colinmazzini
I am still stuck on my A game. I have finished all non-dlc trophies in Alice Madness Returns, except I just cannot get that stupid neighslaying trophy. I'll keep trying that and start working on the dlc and then probably skip Batman for now. I'll move on to Costume Quest or Datura.

GraniteSnake
Second game finished. An enjoyable co-op focused R&C featuring the usual heroes, except this time Nefarious has joined forces with them. Him and Quark ended up providing a lot of laughs, especially as the adventure drew to a close. It's not your typical R&C and takes a bit of getting used to, but it's a game worth playing if you're a fan of the series. A few of the trophies were slightly convoluted, but none of them were all that difficult. The grind to 1,000,000 bolts wasn't bad either, especially when you allow Clank to destroy everything in the final level for you in his Ryno Suit! Nexus and Size Matters are the only R&C games I have left to play.. I'll also redo the trilogy on my Vita at some point for definite. I've started Amnesia Collection, and I plan on it being my next platinum. I've been following a text guide for the collectables, resorting to a video guide only when I get confused. I've never been a big fan of the horror genre, but I'm willing to give this game a go regardless.

Popular Post flashpool23
Finally finished my first game! 100%. N (1 out of 2 N games). So I've been working on my other N game but realized this one is pretty short so I decided to complete it as my first game of this event. Now I've heard of gum helping you focus (whether it's through studying or exams), but Nelson Tethers takes it to a whole other level! For him, gum helps him complete puzzles (of which this game is full of). However, a trophy requires not to use any gum (so no hints basically). This isn't so bad except some of the puzzles are a bit hard to complete on your own (on my own?). I have to give a special mention to the gear puzzle near the end as that one had me look up the solution since I was on a no gum routine. Anyways, the story has you going into a small town to figure out why an eraser factory has closed. Turns out, nobody knows. Or do you just need to investigate? I won't spoil too much as it's story focused but I did appreciate the humor of this game. And the fact that you kinda figure out what's going on alongside your character makes it a good experience, as I didn't figure it out right at the start. So yeah, this game is worth playing through. It's left room for a sequel, of which I think exists on PC, but even without it I think it's worth at least an afternoon of gaming.
Popular Post AuroraHistoire
I Died More Times this Week then I Died in Dark Souls I completed A Rose in Twilight, Broforce, Riddled Corpses EX, Uncanny Valley, Xeodrifter and Zone of the Enders HD Edition this week. I have been making progress in Everybody's Golf and htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. I also decided to load up every game for this event (excluding 4 because I don't have the HD space for them) to put every trophy list on my profile. My profile looks like my old report cards now. A Rose in the Twilight is a little gem of a game where you solve puzzles and die trying. Seriously, you will die a lot in this game. You earn a gold trophy for dying 100 times and I obtained it naturally. You play as Rose and a giant rock with arms and stubby legs. Rose has the ability to absorb blood from objects and transfuse blood to other objects. Objects without blood have no physics and don't do anything while objects with blood do things. This is the core mechanic of most of the puzzles. The giant can carry and throw objects. Rose is a delicate little girl who falls on her face when she falls an annoying short distance. She can also die of fall damage; the fall damage distance isn't that much. Rose will die in one hit, so don't get hit. Fortunately, the giant is invincible. You are required to switch between the two at the press of a button (there is no co-op) to solve puzzles with the powers of blood, throwing and friendship. The giant can also carry (and throw) Rose, so you move both characters at the same time. Both characters can jump backwards (you can also jump the boring normal way) and if you keep chaining jumps together, you can jump backwards indefinitely. I enjoyed doing that way too much. Broforce is another game where you die in one hit but at least there isn't fall damage. Broforce is a bit more action packed with big guns. Sadly, you rarely use your big guns to do anything other then tunneling through the map. The whole map is destruct-able and there is a lot of things that explode. If one thing explodes, usually 12 move things explode and I always felt very fortunate when I didn't die when that happened. Riddled Corpses EX was a cute little twin-stick shooter where you kill zombies and demons. It turns into a bullet hell when the boss battles happen. You start out very weak but you eventually earn enough money to upgrade your stuff so much that you can earn the platinum with a decent amount of effort. The game is pretty good and fun. I'm surprised I actually liked the game since the developer also made Xenon Valkyrie+; I hate Xenon Valkyrie+ with a lukewarm passion. Uncanny Valley is another game I didn't like. At it's worst, it less fun watching wet paint dry. Uncanny Valley is a horror game where a security guard 'patrols' a abandoned building at night. Usually nothing happens while you're on guard duty. You can read old emails and play the arcade game in the breakroom to pass time. You can also go exploring and find the occasional item. I'll leave the rest of my thoughts in the spoiler tag if you care, since they're a bit spoilery. Spoiler The game says that your choices matter but they didn't really change much in my experience. This is this Eve character that will always abduct you because she loves you. You can never acknowledge her and it still happens. There is this guy named Buck who will always be upset with you no matter what you do. You will get a trophy if you befriend both Eve and Buck but I didn't feel like I befriended Buck. I think the last thing he said to me on that playthrough was that he hated me or something like that. The basement part of the game is fine. It turns into a bit of stealth game where you solve a few puzzles. You can get a gun during that part but the enemies take so many bullets that shooting them just isn't worth it (aside from obtaining the trophy for killing one). Xeodrifter was a good bit of fun. It's a cute little metroidvania game that is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You fight the same boss about 7 time but every time you fight it, it learns a new attack. I was a little worried about the one hour speedrun trophy despite being a self proclaimed speedrunner. I actually drew a decent map of the game on paper and had the boss order on it. It helped a lot and my second speedrun playthrough went very well. I hated the Rescue Missions in Zone of the Enders but the rest of the game was very enjoyable. Leo was a little annoying but almost any child character that talks annoys me (Hat Kid, Mustache Girl and Rom are the only exceptions I can think of). The gameplay mostly consists of flying in a mech while you destroy a bunch of unmanned mechs with guns and your sword. There are a whole 2 different enemy types but they learn new tricks as you progress through the game but you don't notice because you kill them before they can do much. Fortunately there are boss fights and they're fun. Alright, I'm out of games I feel like talking about. I have the full game list in the spoiler tag at the bottom. The last spoiler tag will always contain my full list. I won't update these lists because eventually I'll have to update 50 everytime I complete a game. I keep a list on the second page updated between these updates and you can go there if you can't wait a week. Spoiler The Unofficial Official Event Progress Tracker If a game is green, it's 100% complete. If a game is any other colour, it's not finished. 198X (PS4)A Rose in the Twilight (Vita) Broforce (PS4) Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online (PS4) Double Dragon Neon (PS3) Everybody's Golf (PS4) Fallout 4 (PS4) Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PS4) htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary (Vita) Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone (PS4) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Vita) Infinifactory (PS4) Just Cause 3 (PS4)Jet Set Radio (Vita) King's Quest: The Complete Collection (PS4) L.A. Popular Post SpaceCoresDad
At last, D is for Death Stranding is finally complete! I wanted to start off with what I assume will be the longest one while on winter break, while I know I have the time to do it. I'm glad I did too, because that one was a doozy for sure. Over a hundred hours put on it, but it was a ton of fun the whole time. I can't really explain why delivering packages to a bunch of people with only the occasional action segment is fun, but... it is. I love Norman Reedus, I love BB, I love Mads Mikkelson, and I love Hideo Kojima. This is a game you should definitely play, just know it's very... unique. In the interest of spoilers, I don't think I'll say more. The last time I did an event based on the starting letter of games, I made a fun little graphic with each letter filled in as I went. I thought I'd do the same this time, for funsies. Warning though, it turned out pretty big. It's pretty barren now, but I promise it'll start being more interesting the more I go along. The bonus is going to be a little weird with three games for five letters... if anyone can think of a better word to use please let me know. ^^ Onto the next game! I think I need to play something shorter for this one. I can't take a hundred hour epic again, lmao.

igs63
Time for my first update! I plan to update weekly unless things are less interesting in which case I might drop back to fortnightly or monthly... or perhaps whenever I get a plat. We'll see So to start, shortly after deciding to join with Cyberpunk on my list, it's announced that Cyberpunk will be delayed until September. Lol. I reckon I'll still have enough time to fit it in provided I tackle most of my list as soon as I can, but luckily I did add a swap just in case (but I really don't want to have to use it). I did start and finish both Erica and Late Shift, my two FMV titles on the list. Both were quite enjoyable and good just to lay back and play something a little less intensive. Erica probably had the better endings and interactivity overall, with Late Shift it felt like there were like 2 ways to get the 'good' ending (which I managed to stumble into on my blind play through) and otherwise a lot of other choices ended in the bad ones. Erica on the other hand is a little more ambiguous with what the endings actually mean. I'm honestly not sure which one was really best. Late Shift however can be knocked out in a shorter amount of time, and with less playthroughs (since it allows returning to the menu to replay choices). Other than the above two, I did get stuck into Stranded Sails. I got a little diverted as I did jump back into Star Wars to finish off the story, the original entry for S on my list before I had to change it. I probably will put a little more time into that one just to get that 100%, however I am glad I had to put Stranded Sails in, as I'm really enjoying it so far, and it's possible it may have sat on the shelf for much longer if I hadn't had to put it in. My only complaint for it so far would be how it manages energy. It runs out soooo quickly, and as soon as you faint you're teleported back to home base. You don't lose any items and it refills half your energy but considering the amount of energy taken just from rowing and sprinting to and around islands it kinda sucks. It even takes energy to walk- less so than sprinting and I'm not sure if it does it all the time, but when I'm very low on energy I have noticed it does take it off when I'm just walking. Popular Post Andrea9281
It's been a big week for me, albeit no new platinums just yet. I finished Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer, and I finished my entire first playthrough of Lords of the Fallen. I simply can't recommend @ProfBambam55's GTA IV Multiplayer Guide enough. It's one of the most comprehensive and easy to follow boost guides that I've used, and it made the journey to get this MP done much, much less painful than I thought it would be. The hardest part for us was learning how to use the helicopter during the co-op missions, but even those were done in just a few hours in total. I've also played 30 of the games 80 single-player story missions while working on the Liberty City Minute trophy for finishing the story with less than 30 hours played. I like the characters well enough, but the missions are a little repetitive, and the overall storytelling is perhaps not as polished as what I remember of GTA V, or even the first Red Dead game. It will be a fun time sink platinum over the coming weeks. My biggest movement towards a platinum over the past week was definitely Lords of the Fallen, however. There's a great comprehensive walkthrough available for this game that made getting all the hidden trophies and collectibles a breeze. It's a Dark Souls clone, but the reason for its rarity is surely its relative obscurity and poor audience reception, not its difficulty. I've played only parts of different Souls games over the years and I found this to be incredibly easy. I finished all trophies except those requiring additional playthroughs in 12 hours of game time. I did find it more enjoyable than many people seemed to, but I think it helped that my expectations were quite low and that I wasn't wanting it to be as polished or challenging as a From Software game. It's a nice 6/10 kind of game. The DLC is absolutely terrible though. Extremely tanky enemies, tight quarters that make using the larger weapons annoying, and navigating a tedious, ugly, and homogeneous maze. Thankfully it is quite short. I do still have two more playthroughs to get platinum in Lords, which I may wrap up this week depending on how bored I get of the game. brejdak93
Another update and first platinum from my list - Infamous. Well it's 3rd Infamous games I played (done Second Son and First Light soon after I got PS4) and story wise in my opinion it was best one. Main story is kinda short, so doing 2 playtroughs one after another wasn't really a problem. Hard difficulty wasn't really hard - I probably died less times on my Evil-Hard run than on Good-Normal. I heard that final boss on hard is really tough, well it was not. I reached 25% HP checkpoint on my first try, then needed just few tries on last stage. Now I started Witcher 3, which I finished twice including 100% run and spend already around 200h on this masterpice. Plus on my Vita Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, it's visual novel with tactic battles, but since I don't really feel story I will probably skip it. iXanon
Update #2: ..or should that be non-update, as my event stats haven't changed from Update #1 and I remain at just 7% completion on the only game I've started (Alice: Madness Returns) ? So what have I been up to in that time? Week #1 I did no gaming at all due to other commitments, and in Week #2 I've played Resident Evil (for the Surpass Your Limits! - The Sequel event), Color Guardians (for the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Backlog Challenge event), and F1 2017 (to try and finish it, and unlock the platinum as my 2000th trophy). I figure once I get F1 2017 out of the way which has been a distraction in other events previously, and maybe Color Guardians also (it seems pretty easy) - I'll be less distracted in this event moving forwards. Geridian
Hello all, have you all had a good time. Don't have much to report: P Puzzle Agent (Nelson Tethers:) [PS3] is done since last weekend (11/01/2020). Han_the_Dragon
Well, my weekend didn't ended yet, but I guess that I can do my weekly update now. This week I finished Root Letter (not for the event....), and Under Night in-Birth, bringing my number of games completed for the event to 3 and effectively cleaning my first letter for the event. I do need to find a better way to do my updates (with the full list and mentioning what's completed), but not today.. Other than this, I'm still doing My Hero One Justice, maybe will finish it next weekend, but as of now, I will probably slow down a bit, because I want Final Fantasy VIII for the 225 plat, and I'm getting close to it, so, I need to focus on this side thing for a bit too.
