Welp just like with sequel to Blade Runner I'm gonna stay away from this one as well. I too want to add that the new Blade Runner is a fantastic movie. Maybe it won't be what you expect, but it's certainly made with a lot of care and reverence for the original. Besides, it's just beautiful to look at and tells an interesting story in the same world that isn't just a rehash or soft reboot of the original. Matrix 4, whatever. 1 was the coolest fucking thing 1999, but the sequels weren't. It felt like the Wachowskis took years to develop the ideas for the original and then had to make the sequels as fast as possible without any clue what they wanted to do. Maybe now they had enough time to come up with something interesting again.

And I just didn't want that, but now reading your replies it kinda made me curious. I don't think that I'm fully convinced to watch it, but I might check out what other people thinks and maybe look for some spoiler free reviews. So was I. Bladerunner is my favourite movie of all time, and I was incredibly sceptical- but I will say to you what I think is the best compliment I can give about the sequel: I now don’t rewatch the original without also rewatching the sequel - it is as much a part of the experience as the first one IMO. I’d encourage you to give it a go, from one fan to another, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised

The ending as ambiguous as it was, it was just perfect and I never felt like it needed a continuation. That was it, case closed the "good guys" won the day and our "hero" got the girl he wanted. What happened next to Deckard and Rachael was up to imagination. My other concern is besides V for Vendetta the Wachowski siblings have had a terrible track record of decent movies and I have no hope for a good Matrix film. Maybe I am just getting old...but I prefer my films ending as oppose to just going on and on and on until no one cares anymore (star wars and marvel films...to mention a few)
Terra
Well, I won’t see it, I thought Revolutions tied up things nicely even though it was just an ok movie for me. I prefer Reloaded and the original.

For The Matrix, I'm sure they know that just "good" is not good enough. Even if Lilly is sitting this one out, being committed to Showtime's Work In Progress... I still am holding out hopes for this. There's been plenty of time.
