Yea i think that is basically all the songs except 1 that some BS

The base game contains the following six songs (Japanese short versions only):

- Bakamitai

- Devil's Hell Pot

- Harukaze

- Like a Butterfly

- Machine Gun Kiss

- Shape of Dream

It's strange though... They go through all the effort of dubbing the entire game and then decide to lock the English versions of the songs behind a $90/90€ paywall.

As far as I know there's no karaoke dlc songs to PLAY them, you just listen to them at the jukebox. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked into this again and it seems that you are indeed correct. While looking through the Asian PSN pages for this particular DLC, I found this:

Quote

*This DLC will not increase the number of songs available in the Karaoke function of the game.
*To play songs included in the Karaoke New Songs & CD Pack, please transfer them to a PlayStation®4 compatible USB storage device.
For further details regarding use, please see the PlayStation®4 User Guide.
https://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps4/music/usbmusic.html

※This item is also offered in a pack.

DLC for Ryu Ga Gotoku 7: Hikari To Yami No Yukue.
Includes full-length versions of songs for Ichiban and friends as well as a CD which can be used at Bar Survivor. Total of 5 songs.

Includes:
Full-length versions of the following 5 songs, as well as an in-game CD item that allows these songs to be used at the Bar Survivor.

-Devil's Hell Pot (Full Spec Ed.)/Ichiban Kasuga (Kazuhiro Nakaya)
-The Me I Dreamed Of (Full Spec. Ed.)/Ichiban Kasuga (Kazuhiro Nakaya)
-harukaze (Full Spec. Ed.)/Saeko Mukouda (Sumire Uesaka)
-Machine Gun Kiss (Police Spec. Ed.)/Kouichi Adachi (Akio Otsuka)
-Devil's Hell Pot (Mafia Spec Ed.)/Tianyou Zhao (Nobuhiko Okamoto)

Unless RGG Studio and Sega decide to change something for the Western release, the songs will seemingly only be there for BGM in-game and for your own listening pleasure outside of the game.

You're welcome. :)

Oh, and one more thing: The DLC sets can be purchased separately in Asia, so I assume it will be the same for Europe and North America. The complete Song Set for example costs 2,480 Yen in Japan, which is roughly $23 or 20€, while one of the song packs alone costs 800 Yen (~6.45€ / ~$7.46). The full Japanese DLC list can be found here, while the one for Hongkong and other regions can be found here.

And here's a screenshot of the CD player thingy where the songs can be used in-game.

The Yakuza games are doing dubs again?

... ok? Bit of an odd decision I'd say but the real question is whether its gonna be bad, bad? or this kind of bad:

(Of course there is the hidden 3rd option that it actually turns out kind of good .. anythings possible right?)

Minor update on the release date - the PS4 version will launch 3 days earlier on November 10:

And the PS5 version will launch on March 2, 2021:

Timed exclusive next gen is annoying and Phil Spencer was sooooooo against timed exclusivity recently too
