ArtikSkarab
A game based on movies and a interactive movie game. Lego Marvel's Avengers + Detroit: Become Human Well, it's been...checks calendar... almost 2 months since the last time I've written here. I've been sidetracked by other games and events on other sites (damn my FOMO), but I'm back and focused on my list once again! Since my last completion, only 2 games have been completed. Lego Marvel's Avengers is a LEGO game that is a direct retelling of both Year 1 and Year 2 of Marvel movies (From Captain America to Age of Ultron with some additionnal DLC). It has all the tropes of latter-day LEGO games, such as slightly buggy gameplay and too many collaectables, but didn't feel as terrible to play as Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. It's a good game, but only a medium recommendation. Detroit: Become Human, on the other hand, was a treat to play/experience. In a slightly futuristic world, androids are common place and are a staple of every day life. The story is centered on 3 main characters: Kara, a maid-style android who has recently been rebooted to take care of a little girl named Alice, Marcus, an android left for dead who is trying to liberate his bretheren from servitude and to give them 'free will', and Connor, an android prototype who's assisting the police to try stopping android crimes and 'deviancy'. As a Quantic Dream game, it's a story-driven game with a lot of QTE and choices that affect your story going foward. Characters can live or die depending on dialogue choices, QTE success/failure or relationship levels. On the technical front, this is a beautiful game with great graphics, really good aesthetics, that's pretty fun to go through on your first time as the choices mostly matter and the game even shows you how your path will diverge depending on what choices you make. In fact, the choices are actually so important that you can actually kill off 2 of your main characters and you just stop seing their side of the story. Speaking of story, I personally felt that the story left me with widely varying feelings, some better than others. Story spoilers below. Spoiler Connor's story is definitively the best and actually presents really well the main crux of the game: can an android really become human? His relationship with Hank, a gruff detective who disdains androids, is really great and actually has some really touching moments on both extremes (The partnership/Cyberlife questioning if you're his friend and the sadness/suicide if you stay a machine). On the other side, Kara's story is really poor and the Alice plot twist is really contrived/noncensical. I can see that they're doing a mothership story with her, but Kara is played so dumb and ACTUALLY KNOWS ALICE IS AN ANDROID SINCE THE BEGINNING really drags it down. It does have some good moments (the border event was actually really touching), but it's almost better just killing her off and not having to go through her story. As far as Markus is concerned, it's a mixed bag. The game has good intentions with him, but it really beats you over the head with the racism/androids are basically black people story and it drags it down a bit. But, I really like the fact that you can do both sides of the MLK/Malcolm X coin and I still think the march is a great set piece. Of the 2 Quantic Dreams games I've played (this and Heavy Rain), this is the better one, though I do have a soft spot for the murder mystery of Heavy Rain. This brings my completed games total to 13/27. Next focus is my second long game for the event, Project Cars 2, so hopefully the online grind isn't too painful. Also, as usual, the spreadsheet has been updated and some people are really close to their full completion already, but we still have 6 more months to go, so do not despair. Popular Post igs63
It's been a little while since I last updated- and I feel guilty because I don't really have anything particularly impressive to announce, but I have made a bit of progress. None on Assassin's Creed, heh, but I did start Infamous! It probably wasn't initially going to be the next thing I started, but I ended up getting onto it when I heard that the servers for Infamous 2 and Festival of Blood are not too great anymore. Fearing that I'd see spoilers if I started 2 right away to get the online trophies, (which was justified, considering the story of 1 is quickly rehashed at the start of 2) and the fact that it actually is the first Infamous game that is on my list here, I figured I'd get started on it by getting one playthrough done. One playthrough later here I am, with pretty much everything done, only my Hard Evil run to go (and a trophy related to trains, I missed this trophy until I completed all the train related side missions, and it's far too hard to get kills on the thing while it's at top speed haha). It was a really enjoyable game. Collecting the 350 blast shards was certainly something I'm glad I kept track on from the start- considering they don't show up on the map. It could have been a painful trophy but I tried to do it bit by bit as I progressed through the game. Having played the two titles that came to PS4 awhile ago, this game really scratched that Infamous itch I didn't realise I had, and so now I'm again hoping that Sucker Punch will decide to work on their next Infamous title once Ghost of Tsushima comes out. I seriously need more of the graffiti mini game from Infamous Second Son, I loved doing those so much and I can't believe nobody else has utilised the same sort of mechanics elsewhere... (if they have, please tell me because I've totally missed it!) As for next steps on this list-- once I've finished Infamous I'll hopefully start something else on the list (I have started a lot of non-event games over the last month.. oops) but the Last of Us Part 2 totally has me totally engrossed right now. Not only that but I'm going to be away from home for the next week with only my vita for gaming... but of course I've completed the only vita title I added to this list haha. I figured it's probably worth touching on the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again... which sucks when it's a part of this list. Maybe I should utilise the swap I posted in my first post- I guess that way I do have another vita game to play. Hope everyone has been well! Popular Post AuroraHistoire
Two Games that Took a Longish Time A week or two ago I decided to go back and complete Infinifactory. The reason was that I accidentally marked it down as complete in my last update. I was stuck on a very complicated level last time I played the game. I set aside a afternoon just to complete that level and the two other levels I had left. The second game that took a considerable amout of time was Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. It was mostly because I played it once, wasn't a fan of what I played and forgot it existed for 4 months. Once I went back to the game, I did warm up to it a little. I enjoyed my experience more than I disliked it but I'll probably never replay Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny again. It's mostly because I didn't like the combat in the game (except the gaint monster battles, those were quite fun). The trophy list surprisingly wasn't very grinding for a game that requires you to craft 1,500 things, defeat 5,000 monsters and catch 2,000 fish. I did the crafting requirement without even trying because you spend half of your time crafting. The monster one didn't take long since the game will quickly spawn infinite monsters as long as you don't take out their spawn points. I was a bit annoyed that despite being level 60 and having the best weapons, some monsters from the first dungeon still took 2 hits to defeat. Fishing took a few hours but the mini-game is simple and easy enough that you can do it one handed with very little thought (I guess you could use your free hand to play Earthbound at the same time). flashpool23
T (1 of 1 completed) - The Banner Saga I haven't updated here in a while but here's a new completion! I'm pretty sure I'd have delayed playing this game as I had before but I had enough reason to get to it now thanks to this event. It is definitely a new favorite of mine and I'm looking forward to playing the sequels once I get around to it. My writeup would usually be longer for this one but I pretty much wrote it all on the recent platinum thread if you'd like to see.
Popular Post SpaceCoresDad
End of the month is approaching, and I don't think I'm going to get another platinum before then, so I figured I'd post my update now. I've made a ton of progress! This is really coming together. W is for Watch_Dogs 2 was really really great! Coming off a few crap games, it was great to be able to sit back and actually enjoy a AAA title for once. I had been meaning to get to this for ages, especially with Legion supposedly coming out at the end of the year, and I really can't recommend it more. The platinum's not hard to get, and the 100% is cheap if you catch the DLC on sale, so yeah. If you even remotely thought the first game was interesting, this was pretty much a direct upgrade. I loved it. E is for Extinction on the other hand... wow. This game was hot garbage, lmao. Imagine Attack on Titan, but instead of freaky misshapen humans, it's a bunch of generic ogres, then take away the cool 3D Maneuver Gear that lets them fly around and stuff. Oh, and take out almost all of the fun too. The game is buggy, unpolished, and just not a lot of fun to play, so I really can't recommend it unless you're like me and have a perverse enjoyment of bad media. If you ARE interested though, I wrote up a trophy guide for this game! The only other one I could find was pretty inaccurate, and not very detailed, so for any poor souls that want to give this a shot I hope it helps. Q is for Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut was a pretty fun one. There's a precious few games that even have Q as their beginning letter, so it was fun to add another one to the list. Apparently this started out as a student project that was then taken to the next level? If that's true, this is very impressive. The puzzles are nothing groundbreaking, but they were a fair bit of fun, and even the time trials weren't too bad. Overall a cute little game. J is for Jedi: Fallen Order was really great too! It's sort of like Baby's First Dark Souls? They play very similarly, but Fallen Order is leagues easier. I'd say that's a point in its favor though honestly. I do wish you were more mobile from the beginning, since it feels like you aren't "really" playing the game until you get all the force powers halfway in, but it was still quite a bit of fun. A must play for any Star Wars fan, and hopefully a step in the right direction for EA to finally use that exclusive license to start developing solid single player games. I'm also basically done with For Honor. I only have one trophy left, but it requires waiting actual real life time to get so there's no telling when that'll be done. I haven't been keeping track of how many battles I've placed troops in, so I might get it next month, I might get it next week. We'll just have to see, but at least the hard part is all done. It's really a big relief to have it basically done, since the rest of the games shouldn't be too bad from here on out.
FairyCal
June Update: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q Q+ R S T U V W X X+ Y Z Z+ Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Start: 02.05.2020 | Finish: 05.06.2020 Moss Start: 05.06.2020 | Finish: 08.06.2020 The Order: 1886 Start: 11.06.2020 | Finish: 11.06.2020 VA-11 Hall-A Start: 15.06.2020 | Finish: 29.06.2020 And there is like 6 months later. When I looked first at my list before start of this event, I was afraid that it will be hard to actually finish it on time, since I didn't know If I'll actually play them. This list was mosty about games that were interesting for me but somehow I couldn't start. Now, when I look at everything, I'm glad I'm participating in this event, because I could finally find motivation and play a lot of nice games. After all this time, I think that I could actually choose more "difficult" or time consuming ones, since even when I played not only games from this list I mostly dedicated myself with this event So there are 6 months and 6 games left, so there is chance that I'll also touch my backup games when I'll finish all of my 29 games.

Add it whenever you'll have time Apologies, that was me that missed it - Artik does updates for games on 1-15th of the month, and I do 15th-end. I fixed it now Also, it looks like a lot of people have either forgot or are no longer interested in this event? There's a lot of profiles where they complete a lot of games but none for this event. I'm wondering if it's worth still tracking them all? It takes a long time to update all those participants if some are no longer interested. @iXanon do you think it's maybe worth pinging people to see if they're still planning on going for the event? We're at the half way point and a lot of people only have one or two games complete so the chances of doing another 24 are slim, I imagine? That said, I'm sort of in the same boat in that I keep completing games that aren't on my list. But I do intend to go back to my list and work on it, I just keep getting sidetracked. So if others are like me, I'm happy to keep tracking them if they plan to try for the event, it's no problem. It's only really those that have decided to no longer pursue the event that I'd even consider removing.
Han_the_Dragon
It's been a while since I last posted, and I'm still quite busy (and getting side tracked), so, it's unlikely that I will finish my list... But let's see how far I can get.. Since my last post, I believe that I finished for the event the following: G - The Grand Tour: The Game D2 - Chaos on Deponia (EU) (D not completed yet) I may continue to play Deponia for the time being (while I try to progress on Ride 2, Tales of Zestiria, Gems of War and Street Fighter V and maybe other games...).

I found it pretty interesting and its made me want to read up on the revolution in more detail. #1979 black friday DONE A- Assassin's creed 2 DONE B- Bully C- Cat quest 2 DONE D- Dead space 2 (GER) DONE E- The elder scrolls V: skyrim vr DONE F- Final fantasy 8 DONE G- God of war (ps3) H- Harry potter & the half blood prince DONE I- Illusion of L'Phalcia DONE J- Jurassic the hunted DONE K- Kingdoms of amalur reckoning L- Lord of the rings: Aragorn's quest M- Mass effect 2 DONE N- Need for speed: Rivals DONE O- Obduction P- Paranormal activity: The lost soul Q- Quest of dungeons R- Reverie DONE S- Saw DONE T- Tales from the borderlands DONE U- Uncharted: The lost legacy V- Vampyr W- Wanted: Weapons of fate X- X-blades Y- Yesterday origins Z- Zerotopian invasion DONE 15/27 Completed
ArtikSkarab
Street Fighting and Street Racing I Am The Hero + Project Cars 2 Two more Plats on the board. First, the Ratalaika published indie brawler I Am The Hero. Story-wise, a mysterious figure only known as the hero appears in 'City' and wants to defeat 'Vilain'. Basically, no real story nor plot, but it does play with beat-em up tropes. Gameplay-wise, it's a very basic 2D brawler with no plane system nor a block button, so everything is mashing some combos and hope you don't get countered. Plat wise, the whole game is clearable in about 2 hours, but is not difficult to complete. No real depth or surprises about it; it really is a 5-10$ indie game that's okay, but nothing more. Next, the racing simulator Project Cars 2. This game has a ton of depth if you're a simulator fanatic, but has enough assists to enable everyone to play it. It has a pretty good variety of racing styles (F1, Rally, Endurance, etc.) and a pretty good selection of cars and tracks. As far as the plat grind is concerned, the 350 online races are really annoying. Especially if you don't have a partner as most online players are doing 10 minutes minimum pro races, so it would take a while. The safety grind is also really boring, but at least it's grindable solo. Final playtime was 35 hours, so less than I expected. That brings my completion to 15/27. Next project will be the apocalyptic escort mission that is Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. 11-11 Memories Retold Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood Detroit: Become Human Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Final Fantasy VII God of War II Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (NA) I Am the Hero (NA) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven Knights of Pen and Paper +1 LEGO Marvel's Avengers Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Nier One Piece: Burning Blood Project Cars 2 QUBE 2 River City Girls (NA) Stein's Gate (NA) Torchlight II Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late Va-11 Hall-A The Witch and the Hundred Knight X-Blades Yakuza 5 Zero Time Dilemma Edited July 5, 2020 by ArtikSkarab

GerritSlak
At long last I'm done with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I was thinking of taking another break from it because it gets so repetitive doing the missions but decided to stuck with it because I was so close. Glad to have the biggest game on my list done. Beaten the story of Death Stranding but still have to do a lot of deliveries before I'm done. Also started King Oddball which is pretty easy so far but I think the levels will get much harder. Completed Letters: A, E, J, G, L, P, R, U, V, X, Z
