV and got in the rhythm with the tune using headphones, if you sit further away you can't see those circles which I felt sometimes made you press the button too early so I'd try playing the song without using relying on those circles at all.

I also put a rag over the top right of my TV so I couldn't see my combo, If I saw it, I'd often panic when I knew the song was over or suddenly play really badly from getting tense.

From this evening I now have 22000BP and 240,0000 chips.... Still a way to go on both, but at least I'm making some progress.

I can't seem to find out how to trade "Processed Gold", I used that secret trader in SW waste land but I can't for the life of me get him to trade me that.

Perhaps some items can only be trades using BP?

The item only helps you get S Ranks easier unfortunately, so you have to pretty much not miss a beat for that mini-game.

As for the gold, I think Bat is the one that gives you some.

Ok, so two weeks later, I finally got this trophy. Man it was longer than I thought, aside from the casino and racing, there was more money earning and arena battles I DEFINITELY had to do.

At the very least, you also need six star incense costs 12000 and seven incense costs 30000, so that's another 42000 x 25ish battle points I had to grind from the arena. four, five etc are cheap enough. But in the end you need roughly 250 duel wins at the arena, I did 80 extra battles against Wiggle the barbarian guy, third opponent (or however he is spelt in English version) (I earned 2.8 million points in total) 120 bart races and 1.4ish million casino chips. Oh and don't forget you need about 20,000,000IDL as well just to upgrade all the talismans, thankfully selling 70 augites at 100,000 each really helped.

Man glad that is over. The guide should point out that you need at least another 20 hours of gameplay JUST for this trophy.
